Why am I grinning ear to ear? Great video of a great couple! "Then you saw me for me, made me believe in myself." Because Jane is so brilliant in his human observations, and such a funny/fun character to watch, it's easy for us to forget how vulnerable he actually is. Jane is ready to sacrifice his life in pursuit of vengeance. But Lisbon saves him literally (arriving early to catch Hardy) and figuratively (throwing him a life line by suggesting he use his skills to help victims). She gave him a purpose, helped him find hope again, never gave up on him, always led him to the light.
What I loved was Jane no matter how crazy or “out of the box” thinking he did, he was always there for Lisbon. Yeah he annoyed her but when u binge watch the show u can just see how he did anything n everything for her to keep n make her happy.
You said it perfectly, her safety, her happiness, her wellbeing were the most important things to Jane. And she didn't have a clue about how much he loved and absolutely woworshipped her .
Being able to stream it altogether does give a more clear perspective than watching it live through 7 years. I felt like Jane tried really hard to explain his actions to Lisbon, that he never intentionally hurt her. Hurt still happened, but it wasn’t because he was being cruel to her.

Jane suffered PTSD from having discovered the bodies of his wife and daughter and the crushing grief, guilt, self loathing and profound remorse he felt for the part he played in Red John killing them. It was his arrogance, his hubris, his actions that made them a target for RJ, he knew it and was determined never anyone get close to him again. Then he met Lisbon and was drawn to her from day one , nothing was more important to him than her, her safety, her happiness and her wellbeing. And if being deceptive, secretive, pushing her away or disappearing kept her safe he would do it because he believed it was the best way to keep her safe. However Jane's didn't realise just how much these actions really hurt Lisbon. Subconsciously Lisbon loved him and more than anything she wanted to be in Jane's life and when he shut her out or she thought she was losing him she was devastated. Conversely she didn't know he treated like that because he loved and wanted to protect her .

I watched it without reading others’ reviews or comments, to decrease influences. And I felt that Jane connected with Lisbon because she saw through his facade. And then as he got to know her, he fell for her. I might argue that Jane was not necessarily deceptive. We know that he guesses and follows his instincts. Sometimes he's wrong, like he was with the widow in Season 1. He probably thinks that he doesn't need to tell everything he's thinking until he knows something for sure. He even says to Hightower, "Certainty is the mother of fools." He's been honest that he's not a psychic, that he guesses, that he works with a control statement and then goes from there. He's admitted that some people who are very good liars will get past him. He admits when people trick him, and it takes him a little longer to figure it out. AND, he never had any problem showing or explaining how he does it. For him, it was not proprietary knowledge that he didn't want to share. He even explains it to the people he catches. So I never felt like he tried to deceive. That's why I believed him when he said he was conning Lorelei and not falling for her. Attracted to her, sure, but not falling for her. Just like he may have felt attracted to Erica, but he knew exactly what she was and didn't pursue anything with her. But with Lisbon, he risks his life for her, always. In season 3 finale, when she was strapped to the bomb, he was willing to die with her, even if it meant he may never get his revenge. In season 4 finale, the idea of hurting Lisbon distressed him so much that he couldn't think straight. In season 5, he is at his darkest arc, but he kept Lisbon at a distance in order to protect her. In 6x01, we see how deeply he has come to care about her. After they argue in the diner and she leaves, he runs out after her. He finishes closing the current case and then he calls her over and over and over. The devastation on his face when he thinks she's calling back, only for it to be RJ's voice, taunting him. And seeing RJ's mark on her face, he is terrified that his fear almost came true - that RJ used her to get to him. At the hospital, he would have already learned that she was not injured, and yet he still stayed by her side all night, so worried that he didn't even know what time it was. All these behaviors reflect a man deeply in love. The words are not spoken, but the actions are indisputable.
The video is perfectly synced with the song, holy mother of all that is good and pure. The show's the epitome of fictional shows for me. It's got, thrill, adventure, comedy, sarcasm, romance..... everything

This is the perfect love story. I so rooted for them. I always ship the characters that have the most loyal or most interesting dynamic. It is suprisingly often not the canon love interest. But Jane and Lisbon, they truly respect each other and there is no doubt they are the most important (living) person in each others lifes. Jane is Lisbons adventure, her secret longing and best friend. Lisbon is Janes rock. His world is anchored in her.
