I think it's just her personality. People keep expecting a twist but it's just her being her. I fought her 3 times and her dialogue shows her past trauma. She is just a jumpy person, like "watch your own back", "trust no one" kind of thing.
It's interesting that they used the usual paldea trainer theme instead of tournament's. I'd like the tournament's one in my opinion but it's cool that that melody was specially made for that tournament too

I don't think you paid much attention to the game bits that's more your thing. Especially since gen 2 isn't considered a lazy game in anyway but most fans

Good on u for using an even leveled team. Some of these just use level 100 Pokémon the whole time and it makes it so boring

You have to interact with and trade mons with them. As you do, you’ll unlock the academy teachers and elite four.
L battle music, should've at least used the academy ace tourna music. Seems like SV really messed up when it came to post game rematch music

Gen 2 is ranked as a lazy game but this is the worst gen solely because of lazy 1Dimensional characters with boring lackluster designs
