Mark another awesome video.This one really opened my eyes, will listen over ,and over so much in this short video.PDF would be nice thank you from my heart.
I don't have any idea of jazz, but I am searching how to enrich the tipical 7 chords and this video is probably the best in the whole internet for people like me. It will take years to master but the video is very well made. I will start with the first set of the extra chords. Thank you for sharing, subscribed!
. . . E X C E L L E N T . . . ! So far this is the most systematic compilation of harmonic structures that you can be confrontated with in Jazz music. Thanx for the upload - I AM HAPPY!!! This helps me a lot with my own teaching structures!😉🦊
This is great . It's too bad that you didn't have time for more examples. Off the top of my head what comes to mind are "Wee Small hours..", "I Should Care", "Yardbird Suite", backcycling blues, i.e., "Blues for Alice"
I understood the parallel minor in modal interchange use was the Aeolian scale. You referred to the parallel minor as the Dorian scale. Am I incorrect?

The tensions for a dominant chord are: 9, b9,#9,4 (sus, usually not with 3) -> 3, #11, 13, b13.
Wonderful lesson Marc
Excellent lesson, Marc. Really helpful to opening one's mind and ears.
Great video, Marc. Lots of food for thought and musical consumption.😉
