That is a beautiful home. This has to be one of the better homes you've shown on here. I would live on that balcony, the views, plus it just seems so comfortable.
As impressive as it is. I can’t bring myself to spend 2 mil and not have my own laundry. Granted if I can spend to mil on a place I can probably afford to have someone do that for me.
I don't what the laws are like in NYC but in CA, my parents live in a community where there is a shared washer and dryer. They wanted their own so I spent $400 to get them a near-top-of-the line washer which hooks up to the kitchen sink. They can move it when they don't need to use as it is on wheels. There are also smaller dryers for about the same price. Unless one is doing laundry daily or with unusual items, it's not a huge deal. Given how pricy NYC is, the $1000 extra spent on such devices is a minor inconvenience for the value of this apartment. 20 years ago, I lost out on a prime piece of property because my dad kept quibbling about the lack of an extra full bathroom (when we could have added one after purchase). That house and large yard is now out of my range, having quadrupled in value since then.
True. OTOH, I live in a 4BR home of almost 3000 sq.ft. with our laundry room being bigger than many bedrooms shown on this channel. Cost us about 1/10th of this apartment, and our annual property tax is what the owners of this place will pay in a month. The "downside" being that I have to drive everywhere as there's no real public transit, and I can't walk to a nice theater or museum - I have to drive a bit more than an hour for that, although most all other amenities are within 45 minutes travel. I don't mind, however, as the same applied when I lived in the urban sprawl that is the San Francisco Bay Area where I was raised, and I've driven everywhere most of my life. The only difference now is that the miles between home and my destination are filled with wilderness instead of undifferentiated suburbia.
2 million, its a beautiful place and pretty big. I see homes at that price range where I live and you get so much more, but hey its not NYC, so can't compare really. Stay healthy, happy and safe always. Blessed be

I love it. And 2mil seems more than reasonable for the size and location. I think a lot of the updating wouldn't be needed too much if you just painted the walls, cabinets, etc and updated the fixtures and decor. Then change bigger things out as needed. But overall it seems like a great deal
You know, I really like this. Yes, a lot of the finishes (especially the bathrooms) are dated, but it has really great character. I love the long mirrored medicine cabinet in the bathroom. Those are the kind of cool features they don't make anymore. Also, the layout is spacious and a really good use of space. You can always update cabinets, counters, faucets or light fixtures, but you can't fix bad space. Great bones!
I can’t help it, I love that rose bathrobe, just gorgeous. The yellow one can go back to McDonalds and the master bathroom is crying out for a jetted tub. Definitely homey, and the living room/dining room make for some fun dinner parties. I wonder if the furniture is included at that price? (The paintings are not to my taste, though I love that little vase they showed at one point.). Also, a usable balcony! Even the Jeffersons didn’t have that!
The Kingsley is at 400 E. 70th St. slightly east of 1st Ave. Just a hop away from the East River and Roosevelt Island...for those who like to know exact locations.
Was just there last week, exact block and Avenue. The Little Beet 👍🏼, Patsy Pizza 👎🏼 but most amazing were the locals flocking in and out of Panda Express 😮. First and Third avenue full of restaurants and great buildings. One of the best spots in Manhattan to live.
The bathroom cabinet under the sink is not locked. Most cabinets under sink the top is just decoration. Think about it- if that were a functional drawer, how would the sink fit?
Cash I think a good thing to mention when you're touring apartments for sale as opposed to rentals would be the Strata/Body Corp fees. They can be pretty hefty for larger apartments in nicer buildings like this. I remember here in Aus, my dad and I once looked at an apartmen similar in size/style to this in a premium postcode that my dad was contemplating buying to rennovate. It was $2 mill aud for the apartment but we nearly died when we found out the yearly strata fees were $25,000!
@@thecatatemyhomework Not exactly the same, but more or less yeah, maintenance and insurance/building costs etc. So for my 1br apartment, I pay roughly $4k-4.5k a year in quarterly payments for my strata fee. This goes toward building management, insurance, cleaning, concierge team, maintenance for multiple lifts, pool, gym, tennis court, common area electricity etc. You obviously pay more relative to the size of your apartment and the size of the building. We also don't pay land tax here on our primary residence, only an annual municipal fee (rates) for local council services, works out to like another $1200 a year for me. American Fees sound nuts! $65k aud annualy on top of a $2million purchase price, that's a big oof.
@Heartsongsutube wow. You pay 2mil just to have the privilege of... well... paying more rent. Basically. Wow man, I think I keep my house in Switzerland. Absolute bargain comparatively.

I suppose it's helpful to see high-priced apartments in video because we'll never live in one. It's very nice, but for two million bucks I ain't sharin' laundry machines with anyone! It boggles my mind that for the price they don't include such a basic item, but perhaps they assume that the owner's staff takes care of things like laundry. They'd better at least have a sink sprayer!
When I moved to NYC from New Hampshire in 2001, I laughed when I saw dish detergent, soap, and toothpaste advertised and splayed in pharmacy windows! Now I’m like ooooooo, look at these sales 😮!!!! 🤣
@@maddscientist3170 Because where I lived, stores only put really nice things in window displays and CVS, KMART, etc didn’t have window displays at all. When I was 18,19 20 years old, I worked in center city Philadelphia for FMC Corp. Because our main office was in the Empire State Bldg., we got free passes to go to the top anytime we were in NY. Soooooo several of my friends and I got together about 1 weekend a month and got the train to NY and shared a hotel room, which at that time was just around the corner from Mamma Leonie's restaurant, so we would go there for dinner one of our two nights there. I say all this because way back then, we were never privy to going around to other parts of the city because we did not realize how large NY City was and if we had ventured out, we would probably still be there trying to figure out how to get home. I am so enjoying your videos and getting to see all the places I did not get to see way back then. Oh yes, we did take a trip to Greenwich Village one day and that was a little scary for us, but one of the girls met a guy who was very nice ????? who invited us to his apartment there and he lived in one of those very little things you are showing and there were so many people in there that you would need a can opener to get them all out. Enough of that. I need to tell you that I am loving your videos and seeing these different places and wondering what they would have cost back in the 60-70's.
Built in 1984... So, it’s 38 years old... $1,900,000.00 a great price for a 2 Bed, 2&1/2 Baths in that location. $2,006.00 a month in taxes. Wait for it... Your monthly “Common” Charges are $1,695.00! Both bedrooms have en-suites, that’s wonderful. Plus the separate “Powder Room” (Half Bath) for your guests!
the common fees aren't that bad considering. Still it's been on the market for a few months because it screams 1985. It's a million dollars reno job to bring it into the 21st century.
not a big city guy but this is one of the few I'd consider ... that kind of money in most metro areas gets you a comparable sized house and no views...not bad
The apartment has a nice 70's feel🤮. But more to the point, people need to be outraged by these prices. Paying that type of money is unacceptable, and saying it's New York doesn't make it right. One of these days people will start protesting all of this nonsense for what is in essence a basic human right; for a person to be able to live in a functioning safe place.
From what I understand.....there is foreign money buying up the million dollar plus apartments and sitting on it...perhaps money laundering or a tax right off......I am a New Yorker I actually DID see a very nice apartment in the upper east side..with a friend...it has 2 bedrooms..on bath half the size of this apartment..it was going for 900,000..... I could see it going for 400,00 or 500,000....not 900,000....but it is New York and there is that foreign money competition.
Supply and demand. NYC is very dense and as such space is at a premium. Combine that with the fact that there is much more money circulating in dense urban areas than there would be out in the country and you get people with 6 figure salaries willing to pay 70% of it on rent.
It has a great view, but basically it's a two-bedroom apartment. the bedrooms are an okay size, not great. The kitchen is tiny, as is the dining room (which they renamed the "alcove"). Only the living room is large enough to be considered luxurious. This is basically an ordinary apartment with two great advantages: location and views. But $2 million!?

Who cares anyways?!
I only wanted to compliment Mr. Cash !
There are UA-cam videos of people showing us how they decorated their small NY apartments. Don't know if Cash rented or showed any of them but they're very creative and interesting.
@@FrankiesFancy
Ok, Thank You!
@@TheMjphoto45 Seriously 😒 why do you care? 3-4 it doesn’t matter in fact I didn’t even notice, why you ask?, bc I don’t care 🤷♀️
Been addicted to this channel for a few months now and I’m catching up on the backlog of videos. Gonna be a real sad day when I finally do catch up. I have found though that if it’s a video with one of Joan’s units, I’m gonna like the video. she really does have the best stuff.
I haven't finished the video.. but I wish I lived close enough to get to that coffee shop cause rum infused coffee sounds AMAZING
Very nice apartment, great neighbourhood. Not what I would call 'basic' Cash! For $1.9m I would expect home laundry rather than have to drag it down a hall or worse!
I’m curious, can you turn the half bath into a laundry room? With the current arrangement I don’t think you really need so many toilets really
@ͲᎬᏞᎬᏀᎡᎪᎷ ᎷᎬ ᏟᎪՏᎻᎫϴᎡᎠᎪΝ no, I won’t. Stop doing that
I sooo love logging in and you have a new vid to start my day!! Huge greetings from Nova Scotia! Huge Fan!!
Yes..One please! Totally me! The whole place is fantastic...well maybe not the blue lounger 😀 that one is for some sweet parent of the owners. All around great space. And surely one could get in house laundry set up. No prob. I would be on that deck all the time. The views to die for! Thanks again for the tour!
I noticed that too.😆
Wow beautiful apartment, great view and i love balcony
OMG. I have an obsession with yellow paper coffee cups. I've collected them from a coffee & tea shop in Canada called Blenz for a couple years now and i got about 200 LOL. FOR REAL. I'll make a video about it some day ... ☕
Thank you for sharing. Great view and looking nice.
@ͲᎬᏞᎬᏀᎡᎪᎷ ᎷᎬ ᏟᎪՏᎻᎫϴᎡᎠᎪΝ You are welcome. You make me laugh on tours. And that makes me to call my Father and Step-Mother there in New York to see hope they are doing. And to get a laugh from them.😊😊😊
That is a beautiful home. This has to be one of the better homes you've shown on here. I would live on that balcony, the views, plus it just seems so comfortable.
Always great content. I enjoy touring these places w u. Can you come to Boston (MA) and do this?
As impressive as it is. I can’t bring myself to spend 2 mil and not have my own laundry. Granted if I can spend to mil on a place I can probably afford to have someone do that for me.
That was also a kitchen for someone else to use!
I agree! And only One washer and dryer per floor? With all those bathrooms, I'd convert one or at least part of one, into a laundry area.
agreed
You'd think for that price that there would be a washer dryer combo in the apartment.
Need’s a complete gut job . It was like a Trip back to the 70’s. All those golden fixtures and striped wallpaper and track lights .
That view reminded me of the opening intro in Green Acres. Yes, I am old.
Ha! I was just humming that as I was reading through the comments! "I just adore a penthouse view. Darling, I love you but give me Fifth Avenue!"
2 million, its a beautiful place and pretty big. I see homes at that price range where I live and you get so much more, but hey its not NYC, so can't compare really. Stay healthy, happy and safe always. Blessed be
My friend use to work at 64th and park. This is a beautiful apartment and view. Thank you for sharing . We love your sense of humor 😎
Hoping you have a nice weekend. Showed us a lot of good stuff this week, thanks busy man.
@ͲᎬᏞᎬᏀᎡᎪᎷ ᎷᎬ CASHJORDAN Hi fake Cash Jordan. Keep leaving these & I'll just keep reporting you.
What a beautiful place! And so spacious! The price is pretty decent especially for such a large place, New York City standards at least. It's absolutely gorgeous gorgeous come a Cash, thank you for showing it to us. I look forward to every video you post.. By the way, these people have what seems to be a beautiful art collection on the walls!
@@user-ph1hq4bw8e you are most welcome! Let me tell you, you have gotten me through a serious illness for the last 2 months, because I've enjoyed your videos so much. Don't know what I would have done without them! And I'll keep watching, numerous times of week. Best thing on the internet!
Hello. Wow this is a very pretty apartment. Now if there was another walk in closet it would of been perfect.
I love it. And 2mil seems more than reasonable for the size and location. I think a lot of the updating wouldn't be needed too much if you just painted the walls, cabinets, etc and updated the fixtures and decor. Then change bigger things out as needed. But overall it seems like a great deal
Mr. Jordan that apartment is nice and whoever is the lucky person to move in there will not be disappointed.
Happy Friday, Cash!😎 Have a great weekend👍
Really beautiful place, but no laundry in apt? The lobby and exercise rooms are beautiful. Wonderful views! Very nice with good price point! 👍
Always interesting to see what different New York apartments look like. Great video!
This apartment is amazing. Thanks for your videos. I enjoy watching and have a Blessed Day
WOW SUPER COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!👌 I was in Midtown Yeahhhhh, so cool ❣️
Fabulous place,, lots of windows. love it!
The monthly maintenance and real estate taxes combined are approximately $3,700 a month. What is strata/body corp.? Sounds weird.
Absolute bargain comparatively.
that transition from the bike then screen flip👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I actually wouldn’t change a thing in this apartment. It’s perfect as it is. I hate super modern homes and really hate high ceilings, so this apartment would be a dream. I love that the ceilings are low, and the whole feel of the place feels very cosy and welcoming.
Beautiful ! From the lobby to the old school luxury unit all I could think was Champlain tower Miami ....
This tower wasn’t built on sand though , I’m sure it will stand forever!
Over 1000 restaurants have closed in Manhattan since 2020 but you wouldn't know it to see so many still up. One nice condo.
This is what those upscale apartment people should be buying instead of renting. You're living in the meca with that view! Great video as always!
Love it! Now this is living but I couldn't live that high up. Love the kitchen and those doors to close off the hallway. Kitchen was great. Had a little to much furniture in living room for me though. And the windows were awesome with so much light. Great job Cash🥰🤗
@ͲᎬᏞᎬᏀᎡᎪᎷ ᎷᎬ CASHJORDAN love the apartments and different ways renters and buyers can live in the City. Your humor and background knowledge helps sell these locations. And thank you for sharing ur beautiful family and ur travels with ur fans. If I were moving to the city I'd use u in an heartbreak. Be well my quirky friend Warmly Cookie Kirkland ♥️
don't see how that is any different than walking into another chain pharmacy like CVS, Walgreens, RiteAid, Duane Read & the rest of them!
@@maddscientist3170 Because where I lived, stores only put really nice things in window displays and CVS, KMART, etc didn’t have window displays at all. I don’t recall there being sales on those items either? We would go to the one pharmacy in town and there wasn’t much thought on how much your soap cost? Window displays in stores were for new exciting things like leather jackets, jewelry, etc
For the apt, view & neighborhood it’s definitely worth the $!!!
This apartment building reminds me of the building they show at the beginning of The Jeffersons! Love the apartment, wish I had what it's worth in the bank. Still, nice departure from the norm! Have a great Labor Day weekend Cash & Fam.
I'm sure you could reno to put a stacked W/D in the kitchen. Great floor, views, bones. King-me at the Kingsley !
Magnificent unit!!
Beautiful condo. I'd pay $1.5 - $1.9 million for it if I was going to live in NYC.
It's all about location and the view in NYC!
That kicthen is set up perfectly for anyone with little ones at home
Gorgeous! Love the view!
The price is reasonable and the condo is very nice with fantastic views , but no in- unit laundry ? The neighborhood and building is great but no in- unit laundry ? What were the builders even in the 70s (?) thinking ?
So sad about the people having to move at their age. I hope they will be alright.
Keep up the good work , Cash !
----- Sharon in South Florida , and well acquainted with condos and their layouts for almost 70 years.
Nice!..Now that's some good New York living. 2 million is a nice price!.. love the counter space in the kitchen. I could do some serious cooking in there..😉👍🏿
This apartment is absolutely stunning. I love it. A quintessential New York apartment. And for that price, it's probably in a bidding war right now. It will probably sell before Cash uploads this video.
One of the best apartments i seen in the history of this channel, just my exact type of apartment
City Slickers More power to you. I will take quiet nature and TONS AND TONS of space over this. Thank you for sharing.
A few things:
1) Does the Q line make you want to quit your job?
2) The guy on the skateboard passed you Cash!
Yes, if I had the money, I would buy that place for sure. Very nice views and layout. The balcony is really nice.
This is a fantastic deal. The size and area can't be beat.
Nice View.
Worth every dollar… beautiful neighborhood great price… awesome space best place yet!!!!
This is Really Gonna B so Good CJ🔥🔥🔥👍….
very comfortable! clean windows! nice size rooms [for a change]. not that one can "buy" happiness,but...sshhh....yes you can.
Wow I just seen my future home!! What a beautiful place❤️❤️ great video!!
7:44 What’s also full-size is the bottle of Kettle One on the counter.
REALLY
BEAUTIFULLY PRESENTED
Beautiful!! Love the gym! And the views!!!
not a big city guy but this is one of the few I'd consider ... that kind of money in most metro areas gets you a comparable sized house and no views...not bad
A basic human RIGHT? A nice place to live is subjective. Who decides what is safe? You?
It has a great view, but basically it's a two-bedroom apartment. the bedrooms are an okay size, not great. The kitchen is tiny, as is the dining room (which they renamed the "alcove"). Only the living room is large enough to be considered luxurious. This is basically an ordinary apartment with two great advantages: location and views. But $2 million!?
Prices are outrageous in every state!
Simply gorgeous.
400 East 70th Street Apartment 2405
1.284 square feet 2-bedroom 2.5 bath
$1,695 monthly fees
It's a full-service building with a full-time doorman (not a video kiosk)
I like the views and the three sides exposure, the balcony is nice too
It has been listed for close to four months, something is keeping it unsold.
It's a really nice apartment, love the balcony, but I really feel a place that size should have in unit laundry.
Now ,this is a beautiful large apartment 👍🏻❤️
Wow that apartment reminds me of our apartment back then when I was growing up we lived on the 25th floor but back then it's was a section 8 building up on 96 st on the westside it's was 733 Amsterdam Ave and now it's a high rise building expensive now
Your background music is awesome every single video! ❤️
This place is great. For the city, the size and the building amenities the price is right. The only changes that are needed are updates to the bathrooms. Otherwise its move in ready
That apartment is a great size and a good location. A big HOWEVER, is the whole apartment needs a full renovation and modernised.
