- Mr. Jeff The Custodian had the privilege of meeting a subscriber while on vacation. This Subscriber started a cleaning business with now commercial cleaning experience. So he started researching on how to cleaning and how to strip and wax floors. UA-cam was the go to. That’s when he found Mrjeffthecustodian on UA-cam. To hear how and why he got into this business is very inspiring. They subscriber will encourage you if you are intimidated about being a custodian or even trying anything. To hear him tell his story about its not about him. That it about helping others. Well that fired me up. This the most favorite video I have ever posted. As a custodian we are helping others. I have done this for 16 years and still learn everyday on the job or via UA-cam. When people ask me how to do something you have a video on I 100% share it to them. Mr. Jeff is the GOAT!!!
Well I feel the same way that we are always learning. The day we think, we know it all. It time to go to the house and stay. lol the Goat far from it. But thanks for the compliment.
This just showed up and i am eager to watch more of your videos. Ive worked for a cleaning service for 20 years. Im 44. My boss is 60 and not in the greatest physical health. Hes had several knee surgeries, back, neck surgery. He also had throat cancer several years ago. We do Carpet cleaning, air duct cleaning, tile and grout cleaning, tile floor stripping and waxing, flood an.fire damage. We've got jobs scheduled for residential or commercial every week. Him and his wife have 4 kids but none of them are interested in his business. The 2 sons have helped but it was nothing they wanted to do. My boss has been hinting around he will eventually put me in charge when he can't do it anymore . My stepdad also told me yesterday that my boss told him the same thing. I guess ill eventually either be owner or co owner.
I have been thinking about buying some equipment and doing some jobs on the side. I love doing floors. Hopefully you will be boss.
We stripped and waxed our high school commons this year. Took us nearly 2 weeks. When you got the right equipment and good people the job is a cake walk.Been working for our school as a janitor for over 10 years and I still love what I do. Thanks for sharing Jeff?

I have a question, the custodians in the summer have got wax all over the mop boards and all on the toilets, there's also chunks of it built up everywhere. How can I try to get this wax build up off the toilets/mop boards, etc?

Hey Jeff question since ur a janitor ik some custodians are responsible for like lawn maintenance like mowing and all that do ur school have u do it or do they hire a company
Years ago we did it. Now it’s contracted out.

@ousamaabdu794 never had to cut grass. Did lots of pressure washing over the years.
