Thank you, that's so helpful. 😁👌♥️
Ok I did!❤️🙂
Thank you for the very helpful book.
Thank you. I so look forward to learning more about caring for plants 😊!
Mr. Sheffield let's get this one cleared up: there is no more sun available, the plants can ask all they want but they won't get more. They gotta learn to live with what they have and that's the end of the story.
😂😂😂 u told those plants!!!
Confusion… but they want the sun ☀️
😂😂😂
This is the big thing nobody (plant selling places, other youtubers) likes to admit.
Most homes (since most people live in apartments and not their own house with windows in all directions) don't have the right conditions to keep a lot of plants.
And then people are disappointed when their plants start to look, well, disappointing and wonder if they did something wrong.
No, it's just that most plants are made to thrive on the outside with sunshine all day; and this is what a house or apartment (except for maybe a big south-facing window) cannot offer.
I read comments saying they cannot change the light conditions in their place. Nor can I .. and I’m not ready to purchase grow lights, it’s difficult enough to sneak in with newly purchased plants and ‘hide’ them amongst the existing ones 😂 but then this is why Richard says in other videos: before we purchase, think about the light it requires and the space it will occupy. Love you all, beautiful fellow plant parents! 🪴 💜
For sure
I'm amused with all the plant names and remembering them 😂
😁
A leaning plonker!! 🤣 Thanks for another great video 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
I love that plant accessory I need that for my new small anthurium magnificum.
Hello Mr. Sheffield I really enjoy your videos. I've been growing plants a long time and thought I was an expert but you have proven me wrong wrong! I learn something new each time and love your sense of humor ! Keep up the good work ,will be watching.
Cool, thanks
Omg your naming references have me laughing out loud!
I love your videos, I learn so much too and chuckle quite a bit! 😅
Awesome! Thank you!
The 🗑️ bin is feeling left out 😂 My Adonsonaii through a hissy fit this winter 🤦♀️ She was not happy with the light she was getting, I had to move her for the winter 🤷♀️🇨🇦
Same here!
So many plants like a summer and sunny spot…many plants growing produce new leaves and flowers at my home…happy to see your videos, thanks x
Thanks for watching 😁
If you give plants with verigated leaves or stripes and other patterns too much direct sun it will bleach out those glorious patterns. So it would be best to not put them in a south facing window or have somwthing, inside or outside, to provide some dappled shade to help preserve the unique verigation on your plants..... It happened to my rubber plant (Clive). We had him right next to our south facing living room window. Amd the nice redish edges of the leaves bleached to a more creamy colour far quicker than it does now that we've moved Clive to the back of the living room his red colour lasts far long as the leaves mature 🙂
Ive only got about 30 plants in my house and am out of room, I don't name them but maybe i should
Makes it interesting
It’s fascinating to see how light (or lack thereof) affects plant growth. I have limited window space in an east facing house, so grow lights are a must.
I absolutely love all your videos, you helped me a lot and made me love gardening even more, keep up the awesome work 🤩
Thank you 😊
Hi ,Rich, funny, funny, funny. Following every thing you say. So much more. Hope the new parents are paying attention. So much info. Love your plant kids. Love their names. Love ya.🐱
Thanks for this great information
My pleasure
Good morning thank you for Sharing your houseplants lovely collections beautiful video
Thanks for the great information. My snake plant arrived and it's in bad shape. It may be tall but it can't hold itself up, it's very leggy and has floppy leaves. I have watched enough of your video's that I have a huge starting to where I begin. Hopefully I can do it justice. Thanks again Mr. Sheffield. Peace.
You’ve got this ✊
My monstera by a window is facing 100% toward the center of the living room except for one (1) leaf thats twisted around in the opposite direction toward the opening between the curtains.
One of many reasons I turn into your videos is that I learn a lot in a short period. No 40 minute videos. But I had to listen to this one twice! So much good info packed into a short time! Thaks. My brasil grows so fast that each stem has 2 leaves still hardening off while the newest leaf comes in. But, you guessed it, the leaves come in continually smaller. I wondered if I needed to trellis it, but yours is trellised. I have it in a southeast window, my best plant window. I had a grow light on that shelf all winter. Hard to believe it's not getting enough light and that it could grow that fast .
Cool thank you 👍
'Twist and shout''😂😂😂😂
Thanks, great video 😆😆
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you for the fun video. I am currently looking for a few low light plants. I am going to ask around at the nursery. I remember you did a video on them. There was one where you put them in the basement. Wasn’t there an another one too? It is my birthday coming up and I am going to treat myself to a new plant! 🪴 😊

Hello, just wondering if you have any tips for Lithops? When to repot? Love your channel, I've learned to much about plants !!! Keep up the amazing work !
Sorry never had them
😂😂 Love this video! The content and your humor just make my day. ❤
Thank you 😊
Hi, Mr. Sheffield! It is amazing, but I've got exactly this kind of Philodendron plant in rxactly the same situation! It is literally trying to leaan over and leave its pot to get to the window, which is behind it next to my fireplace.
😁
As a plant mom myself, I find it disturbing that the “throwing away plants clip” is always my favorite part😂 I need to do better!
😂
Love your insights ❤
Simple question, who much a month does it cost for all your plant lights ?
I have lots, so interesting comparison for me 😁
Really not sure. Not done the workings
Ooohhh! Is that the dark cherry coleus? Just ordered some seeds for that variety!
Looks a good match 👍
Another great vid! My Birkin is struggling, I think it’s not getting enough light. I see a little one above your sink in the window, looks like a very sunny spot. Which way is that window facing? Cheers.
East but it's not the happiest. It's a weird plant
I have only one Calathea, which flowered🤷🏻♀️
Thankyou! I live the palm leaved shaped trellis you have! Where did you get it!!!
The link is in the description
I will say though, I put a bunch of my plants under grow lights quite suddenly and about half of them died 😕
i got a few Sansi grow lights back in January because some of my plants weren’t getting enough light… an let me say, they definitely saved my succulents, and made my other plants (hoyas, philodendron, etc) SUPER happy, pushing out SO much new, beautiful growth.
if you need grow lights i couldn’t recommend Sansi more!!! i’m a very skeptical person, so i wasn’t 100% how they would work for me, but i am SOOO glad that i got them! i’ve even ordered more since then 😅😌
(plus, they’re usually on sale!)
thank you Mr. Sheffield for the recommendation!!! 🫶🏻
oh, and the amazing content AS ALWAYS :D 🌱🧡
Great stuff 👍
I'm order a olive tree and when it came it was actually a twig it has 2small leaves its about 8" high paid to much but I missed the window to send it back.if I saw this in a garden center I would of walked by it. Do you have any magic you are the best because very thing you talk about always works🙏
Follow his link for Sansi and get it under a grow light quickly.
Yeah olive trees need tons of light. Grow lights will help
definitely go for Sansi lights!!! they’ve helped my plants SO much, and saved my succulents over the winter! :D they’re usually on sale too!
Hello sir ,
I have scondapsus picnus it was fine but lately most of the leaves curl. At first I thought it needs more water but then curls get more😮😮😮😮…
My peace lily flowers non stop sorta too much because the flower dust is always all over. I don’t understand the constant flowering 🤔
Had her for 3 years
It's all the love you give it
I never was notified of this video and believe me I wait for them.
I have 2 questions i hope you can help me with
Do you know why some of my pink illusion arrow head leaves won't unravel?
Also my philodrenon brasil is not both dark and light green. It has the dark green and pink leaves. The cuttings I'm rooting are both the dark and light green leaves.it's the weirdest thing!!!
Leaves not unfurling is usually a humidity problem
Could be humidity or it could be slow because of low light. Variegation loss is usually light too. Where do they live?
@@SheffieldMadePlants Its on a table right in front of a window. The morning sun shines on it for a little while
@@Alwaysherethere not sure then honestly
WHERE IS THE TRASH BIN :((((
😅
💚💚
Hiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!! 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Can someone please tell me where I can find a Dragon Tail Pothos? They climb very fast and I'd really love to grow one!
I found rooted cuttings on eBay, ordered them 3 months ago.
@@_evangelina__ how are they doing?
@@XxShellyW13xX they are healthy and shiny. All cuttings have started to grow and brought new leaves.
I’ve just bought a alocasia one with the scolloped leaves . Got her above my bed on a shelf I pull my blinds up every morning. But she’s got 4 yellow leaves already after a week ! . I check her water with my moisture meter an give her the humidifier to herself about 2 -3 times
a week . Any suggestions? Thank u
Hard to say really. Could be lots of things
Can I ask how long you’ve had your Sansi grow lights? I have 2 sets now & that’s all the light my plants get. They are thriving, so I can recommend them to others. But, the other day my grower told me grow lights are only good for about 6 months. Im not convinced of that, nor am I convinced they’ll last 24,000 hours as advertised. For me that would be 8 years and I’m skeptical.
I've had mine a couple of years. Seem to work fine still
@@SheffieldMadePlants Good to know. Thanks 😊
I find with some of my plants that get too much light the leaves get progressively smaller. Do you find this too? I agree with the opposite too, but depends on the plant no?
Not noticed that
My Brasil sits in my south facing window with loads of sun and is putting out tiny leaves.
Boldilocks...😂😅
😁
What is the cost of the delivery to Germany? Or is it too expensive? Kind regards from Hamburg - Gaby
Not sure
I had to cut up my monstera. 😢 it wasn't happy and repotting would not have helped. How much water should they sit in? Should it go above the node?
Yep the node should be in water
I have a video on my channel where I chopped up my Philodendron White Knight because he had reverted. I even tried giving him his own grown light, and never got more than a light spot UNDER a leaf! Will you check it out and tell me what you think, please!? 🙏🏼 the pieces are in my prop box and have started popping out little leaves already! Lol
Couldn't find it. Is it a short?
@@SheffieldMadePlants it is a short, yes! It’s only a little over a minute long but I thought I’d made it both ways.

Mr. Sheffield, hello again with an important question. The snake plant is mostly 6ft with some 8 and 9er's but it's very thin at the bottom and needs stakes. We know why this happened but I need to transplant and get it out of the outside garden earth. My question is what size of pots? I want to divide, put the floppy leaves is glass jars with gravel and propograte(?) some BUT the pot size for the new earth is perplexing. I bought these two big beautiful pots but I'm afraid these will get two wet for to long when watering from the bottom. Should I go with smaller pots the correct size but then they will fall over they are so tall. Or go with the big pots and top water in this special case? HELP. Thanks for the support from across the waters. You have a great day. Peace.
I’d probably go for a smaller pot size
@@SheffieldMadePlants I thought so. I think maybe I can make outside the pot 3 sided stake structure to help support the plant OR let it lean on the wall ? I think stakes, right. Thanks for getting back so quick and for your knowledge, it is greatly appreciated. Peace.

Just been gifted a Mimosa Pudica you need to add this to your collection do you have much experience with these?
Very interesting plants.
