Both my grandfathers served in ww2 one was a sniper who then turned to a desert rat discharged for a bayonet wound to the leg sep 1944 & my other was a morse code operator on look for enemy planes over the Brecon Beacons 🏴 great men with outstanding courage not many like them on the assembly lines today 😂👌 another top video dean & people seeing this please take time & appreciate/remember those great MEN WOMEN & people who saved this country R.I.P 👊🏻
Bloody great brick that! Nicely done Deano 👌
Good to still see old school lives on . Flat cap on . Cup of Rosie in the hand . And a proper English morning . Cushty Deano 🇬🇧🤙
Nice work Dean great feature and story behind it gonna be a smashing place when finished 👍👍
Sweet!! I’ll Watch this later when when Im home from work…👍🙏
Nice work i agree will need to be proud of our great history in this country and lets stand up to all the pathetic wokes who are trying to drag us in to the gutter..
When we were little we had to go to private swimming lessons after school, all of us including my cousins. I hated it. It wasn't until my grandfather's funeral in 1998 that we learned that he had paid for all of us to learn how to swim to a better standard than others. This was because during WW2 his battleship was torpedoed and he spent time in the freezing North Atlantic clinging to a piece of wood or whatever it was, holding on for dear life... because he couldn't swim. My grandfather, Anthony Curwen, spent five years at sea in the Royal Navy fighting the U-Boats and his enlistment photo still sits on my parents' mantlepiece. Other than that, that's tidy work.
Powerful that mate ..what a great man
Brickwork looks on point mate! 👌 well done buddy

I liked the idea with the stained glass
I love this country to Deano, but cant forget what was done to the irish over the years. Ive uncles who served in the army for england. Lovely celtic cross and good work. I cant wear apoppy unless it was green!! Good health and get that mask on when cutting bricks.
Absolutely stunning

Top man
I would have put some sharp in the mix to show up in the mortor, but thats just my preferance. Great work #TTB. Pink/Red multi stock are my favorite looking brick, great choice.
Nice work dean 👍
Nice feature with the celtic cross👍
Great to watch a true craftsman at work.Especially with all this Human Drama going on.
The old boy's didn't have angle grinders or still saws, I Wonder how man bricks they went through doing all those cuts, keep up the good work I am enjoying watching these vids.
Smashing brickwork it’s all coming along nicely. In terms of the progress you are making how far are you now ? I love all these little traditional features though they make the build look a lot more authentic. My uncle when he met my auntie built his house in co Tipperary out of natural stone mostly by himself and added in little artistic features like stone carvings of squirrels, foxes etc and i think one has “bishopswood” on it!
Quality that mate 👌
23:47 always me when I cut bricks with angle grinder and it goes wrong 🤣 embarrassing thing as well is I live next to an elderly couple so god knows what they think of me
Very nice but man. Good brickie.
Brickwork requires a great head, and you surely have one! :)
Отличная работа!Привет из MASTER STROITEL 163 СССР
ever thought of using a sliding bevel for your marking of cuts?
I have never seen such user friendly mortar!! what are you using?? Unless I have missed it, I wonder how you make your mortar. Seems perfect every time. I like the color as well. Not in your face grey
👊❤️🏴
False joint on closures too? Make whole arch look symetricle deano..
Got to respect our forefathers..and all they achieved !!
So it's like a feature the stack bond?
, kinda surprised you went with stretcher bond on a feature wall. Looks great don't get me wrong just curious of your bond choice.
Is the build for your self mate?
Deano I’m sitting in Dubai round the pool watching your videos mate, that’s how interesting I find them. Proper craftsmanship. What is the mix for the cement mate? Works great with them stocks. Keep the videos coming. 👍🏻
Happy days mate hope weather is good
3,1,1 sand ,sharp ,cement
I always get sand fresh from aggregate yard so it’s always lose ,,Dnt do tonne bags mate too concentrated
@@thetraditionalbricklayer9650 top man thanks mate. 👍🏻
I believe with white cement he said but could be wrong
Lovely work. Not sure about the colour of muck
In my opinion and with my experience. Only a fool will use a consaw without a mask and water .
That’s me 🤦♂️
Grow up...
@@martin2466 100% wish I wore a mask when I was younger
it had to be for me. I would break the piece off again and make sure my layers are level with the top. otherwise nice work.
I miss the red scarf 🧣
The arch looks lost now
Definitely stained glass
Don't you get seasick on that scaffold?
Could have had stained glass
Be proud of are history and don't let the twats white wash over it 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
It's running out like fuk too.
My grandfathers tiwn put him self over a bomb that fell in Middleton Manchester ww2 and saved 100s of lifes remember these men lost there lifes saving ours from what was to come. IAN WHITEHEAD i thank you 11.11
Your loosing a bit of Terry kid ! Great work
Looks like the ex goalie dean neil
Are you building a church
Window would have looked better
Bathroom behind mate
From one Deano to another, my opinion mate differs from yours. I fully appreciate that it is simply a feature and non structural, however, I’m a believer in true representation and if this was structural the arch would fail with this bond at the apex opposed to a keystone or axed voussoirs. Really don’t want to sound pedantic, but my opinion only Dean pal.
