Turn out times are different throughout the world and if this works for NYC and FDNY without any adverse effects well then so be it. It used to be that FFs dressed on way to the call but for Safety and wellbeing of crews some dress before leaving no point in charging about like maniacs risking injury when walking to the rig boarding safely ensures that all the crew are on board with no mishaps All FF's are heroes and do a great job. @@bobbarr6057 No one in EMS does that, either. The vast majority of calls aren't emergent. Show me an EMT/medic that jumps out of the recliner to run priority 1 to leg pain. Unless it comes out as a code/questionable life status or severe respiratory distress, no one is in a rush.
A lady was passed out in this call, they could’ve of gone a little faster but I mean they did fine, so y’all don’t need to be so like “I am way faster than them” or whatever cause it don’t matter unless someone is dying
They're not in a hurry because they know they'll be waiting on a bus (ambulance) for some time or the lady will sign off. Nine times out of ten. Besides, this is Chinatown. It's only a few blocks to their box.
Our KME Excel custom is 16 years old and doing well still. Never had any issues. Which is not the case for our Ferrara that is 5 years newer. Is KME a smaller company than Seagrave?

FDNY going KME & Chicago going E-ONE. Never thought I'd see it.
Not anymore KME is done in NYC. Contract canceled.
@@tomh3652 are they going back to Seagrave now?
FDNY never seems to be in a big hurry when it comes to turnout times.
here in sweden they have to be out of the doors or atleast in the trucks in something like 90 seconds
It’s not like they’re going anywhere fast once they get on the road anyways
In Slovenia firebrigade must be out in 1 minute
BS EMS run? You are disgusting. Somebody could be dying, but to you it's just BS. Why are you on the job?

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't box 0259 a 7 alarm fire about 4-5 years ago? A rather nasty fire if I am not mistaken.

Your comment is very disrespectful to the FDNY
