The Black Crowes were one of the greatest live bands of the last 30 years. But they were a band, not two brothers looking for a money grab! No Steve no Marc and sadly no Ed. Makes me sad!
I remember when the Robinson's were"Mrs Robinson's neighborhood and went to their house several times when it was just a"garage band", I loved their Mom, she was so nice to me

Saw the crowes at least 20 times and the crb seven(i liked them as much as the crowes).it reeks of a cash grab. if neil didn't die and adam was still in the band .this wouldnt be happening. Definitely playing to the lowest common denominator by doing only Shake Your Money Maker..sorry to say it..also.. they both have enough talent to continue on their own, don't need a diluted version of the band without any original members.. and to the chemist that we met at the crb shows, keep making that L brother. We'll see you at the next good show.

I’m 45, saw the original SYMM tour. I’m a huge fan of this band and have wished for a reunion for years. Athough it is cool the brothers have buried the hatchet, it’s disappointing they aren’t bringing any of the original guys back for this. Especially Steve Gorman. Just doesn’t feel the same. Wish them luck! God speed boys.
I'm guessing the recent death of Neal Casal has something to do with this. I think the realization that life is precious can help bring people back together. Glad the Brothers have worked it out!

Just now finishing it, and you are right. I get the impression that he is a straight shooter, although granted, it is all told from one person's perspective. He is quick to list his own shortcomings and faults. I really have not been able to put the book down since I picked it up.

So Chris & Rich found out that grudges are eventually too hard to handle. Staying mad at each other is twice as hard as being brothers. After all, what's the point of being jealous again. In the end, sometimes salvation is the answer.

Hell yeah!!!! Y'all guys are The best my brothers..we took time out from the sawmills for three days in 2010 to go to Churchill Downs in Louisville KY to see y'all guys...there was 65 bands there that year I believe but there was two particular band's that we was wanting to see that was y'all and 38 special .. every chance we get after a hard week of work we sat around the bonfire and play good music some of our favorite tone's are y'all's..we really party up here on what we call The real cold mountain! ... from Perry county KY coal mine and moonshine country...if you guys are in KY, look us up! Y'all be drinking some of the best moonshine in the country... love y'all brothers......

I remember seeing the Crowes at all the clubs in Tdot. Gasworks, Lee's Palace, Sneaky Dee's, the Rivoli and so on. I even went to their first cd release party. I watched them go from the sticky floor clubs to the stadium. When I saw them open for Metallica and Aerosmith at the Ex, I was honestly filled with happiness for those guys.
Taking responsibility for one's self, setting pride aside and love can move mountains. ⭐💖⭐

I saw them back in '97 at the Garden state art center with Jimmy Page! Amazing! They dis maybe 3 Crowes songs and the rest was Zeppelin. It was AMAZING!!!

The money's talking. I'd lay down a month's wages on separate tour buses, minimal eye contact, and barely a word between them for this....whatever it is. It'll be interesting to see how long it will take for them to want to kill each other again. It's probably already happened, who am I kidding?
I love that you bring up therapy. Too many people that have the resources fail to get help. How fortunate they are to have the ability too. That in in itself is everything.

Only these are not the real BC without Steve Gorman and Marc Ford. They made the difference in the sound, as well as of course, Chris's voice.

WiserInTime I couldn’t agree more. Southern Harmony, Amorica, and Three Snakes and One Charm are some of the best rock albums ever made...and a lot owed to Ford for that. I will say though in their defense of this line up,, Isaiah Mitchell from Earthless is one incredible guitarist and is a good fit for this band. If you want to know more about Isaiah Mitchell, check out Earthless. Pretty incredible stuff.

They got Isaiah from Earthless which makes sense since they are going to do Shake YMM and that record has more of a rock sound. I think Marcus King would be a great hired gun if the Crowes do their later stuff.
