Thanks for sharing, that's so helpful. Your themes are always put together so well, it definitely seems worth putting the time in to plan! Quick question, when do you start this process in the month? (the research, the sketching and then filming)
Thank you! I start this at the very beginning of the he month, for example, for September, I need to plan the theme or at least have a brief idea in the next two weeks. It seems very early, but I always look back at the past month, July in this case, and ai see all the stuff that I want to keep or change for September
Makes sense. It must really help starting earlier, and having more time to think it all through. I’m finding that I’m having to do my planning/drafting a lot earlier too, especially when sharing with the wider bullet journal community on UA-cam and Instagram. This was so helpful. THANK YOU! On average, how long would you say each stage takes you to complete: the planning, recording, editing and editing the instagram photos. Do you do all of this in 1 day, full day of work, or do you split it up throughout the week?
Normally I like to do all of this is a time frame of a week or two, I like to take the colours, brainstorm them in my hand, then sketch them on paper the next day and really feel that they work for me, then the next day I can try to make the spreads or to brainstorm the actual theme, then on another day I sketch the pages in my bujo, then I take a full day to film the setup and take the pictures + export the footage, and normally 2-3 days to full edit everything + voice over + export. The photo editing I try to do it in an afternoon if possible once the video is done! It's a very long and stressful process, and that is why I start planning on the first week of the month 🤪
Do you use this method of planning everytime or when you run out of ideas?
Currently this is my method to plan my themes, yes! It can be harder or easier depending on the ideas I have 🤗
