Sugar coating the fact doesn’t make you telling the truth. I was once a Catholic, pero mabuti nalang at nakaalis ako sa faith na may rebulto. We respect as human beings but not to the extent na pati ang pamamaraan ng pagsamba sa Dyos ay kailangan ding yakapin. Jesus is the way the truth and the life. Nothing and nobody is deserving to be equal of Him kahit sa representation lang.

I'm just wondering. So we only follow what God wants us to do, right? Now God said in Matthew 6:6 "But when you pray (or worship Him), go into your room, close the door and PRAY TO YOUR FATHER, WHO IS UNSEEN. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." So that means we should do that since that's what He said, right? Now did God command us to create a statue and a picture of Him to worship God through that icon? If He does, where can I read that in the Bible?
that matthew 6:6 means it depends if what is in ur heart while praying to the public. are u really praying through ur heart? or u are doing it so that people will praise u that u're a good person in short you're a hypocrite.. even if you're in the public especially more people that is praying together as Jesus said in the bible "Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Matthew 18:19-20. which means if people are praying together God is with them. there are strength in numbers while praying. that is why there are church so that we will unite with each other to pray and give thanks to the Lord. and that is one of the 10 commandments of God to go to church, to make the sabbath day holy. and about the creating of statue.. During a plague of serpents sent to punish the Israelites during the exodus, God told Moses to “make [a statue of] a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and every one who is bitten, when he sees it shall live. So Moses made a bronze serpent, and set it on a pole; and if a serpent bit any man, he would look at the bronze serpent and live” (Num. 21:8-9). One had to look at the bronze statue of the serpent to be healed, which shows that statues could be used ritually, not merely as religious decorations. Catholics use statues, paintings, and other artistic devices to recall the person or thing depicted. Just as it helps to remember one’s mother by looking at her photograph, so it helps to recall the example of the saints by looking at pictures of them. Catholics also use statues as teaching tools. In the early Church they were especially useful for the instruction of the illiterate. Many Protestants have pictures of Jesus and other Bible pictures in Sunday school for teaching children. Catholics also use statues to commemorate certain people and events, much as Protestant churches have three-dimensional nativity scenes at Christmas. If one measured Protestants by the same rule, then by using these “graven” images, they would be practicing the “idolatry” of which they accuse Catholics. But there’s no idolatry going on in these situations. God forbids the worship of images as gods, but he doesn’t ban the making of images. It is when people begin to adore a statue as a god that the Lord becomes angry. Thus, when people did start to worship the bronze serpent as a snake-god (whom they named “Nehushtan”), the righteous king Hezekiah had it destroyed (2 Kgs. 18:4).
Early in its history, Israel was forbidden to make any depictions of God because he had not revealed himself in a visible form. Given the pagan culture surrounding them, the Israelites might have been tempted to worship God in the form of an animal or some natural object (e.g., a bull or the sun). But later God did reveal himself under visible forms, such as in Daniel 7:9: “As I looked, thrones were placed and one that was Ancient of Days took his seat; his raiment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames, its wheels were burning fire.” Protestants make depictions of the Father under this form when they do illustrations of Old Testament prophecies. The Holy Spirit revealed himself under at least two visible forms-that of a dove, at the baptism of Jesus (Matt. 3:16; Mark 1:10; Luke 3:22; John 1:32), and as tongues of fire, on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4). Protestants use these images when drawing or painting these biblical episodes and when they wear Holy Spirit lapel pins or place dove emblems on their cars. But more important, in the incarnation of Christ his Son, God showed mankind an icon of himself. Paul said, “He is the image (Greek: ikon) of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.” Christ is the tangible, divine “icon” of the unseen, infinite God. We read that when the magi were “going into the house they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshipped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered him gifts, gold, frankincense, and myrrh” (Matt. 2:11). Though God did not reveal a form for himself on Mount Horeb, he did reveal one in the house in Bethlehem. Common sense tells us that, since God has revealed himself in various images, most especially in the incarnate Jesus Christ, it’s not wrong for us to use images of these forms to deepen our knowledge and love of God. That’s why God revealed himself in these visible forms, and that’s why statues and pictures are made of them. Idolatry Condemned by the Church Since the days of the apostles, the Catholic Church has consistently condemned the sin of idolatry. The Catechism of the Council of Trent (1566) taught that idolatry is committed “by worshipping idols and images as God, or believing that they possess any divinity or virtue entitling them to our worship, by praying to, or reposing confidence in them” (374). What anti-Catholics fail to recognize is the distinction between thinking a piece of stone or plaster is a god and desiring to visually remember Christ and the saints in heaven by making statues in their honor. The making and use of religious statues is a thoroughly biblical practice. Anyone who says otherwise doesn’t know his Bible.
@@kentmathewgargantiel4312 In this part, read again my comment what I was trying to say so that you’ll understand better. So I understand that God said when you pray do not be like the hypocrites for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners. Tons of people’s prayers motive in public isn’t really speaking to God, that their motive is to be heard by many. That’s why Jesus teaches us that it is better to pray to your Father in secret and be rewarded by Him than it is to pray in a way to be seen by many and be thought holy by them. Numbers 21:8-9 The LORD said to Moses, "Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live." So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, he lived. An idol is something that comes between you and God, and that you depend upon. When God puts something in front of you and tells you to look at it, that is in no way fitting the definition of an idol. An idol takes you away from God. The serpent on a pole brought healing from God because they obeyed. The second part to God’s plan was that God intended that the serpent become a type of Jesus. John 3:14-15 - And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. The problem with the Hebrews is that they turned the serpent into an idol. It was supposed to have a one time purpose and yet they kept the serpent on display and venerated it. Now it’s an idol. So what does God do? When Hezekiah came to the throne, his heart was to follow fully after God. In so doing, he destroyed what had become an idol. 2 Kings 18:4 - He removed the high places and broke the sacred pillars, cut down the wooden image and broke in pieces the bronze serpent that Moses had made; for until those days the children of Israel burned incense to it, and called it Nehushtan. What happened here was that what started out right, men took and made it into something it was never intended to be. That still happens today and causes great confusion in the minds of honest observers of the church. God starts a movement and the next generation turns it into monument. The movement dies but the monument preserves the anointed beginnings in an empty shell. If you find you are always looking back at the good old days, there is a fair chance you are worshipping an idol and not the living revelation of God. Remember an idol gets between you and God. The brass serpent was created to bring healing and be a picture of Jesus. When we look steadfastly at Jesus we can be healed today by acknowledging what God has done through him and we are not be healed through the form of an icon. So go back to what you stand for, so if Jesus is the bronze and serpent that why you created an image or statue of Him then why you created other serpent (statue) of other people beside Jesus the what you so called Mama Mary and other Saints? For what, to look at it also and be healed? Or so that God can hear their prayers because they are the mediator between God and men? In John 14:6 Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. The Bible also says For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus… (1 Timothy 2:5). God’s Word tells us that Jesus Christ is the help we need - He is our “mediator” or go between with God. But we are never told in God’s Word that any other person, including Mary, or any of the saints, can serve as a mediator between us and God. (The prohibition against making graven images was distinctly set in the context of worshiping idols. There are, then, several reasons why making the cherubim does not conflict with this command not to bow down to graven images. First, there was no chance that the people of Israel would fall down before the cherubim in the most holy place, since they were forbidden to go in the holy place at any time. Even the high priest went only once a year on the Day of Atonement (Lev. 16). Further, the prohibition is not against making any carved image for decorative purposes, but of those used in religious worship. In other words, they were not to worship any other God or any image of any god. These cherubim were not given to Israel as images of God; they were angels. Nor were they given to be worshiped. Hence, there is no way in which the command to make them violated the commandment in Exodus 20. Finally, the prohibition in Exodus 20 is not against religious art as such, which includes things in heaven (angels) and on earth (humans or animals). Rather, it was against using any image as an idol. That idolatry envisioned is evident from the fact they were instructed not to “bow down to them nor serve them” (Ex. 20:5). The distinction between non-religious use of images and a religious use is important) God always talks today just as he did before. It was God before, but God is no longer in the serpent (the type of statue or bronze) because the real has come.

Sad for these people
be sad for yourself... you think that you're holier than any of them... 🤣

Idolatry Condemned by the Church
Since the days of the apostles, the Catholic Church has consistently condemned the sin of idolatry.

20:5). The distinction between non-religious use of images and a religious use is important)
God always talks today just as he did before. It was God before, but God is no longer in the serpent (the type of statue or bronze) because the real has come.

"My people are being destroyed because they don't know me. I refuse to recognize you as my priest. Since you have forgotten the laws of your God, I will forget to bless your children."- Hosea 4:6. ," Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man's devising" - Acts 17:29..

Sila adunay baba, apan sila dili makasulti; Sila adunay mga mata, apan sila dili makakita;
Adunay mga igdulungog sila, apan sila dili makadungog; Sila adunay mga ilong, apan sila dili makapanimaho;
