I own the LTV-3500 with a 120inch ALR screen and my God, its an incredible set up. Excellent input lag for gaming (around 30ms), incredibly natural colours, sharp and bright......plus 3D support. I love 3D and they purposely over bright the image when in 3D mode so that the image does not look darker due to the tinted 3D glasses. The picture looks perfect and not darker at all. I can't recommend this beast of a projector enough.....and this it's AWOL Visions FIRST generation UST projector. I can't even imagine what their next generation of projectors will do.
@@ahsoka6807 If you are using the projector in the evening with a completely dark room (as I generally always do) then the picture and colours are fantastic. Better than a traditional TV. The black levels are great. Not OLED level of blacks, but after coming from an OLED (that suffered burn in), I no longer want or need the ink black levels that come with OLED. Its just too dark and the details get crushed with OLED TVs. If you use the projector during the day with with the curtains drawn and minimal window light coming into the room, then yes the colours and black levels are slightly washed out, but its perfectly enjoyable still. In fact it's not that noticeable if the content you are watching is bright and colourful. With ambient light coming into the room, it's mainly the darker content that suffers a bit because the ALR screen can only get so dark during the day. Having said all that, overall I couldn't be happier with the LTV-3500. The picture quality and screen size (mine is a 120inch) is simply mind blowing for movies and gaming. A serious film/gaming enthusiest wants the cinematic experience, which means a completely dark room (evening viewing) and during this time, the experience is simply incredible. the projector is crazy bright and vibrant (even during the day really), but in a completely dark room, that's where you get the very best experience. Watching 3D movies on this beast is jaw dropping. Having this size, quality and experience in my living room shouldn't even be possible.......but with the LTV-3500 it is. It's like having an IMAX screen in your home. I'll never go back to traditional TV's after this. You'd have to pay around 100k for a TV of this size and quality. I paid around $6,400 for my LTV-3500 and 120inch ALR screen. That's a bargain and right now AWOL is offering a free screen (100inch, 120inch or floor rising your choice) with the LTV-3500 for $5500. Deal ends November 28th. Just go to their website.
@@jessicavakauta6311 Yes I'm sure it can. The colours and overall image will not be as good as with an ALR screen, but it will still work. Maybe paint your wall a darker colour for better results.

Great Review. Can we stop talking about Formovie and AWOL in the same sentence. The AWOL 3500 is a class above. Turn the lights on and the Formovie with its Colorwheel Fades dramatically. It’s less expensive because it has cheaper components and less lumens.
@@silentsnake1800 That Laser TV Showdown was a Joke. Let me give you the facts as it seems you've been fooled. Don't worry the Judges were fooled as well. The company that dreamed up the scheme (Laser TV Showdown) is Projector Screen, they got the sole distribution rights for Formovie in the States a few months before the Showdown. They needed to come up with a way to change the publics perception of the brand because it is basically a Fegmi T1. Then they teamed up with Projector Central to distant themselves from the results if Formovie won. This was supposed to be a Laser TV showdown but they decided not to include BRIGHTNESS as a key parameter. The reason behind this is because at 2800 Lumens the Formovie could not come close to the competition. How can they call this a Laser TV showdown without counting brightness? Don't turn the lights on or the Formovie will fade dramatically. There have been a number of complaints sent to BBB about the way this competition was set up as consumers were not made aware that the organizer had exclusive rights to the Formovie brand and the Showdown was designed for the Formovie strengths. Will be interesting to see how this pans out. In the meantime AWOL Vision is getting top place in every other review.
@@homemediapatrol3784 maybe you missunderstood what i mean. The Awol is of course a good one and has more brightness. But the Formovie has much more contrast than any other UST. Formovie is better price/Picture product imo and in many reviews (Sometimes as T1) the best UST at the moment. What is better for you is a personal Thing. @@silentsnake1800 you mentioned that Formovie won the Laser TV Showdown, I was just explaining the parameters of the competition. It should of been called Best UST for a Closet.
