Right foot going back on the whistle is like a false-step for an offensive lineman on a power block: if you don't have leverage on your first move you're not going have leverage at all. As far as left foot/drive foot goes, I always try to emphasize keeping your hips low (but not too low). Once your butt goes up and the legs straighten out it's game over. Also, as an old fart I'm really enjoying that SNG is back.
alex smith used to coach his stand up motogrip with an exaggerated left step up field with the clamp; because of this i am coaching my guys this left step, to prevent kicking back + get them around the column
That was when the ball was lined up close to the throat and players hands were crowded on the plastic. It took longer to secure the clamp. If you teach your players to step up field on the whistle with their left foot in today’s game, they’ll get beat forward by knowledgeable FO men that use the true plunger. Be careful.
Is there any other counters to use against someone with quick hands other than the rakes, cause u feel like after a while the rake is predictable once he knows his hands are faster
The crank back was a secondary move we created from a knee down after a lock up. With the new rules we have heard that some folks who’ve never actually taken FO’s sng are teaching it as a first move. It’s a theory without actual application. Sure, it might be effective against a sub par rake. But it turns you away from the ball and leaves you wide open to getting beat forward vs a quality True plunger. I don’t recommend this.
Just got a weapon x natural can’t wait to use it

Could you go over sng counters.
Love the new fire graphic in the beginning:)
Thanks! Little details 👌🏼
Thanks for the video I feel more comfortable and am more relaxed. 👏👌
I bend my left knee in a lot, I think it’s because it sort of burns to put it out (guess I’m not flexible)
Great vid it’s helping me a lot on stand up
Awesome! 👊🏼

I’ll make an updated counter video for you guys. Rakes are offensive moves, not counters.
How to go against someone who has a good quick rake. Using the burn i find i get raked a lot and have tried different ways to keep control.
Not sure if you have gone over anything with a long pole SNG faceoff but I would appreciate it
ua-cam.com/video/-oj4b6HHl3M/v-deo.html here you go my man
Great video Coach 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
would you recommend using the REPS while going sng?
Also Greg... Opinion on this "Crank Back" Clamp that's been going around recently??

@@GregBeast32 thank you! Didn’t want to waste time learning something that wasn’t applicable to being at that next level
What faceoff head do you recommend
Hey cousin Greg; this is your cousin Josh
My man!
lizard skins are allowed on faceoffs right?
Yes
