- Third time's a charm? Well all three times at Mo'orea were charming. A great thing about Mo’orea island is that you get both the luscious, mountainous green and the blue lagoon water. In just one hour, you can circle the island while soaking in the green, the blue, and lots of food!

Such a great video! The sights & food…Beautiful!
Thank you so much for watching!
Great video! Looking forward to our visit.
Oh man you guys are going to have an awesome time. I hope our videos were helpful at the very least!
We loved the food and view at the Moorea Beach Cafe!!! the owner actually picked us up at our hotel and brought us there...wow
The location is phenomenal! The people in Mo'orea are all so very friendly. Hope you had a great time.
We love Moorea also..been there twice now and plan on future trips..after French Polynesia, Hawaii is not the same now
We haven’t been to Hawai’i and would love to! We planned Maui for 2020 but was canceled due to pandemic. Never had the chance to rebook. Hopefully one day!
I can’t wait! Hoping to go next year! I really appreciate you showing us the food and teaching us some of the language! You guys must have spent a fortune!
It certainly wasn't a budget vacation! haha
We really hope you can visit Mo'orea. It's extremely beautiful and lots of good local food.
who is paying for all this?
Amazing visiting very soon.Cant wait.
You're gonna have an amazing time!
4:29 That's actually Rotui, where you're pointing. You can hike it, but it's a very technical, vertical & dangerous trail, if one isn't used to hiking razor thin ridges.
"Magic Mountain" is actually the smaller peak to the left of where you're pointing. (Opposite side of Opūnohu Bay)
Last year, during the island shutdown, you could go out for 1hr of exercise & I decided to chance it & see if the local tahitian family that owns the roads/area of Magic Mountain would let me hike it & they did 🙌🏾. I had it all to myself. Unheard of!
It was very generous of them & I think me being a local island girl (but from Hawaiʻi) had something to do with it 😅 #PolynesianConnections
OMG thank you so much for pointing that out and correcting me. I thought Mount Rotui was Magic Mountain all this time. We've been up on Magic Mountain using an ATV and we thought that was scary! Can't imagine what it'd be like to hike Rotui.
@4:33 is that a DJI drone? Any trouble arming and flying near Sofitel resort (near the airport?). Thanks so much for sharing your adventure. Looking forward to visiting Moorea this summer with my wife.
Hi! And yes it's a DJI mini. For the most part, I had no trouble flying on majority of the island. Unfortunately, I needed authorization and clearance for Sofitel area because it's near the airport and close to the flight path. Northeast side of the island near the airport and Sofitel is the only area where flight is restricted. If you go just a little further south of Sofitel towards Vai'are, then you can still get a nice shot of the lagoon, ocean, and Tahiti island in the backdrop.
You guys are gonna love Mo'orea!
@@heyTRVLwithME awesome, thanks for the heads up.
Amazing as always!
Thanks! Episode 3 is coming soon!
That's so beautiful !!!!
Thanks! More episodes coming soon!
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Can you post all the locations and excursions you guys did?
Hi! Food locations and excursion from this trip has been added to the description.
Since this was our third time at Mo'orea, we didn't book guided excursions this time around. Just in case you were wondering about all the excursions we did on all of our trips to Mo'orea, here's a quick list:
Jet Ski around the island | Mo'orea Activities Center
4x4 ATV around the island and up Magic Mountain | Mo'orea Activities Center
Sea Scooter | Mo'orea Water Games (located in Sofitel resort)
Sunset Kayak | Lagoon Explorer (not sure if they're still around)
Snorkeling at Lagoonarium | This place is no longer in business but Mo'orea Water Games may be willing to provide a private tour. Ask for Nicolas.
My first time to watch your video but I love it. My cruise will stop at Papetee port for 2 days in October. I'd love to take a ferry to Moore and stay there for 1 night so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I think that's a great idea! I have so many I'd like to share but I'll share my top 3.
1) Rent a car and visit Belvedere Lookout. Renting a car for a day costs about the same as a 2-way taxi ride.
2) Make a dinner reservation for Le Lezard Jaune if you're staying any night between Wed and Sunday.
3) We think snorkeling at Sofitel is the best but their beach is private. There's a public beach right next to it called Plage publique de Temae and it has a good view of Tahiti island.
Sofitel and Hilton are probably the most popular resorts to stay at. I honestly never been to Hilton but I hear great things about it. Hope this helps and have a wonderful time!
How long is the flight to Bora Bora from here? So glad I found your channel!!
Hi! There are usual flights out of Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. We flew out from LAX to Pape'ete, which is the main international airport of Tahiti (7-8 hours). Then another flight from Pape'ete to Bora Bora for about 1.5 hours. At the Bora Bora airport, you'll take a boat to your accommodation, whether that's the main island or the small islands, about 20 minutes.
@@heyTRVLwithME thank you! We are going for the first time in February 2024, so I’m binging all your videos
Oh man! You guys are gonna have an awesome time! No videos/vlogs come close to what you guys will experience. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to provide detailed (and I mean "detailed") response. There should be a couple of more Bora Bora episodes coming out in the next couple of months. Thank you so much for watching!
@@heyTRVLwithME thanks again! And I will definitely be requesting many details over the next year and a half! 😂
What days where you there? We were there August 14th through the 20th and it rained almost the whole time. 😢
Oh no! Sorry to hear that. We were there in end of June through early July. Hope you still had a good time. One more reason to return!
If I ate like this, I'd weight at least 300# (KG?).
Haha! Spending hours in water definitely helps us burn extra calories to eat more 🏊♂️🍔.
did you have issues using your drone in Moorea or Bora Bora? I'm seeing all kinds of confusing info that you cant use drones anywhere...DJI mini 2 is small enough to go undetected and I don't plan to go anywhere near people, airports or close to resorts...I'm hoping it's ok. Let me know asap. thanks
Hi! I respect that you're planning to fly away from people, airports, and resorts.
I planned ahead by identifying the airport location and flight path, then staying away from there. In Mo'orea, the area between Sofitel resort and the airport is a restricted zone. In Bora Bora, I just stayed completely away from north and east side of the island. It's a smaller island and the flight path is north and east. I flew in south and west area with no problem.
@@heyTRVLwithME Thanks, I'm staying in the south (Matira beach) in BB so I reckon no issues with the airport or flight paths there. In Moorea, I will ensure I stay away from Airport to Sofitel no-fly zone, thanks for that tip.
Matira beach is beautiful! If you watch my Ep 3 video ua-cam.com/video/WtzatnHEzVA/v-deo.html, this was at Matira beach area.
In Mo'orea, try flying at south side because you can get beautiful blue water color with Tahiti island in the background. Best time to fly is before noon because of the sun's light reflection on the water. Best of luck to you and have an amazing time!
@@heyTRVLwithME thanks for the tips and I'm sure I'll love it. I did watch your Matira video...nice.
So ironic that you are staying by the ocean and appreciating the fish, yet eating fish for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Let the fish live. They wanted to live their life and not end up on your plate.
I understand where you're coming from. But I believe people have the right to choose their diet lifestyle and I would not be the one to force people into other diets. I wouldn't go up to vegans (not saying that you are) and tell them they should eat meat. I'd love try your favorite dish if you wouldn't mind sharing! 😊
@@heyTRVLwithME I am not forcing anyone. I am giving a voice to the helpless animals and fish who didn't have a voice. They were killed for your meal and its something worth pointing out.
@@manytimes7746 That's very noble of you.
