Thank you! Oh man that experience sounds seasick inducing -- I had a similar experience swimming with whales in Tonga. BUT you're right in that it's an excuse to go back :)
Jenn was ready to jump in the water - regardless of the weather. But better heads prevailed and we turned around and went back to shore. She did some great snorkeling in Tonga, but alas, no whales. @@TheSaltSirens

when you said "affordable" for the overwater bungalow, what price are you talking about? I am seeing $2338 for two nights for 2 people.
Oh wow, that's very expensive! I paid around $~400 per night while Sofitel was double I believe. I've had a quick look and it seems like Manava has much higher rates than they did when I went. What time of year are you thinking?

Hi! We stayed at Manava Resort as well as 'Le Maison Orange' guesthouse in October.
Omg how funny, I stayed at the bungalow across from where you stayed when I visited. I miss it, would love to go back again

When did you make this trip? Are face masks still required? What are the best months for sunny weather?
I went in October and I don't believe masks are still required. The best months are outside of the rainy season, so avoid November to April in my opinion!

Hey! It was around $450 USD for the overwater bungalow per night.

It is very expensive for sure! The biggest way to save I think is on accommodation -- look for pensions rather than hotels.

Not anymore I believe!
it is 2023 and still face masks ? is still mandatory to wear them there ?
