As a kid, I remember Romper Room with Miss Molly. Even though I am a grown man now, I have great memories of this show. There were other versions of Romper Room, but I've always said that Miss Molly was the best host of Romper Room ever
Back when WOR-TV ( and later WWOR-TV ) was a cable superstation, we got to enjoy Molly McCloskey-Barber & "RR&F" in Southern California. This version was much better than the L.A. "RR" on KCOP 13. Molly was enjoyable...and a good singer, too!
This show was also aired on WFLD-TV (channel 32) in Chicago that same year and date as seen here. This was when “Romper Room” went national and it carried on many TV stations elsewhere until the early 1990’s.
Who would have thought that 3 years later this very studio at WOR in Secaucus NJ where little kids sat with Miss Molly would be used for the Morton Downey Jr Show
I was born on July 26th 1984 at 6:00 PM. M y Cousin was very close to being an Olympian swimmer. My Grandparents came up from LA for my birth and went back as my Cousin was visting.
Dang, Miss Molly looks like she would've tried out for the WNBA LOL! Anyways, I loved Romper Room back in the day when I lived in the Boogie Down! Brings back wonderful memories!
Is amazing how in this program for kids. They always made a point in doing the Pledge of Allegiance everyday. I grew up watching it. Is a shame how show for kids now are. All these great moral traditions thrown right out the window. I mean really is all utter BS
Hey is it true that they recorded over all the original episodes so they're not available anymore? I was also on romper room when I was younger and would like to find the episode my brother and I were on.
call letters (WOR) channel 9 of the N.J. t.v. station in Secacus. Look up the phone number, then when you speak to them ask for programming archives,or they might call it something else.
I grew up during this era. I can't believe the stupid looking bowl hair cuts most boys and girls had, including me, and the lame overalls being a fad. Haha! Not to mention Izod shirts that are back in style again. Barf!
maybe he was smarter than the other kids of the brainwashed idiot parents who sent their kids there and did't feel like saying a modified salute to a false god that was only added during the cold war. But maybe I'm just reading too much into this. You know how people can read to much into something. You seem to be an expert on it seeing as how you chose to single out a black kid for some reason.
The Snoopy Snow Cone Machine taught kids the value of hard labor, which in this case was equal to just enough snow cone to rehydrate what sweat you lost grinding the ice. I ended up drinking the Cool-aid from the snowman half of the time. But I did love my Snoopy Snow Cone Machine
Aw I think this was the Romper Room lady that was the host when I used to watch it before preschool and Kindergarten back in 1980-82 or so. I haven't seen this in years! Brings me back to elementary school for sure. lol
Miss Molly was great, she is the host I remember in the early 80's. I really liked Granny Cat and Up-Up, the clown puppet. I always wanted to see Granny out of her rocking chair, knowing the chair was part of her, LOL
This is the day I was born. Also, Taylor Schilling from OITNB. James Mason died on this day. Purple Rain was released in theaters, and Metallica's album Ride the Lightning was also released.
you're asking the wrong question, Mr York- what you should be asking is how it can be that so-called "white" countries happen to be diverse despite their whiteness. there is no imposition of diversity on these countries, and once you've understood that you should have the answer to your original question.
This was a great show for young children. I remember watching it sometimes, not every day.

When I started teaching I watched to get some ideas for my class. Although the children were older I modified the activities to suit their ages.
OMG, I remember I wanted one of those catch and throws. They used to use that on the show all the time.

I was on Romper Room in April of 1971, In Tacoma Washington I always wished i could find some old footage, video cameras weren't as available then.

Molly-McCloskey Barber was a beautiful host of Romper Room, but I also remember Mary Ann Petersen, one of the originally fantastic hosts, also.

Figures that the black kid didn't salute the flag. Already an aspiring Black Panther.
Maybe he was a Jehovah's Witness....

She has a Great singing voice but I hate that song
I really appreciate that you left the ads on. I love watching old ads to see how much things have changed since I was a kid.
This was one of my favorite shows as a youngster. They should have more shows like this for little ones.
TonyHickschick they should bring this show back
TonyHickschick kids today are too grown and mean. They'd look at Molly like she was a Martian. Probably cuss her out too.
This show was fun they need to bring back today
THIS show reminds me of my amazing childhood
the great commercials! Snoopy Snowcone machine, The Land of Makebelieve, chuck e cheese. This whole clip brings back so many memories

The right channel is overrated.
