Between the effort they've displayed in the story mode and the spectacular gameplay we have already witnessed, Bleach Rebirth of Souls will be one of the best games in 2025. What do YOU think of Story mode so far?
I hope we get the whole main story and all of the captains. The love and effort that has gone into this is exciting. This will surely be my new SoulCalibur.
You can do big characters pretty easily in single player because the camera is always focused the best view for your character. The problem starts happening in local multiplayer where the camera keeps moving around and changes focus between characters like we have seen in the gameplay. Maybe something like the size of Fishbone D could work, he isn't much bigger than Komamura or Hachi, but with anything much larger I think it'll be hard to give a good experience for both players. The camera would get blocked a lot or just so pulled out so much it makes it very hard to play properly for the smaller character.
@emeraldanimations2658 same here. I know a lot of people were expecting MORE but I was surprised we got so much dialogue tbh cause they really made me laugh with this scene. So it seems like there will be some banter before every scene AND we get ALOT of the original VAs doing a rework of the scenes. And since it’s not a 1:1, i wondering if they add anything 🤔 plus secret story should be a treat! 🙂↕️
@@SaintIrving i think they gonna add some original content (at least in secret story) cuz in the shinji special trailer, we see shinji sparring with kisuke which im pretty sure doesnt happen in the 101yrs mini arc
I don't mind at all! Tosen is a complicated character who watches his friend die & not get the justice she deserves, killed at the hands of a soul reaper, her husband no less. Tosen struggled with justice & revenge and I also loved his quote "If it's not enough to believe in justice, then I swear I will become justice." I think in the end, he saw the error in his ways but I always think he is beautifully written. Also, the way he mentions to Hisagi that all warriors should fear their own blade. While I don't agree on being terrified of your power, you should respect it and the power you hold is the foundation of what he is saying. Somewhat like "with great power, comes great responsibility'. He knew the weight of his sword as he cuts down his opponent and I think that makes him even more honorable & powerful.

I was more focused on his betrayal aspect which made me not like him that much but you are right he is definitely very complex and life wasn’t easy on him. Anyway I can’t wait to see u cook with tosen when bleach ros drops

Haha and touching on what you said, its funny because while he is a traitor to the soul society, I forget/ignore he is because he was never a traitor to his beliefs or ideals, he simply hide them for his own motives & purposes. Honor ideals = /= Villianous Acts. Soul reapers weren't all good which is highlighted in TYBW a lot so he had the right idea of punishing those that needed punishment but went about it the wrong way, lost in his revenge. Anywho, he's definitely going to be one of the first picks! I can't wai! How about you, anyone you're absolutely excited for?

The character I was most excited for was actually shinji lol but his gameplay doesn’t seem so much interesting. My main interest aside are barragan and stark. I feel like I’ll definitely end up maining barragan but theses 2 others will be played a lot definitely. Also to reply on what u said earlier it is true that soul reapers are not all good and was kinda corrupted in the beginning. So a character like tosen who stands for justice might have more than enough reasons to not side with them, especially if we take the fact that justice itself isn’t really applied in soul society. I’m really starting to have a different perspective on the matter from this conversation lol
@@marellthompson5164 so the license for the game was purchased early 2024/late 2023 so I’d say 2 year but can’t say how many more than that. They did say at the end of episode three that they did story mode animations in 1 1/2 years though which they mentioned to the VA.
Honestly I expected a bit more from the story mode, for what I've seen so far it seems a bit rushed and summarised, they didn't even show Yuzu, Karin or Isshin. I would've waited even just three months more for it to be more polished. Maybe it's because Cyber connect is more specialized in creating the story?
@@giusyvacca2736 I don’t think with 3 more months they would be added. The way I’m seeing it, if you have the model, it’s cause they are playable whether it’s NPC or a playable character. During Shinji’s trailer, two vizards weren’t present which might mean they aren’t in the game and so they left them out of the scene since they don’t have models. It’s expensive to make models so I don’t think they intend to show characters who weren’t playable or NPC except maybe the way they showed Uryu’s grandfather as a flashback in a photo. Honestly I’m okay with that, with all the dialogue they have added; it’s gonna feel like you’re watching a new adapted bleach story thru a video game but not every scene will be 1:1. They also dropped the kido breaking moment that happens down stairs and his soul starts shining before the kido breaks. One of my favorite scenes but still, this level of quality through the entire story? I can’t be mad lol. This is a fighting game & the FIGHTING is QUALITY. I’m glad they put the actual combat above everything & the Story more surely gets a passing grade even if it’s not 100%
@SaintIrving You're right if we consider the game only by it's core genre, also we can't judge the story mode as a whole just by a fraction of it. I still don't know if there will be some kind of free roam or the formula will just be: cutscene - > fight -> cutscene. I'm still wondering how Ichigo recovered all his lost health while doing the kikon move. At last, I found the menu a bit too dark and simple, as you said they could've done more with it

The scenes feel a little lacking in some ways (ex: we don't see the Kurosaki family getting attacked), but the character models shown are well done. Reminds me of Sparking Zero where there's a hybrid of regular animation and motion capture. Interesting choice to use a sort of yellow liquid to simulate blood and keep the game rating down. Honestly, it kinda works for a spirit to not have blood.
Yeah, I'm kinda okay with the family not making it. I really wasn't expecting a 1:1 but I can understand some people were expecting that. The blood did surprise me but not the first anime game to do that, especially when it's rated T for teens. In the battle scenes, I think the blood is black. This is a Japanese-based game so the censorship tracks. Disappointing but not a dealbreaker.
@emeraldanimations2658 JJK too, had black blood & it bothered me to see it. This is easier on the eyes & I didn’t even blink. Forgot there was blood in this scene til I saw Rukia injured.

i think it great but it would have been better if they were playing it on 60fp - 120fp

ngl i kinda mess with the yellow blood idea. im tired of having black blood after what happened with storm connections
