3 year Houston veteran I live in a expensive 1/1 in montrose but i love it!!! The weather is definitely better in htx than my city (Chicago). Midwest is the best “west”.
When it rains in Houston man it floods bad because of the poor drainage issues

That’s crazy, I’m from Carson!! I’d say no.. I think LA is the best city in the world tbh, but Houston isn’t too far behind. LA is pretty hard to beat!
How do you feel about the professional black after-work/nightlife scene? For example, those who make $70k+ a year and want to have cocktails/food with like-minded people after work on a Tuesday. I was unable to find things like that while I was there, and that's one reason why I'm reconsidering Houston. I was able to find a turn up every night though lol... During the week I need a level two.
Great question, you can definitely find a turnup anytime 😂. I think those places are out there, you just have to find the one’s that haven’t been discovered by everyone yet or commit to maintaining a chill, upscale environment. I’d recommend Loch Bar, Moxie’s, Masraff’s, or Rosalie just to name a few!
