Two years ago a few schools in Europe and Asia were invited as I wanted a more global ranking however none would participate. I'll try and invite more this next year and see if a few will join.

Do you think schools like Stony Brook which offer a PhD are Quantitative Finance are legit? I would think that at the PhD level most people are just going for a PhD in Math, Stats, Engineering/Operations Research or Economics and just focusing on mathematical finance, financial engineering or financial econometrics as their subfield.

Hey , So it Seems a hard shot and putting it simple, I want to get into Quant Trading, my bg in math [ Intro to ( Linear algebra , Probability , statistics i.e measures of dispersion , central tendency etc,] Fin math [ DCFs , Compounding , EMH , portfolio theory and other basics] I know its not enough but I need books to take me further, my goal is to either start doing individually or to get a job if possible.

I am in NY thinking about doing a masters at Stony Brook, but i already did a masters in data science. I know that you said that data science isn't as rigorous but i did my undergrad in engineering with a math minor.
