Thank you so much for this video! You‘re content is great, I‘ve seen the „a day in the life of a quant“ at first - very well done. Please keep going! 👏🏻
Watching your video from France ! thank you ! Can't wait to see your video about how to polish resume and more about the interview process in general :)
I'm also an young quant woman (live in Japan) , so this video was very helpful for me. I made mind to keep studying English and FE dreaming to be like you someday...😂 if possible, i wanna chatting with you.....😢
Thank you so much for making this video! I am a senior student currently preparing to apply for MFE programs, and CMU is also one of my dream school 🥲I would love to hear your advice on how to polish a quant resume, select a Master's program, and just general advice on becoming a quant! Sending a lot of support here~
How do one distinguish between quant developer and researcher ? I want to become a quant researcher but online sources says a lot different things. People are saying quant researcher doesn’t require much coding some says it requires intense coding skills. where quant dev is basically a software engineer?
Hi, I'm not going to say you should share your salary, that's totally up to you. But you should know that in the state of California, it's illegal for employers to prevent employees from disclosing their salary (or retalitate against them for doing so).
Hi! Watching your video from Spain. I wonder whether its too old/compettitive for someone who is 35 to have their first quant job? My background is in math and have been developer for over 4 years now. Keep up the good work! :)
Thank you so much for this video! You‘re content is great. I have a request if you are comfortable could you please recommend some books or courses . Maybe you could share a roadmap with topics . Please
I want to apply for a master degree on computational finance or FE . Can you please advice me on how to choose the right one to become quant trader? And also it would be great if you talk on the specific topics in statistic ,probability and math that as a quant trader need to work on.
Thanks for your sharing.I’m a viewer from Taiwan, also working in financial industry.Don’t know whether there is any videos about applying US school and experience of studying abroad haha Anyway, it’s a great video👏👏
Thank you for the video, it was really clear and gave an answer to a lot of my questions. I have just one question: I'm currently building a track record of my trading strategies, a portfolio of softwares that I made and I'm studying economics at university; I'm thinking to start studying "data science" as next degree (I'm really passionate about machine learning). Once I'll complete the journey, do you think that this things could bring me to a quant job, or should I do something more/different in order to get a job in that field? Thank you so much!
Thank You, would like to know more about different MFE programs like , the ones which fall under Business Schools and other which are part of Math & Stats Dept at Universities, which one should we prefer !!!
Thanks for your opinion! I think is really usefull to a lot of people interested on quant market. I would like to ask you, is there any limit age on quant jr new joiners?
Thanks for the great video! Do you think that non-math or science major or someone who has nothing to do with this field at all can also do quant investment by learning alone?
thanks for the video it was really helpful!! 我是大三学生准备找summer internship,也在考虑读硕士,想了解您申请美国master时的背景(本科,work experience 等等)~期待您的以后的quant related videos!!

Can you share if you have met anyone who is from a business background but managed to make it to quant? Would love to know how they did it as well. Thank you
Hi, your video is really great! I actually have 1 question. Currently im working as risk model validation and also hold a bachelor’s degree in economics (major in applied statistics). My question is will the chance for me to pass the cv round for a quant trader role be the same as someone that has a masters degree in statistics or financial engineering?
L (would have deleted, but I figured you'd have gotten the notification), I didn't write this to demean your comment was an accident. Didn't even realize I had sent this.
Hi thanks for the video. I'm concerned about whether I'm still competitive in the quant industry if I'm pivoting into it at the age of 29. I have been in Civil Engineering industry and would graduate with a Quant Finance Master degree in 2024 May. What are the chances, and if it's not recommended to become a quant, is Risk Management the best alternative? Thanks a lot!
Can someone in late 30s (unmarried, so no family responsibility & can live like people who r in 20s) passionate about financial market enroll in year long quant finance masters course & switch from software testing job to Quant finance job
Hi, this is Ray from Insightin Talent. We are searching quant researcher for top quantitative hedge funds in China. I'm wondering if you may have interest in new opportunities? Thank you.
Hello! I just sat for the level 3 CFA exam and I’m interesting in pivoting into the quant direction. My main three routes I’m interested in generally is equity research, fixed income research, and quantitative research. Naturally, I’m building up my Python skills as I’ve already become strong in excel, tableau, and automation tools like alteryx. I’m 25 now, would you or any of my fellow commenters suggest anything in particular to get started on that journey ? Currently waiting to take a Python programming course and start posting weekly projects to my other UA-cam channel to act as a living portfolio / resume. Perhaps a Python project that can get me started ? Solid statistics work or statistics projects applied to finance ? Shoot I don’t even mind doing the world happiness survey stuff over again lol

first time to see a female quant share video on youtube! really inspiring!
Why? What is so special about a female getting a job. If anyone has the ability, just do it. No matter what they have between their legs.
There’s nothing legally preventing you from sharing your salary. By federal law, employers cannot prohibit employees from disclosing their salary.
She works in blackrock that's why . Big firms like citadel, blackrock, have some rules.
She signed an NDA
@@tanayk02once again, non binding in this case. Federal law prohibits employers from preventing employees from disclosing their salary

Hi, as a quant you are going to assigned with teams right? And interact with them at work and out of work?
Would loveee a video on how to choose the right MFE program !!
Will do!
You seem to imply that the usual work of a quant is much more related to statistics than with analytical models. Is that correct"?
Hi, can you make a video explaining the career path of a quant out of MFE (with 5+ years of out of industry experience)
Thank you for making this video! What math degree did you do as a dual major?
your videos arrived here in Brazil too, but why don't you make a video on how to be a free lance quant ....?

Can you shed some light on how you build models to find noisy data

How is the financial engineering course from WQU ?
Can someone in late 30s (unmarried, so no family responsibility & can live like people who r in 20s) passionate about financial market enroll in year long quant finance masters course & switch from software testing job to Quant finance job
Is a degree in maths or that in cs is better?
I'm doing a conversion degree in data science and artificial intelligence. Do you think this would be a good foundation to break into this field?
the crucial factor is the name of your university. it has to be a target school to break into IB/hedge fund sector.
很棒的內容!想了解是否有實際Quant幫助團隊的例子!例如團隊曾經使用過什麼統計方法找出arbitrage的alpha!期待你的新影片~
