I wanted to visit Japan since the year 1989. I would say the biggest influence had to be the Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo. I was 5 years old at the time, and to 1980s kids, turbo power sounded like magic. Well, when I heard of twin turbo for the first time, that sounded like ultra magic. I might not have noticed the Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo as it came out. However, my mom had a 1985 Nissan Maxima, and I loved it. That car featured a robot voice chip. It made me know and like the name Nissan. There were definitely other reasons I wanted to go. Around 2018 or 2019, I realized that Shibuya Crossing was in every collection of photos that said Japan is 10 years in the future.
