Great cleaning video!! You asked how we do it so here goes. I buy a lot of NOS knives that have set for 30 to 50 yrs and everything has dried up in hard to get to places. Also the bone is dirty and starting to bleach. I take every new knife to the Kitchen sink, wet the knife (warm water) spray with Dawn Power wash and scrub with a soft toothbrush. It only takes a few minutes and the knife is clean. Then I put it in cutting board mineral oil over night (That allows the bone to absorb some oil) Then I wipe it dry and use Fitz or Case paste to polish. But as I said, a lot of my knives have almost a varnish glaze on them and the dawn removes that and any paste very quickly. Take care and God bless 🙏
Great job, I was amazed at the amount of stuff that came off the bolsters. I like cleaning knives up, but I usually end up cutting myself so I have to have the bandaids on standby. Thanks for sharing and have a great blessed day.
Good job brother! Appreciate you sharing this!

Those are some excellent ideas!! I will defiantly try out cleaning them with Dawn and soaking them in mineral oil. Thanks for the ideas!
