Oh my goodness! That tutorial! Thank you! I bought 2 packages of 24 each of those empty ornaments at 90 percent off! What a score! I'm so going to make those!!!
I agree, your first WIP I would get rid of. The calendar I would use what ever color floss you want. Your tutorial was awesome, thanks. Glad to see you back, enjoyed the video. Love all your WIPs.
Considering your uncertain WIPs, I would abandon the first one as I agree that the colors are not highlighted on that fabric. I would restart on a different color fabric. For the calendar, I would just pick one color from the range and finish it that way. There's no need for a zillion colors in a piece that big. :P That's my two cents! Love your stitching and the way your mind works for stitching! :D
Oh!!!! I love your finishing ornament!!!! I will be doing that in the future!!!! Love the look of it and I can imagine how lovely it will be on the tree!!! Thank you for sharing!!! And by the way, I also appreciated the pictures at the beginning of the tutorial. Your sweet additions to your family are wonderful!!!
In regards to your WIP with many different flosses, I too worked on a project like that and drove me crazy, I almost didn’t finish it as I got so frustrated but in the end I did finish it and I love it but I would not do another project like that. So I feel your frustration. With that said your project looks amazing and beautiful just push through it and you’ll be happy you did.
Arttie! That tutorial is fantastic! Thank you so much! I can't wait to try it! As for your dilemmas, I would cut your losses on the first one since you really do want to stitch the whole thing. Just restart on better fabric. For the second one, I would pick your own colors and make it the way you want it!
I really enjoyed your flosstube today! Thank you so much for sharing your finishing tutorial also! Now I have two ways in my arsenal to use those ornament balls😁and I really like your finish that you shared. As for your two WIPS, I personally would abandon the Swedish one, and would definitely go with your idea of choosing a FEW colors for the rest of the calendar and finish it like you suggested. Your stitching is lovely BTW!
On your dark grey fabric, I would finish it. If you frame it use a bright mat. If you make it into a large pillow use bright finishing cording. It will make the design pop. 🧡
Thanks for the tutorial. Very cute and easy. Grandbaby is adorable! On the advent piece, I would pick fewer colors and go with that. I agree on the gray piece, just not standing out enough. Maybe if you did the old time back stitching in black we use to do it would help.
Love your tutorial at the end looks so easy AND I really like advent one if it was me I would do one block at a time You have some great whips Did you every finish QUAKER Christmas I can’t remember if it was you or someone else Love your floss tube and tutorials when you do them Can’t wait for the next one
Welcome back. Thank you for the tutorial. The first questionable WIP in question I would just get rid of. That color does not enhance the floss at all. The second one I would use fewer flosses and make it easier to stitch.
On the Scandinavian piece I would finish it as a half. That way it can get hung in a doorway or something thin. Beautiful stitching i have so many projects I want to get hands on and there isn't enough time in the day or energy in my body to do ❤
As far as the project on the gray fabric, I totally agree with you that it doesn't work. The only solution besides dumping it, I can think of is to maybe find a really neat finishing fabric that highlights the design, cut it really close to the design (not leaving much gray to see around it) and make a pillow out of it.
Nice finishes. I think finishing the Scandinavian piece as a half would be fine. Personally, If I really like a pattern, but don't like, or am having problems with the fabric, I restart it. I have done that on a few patterns. If you don't think you'll like stitching the advent color even if you just choose a handful of colors, I think using it as a give away is a good idea.
Thanks so much for the tutorial! Why did I never think of making a bow that way?🤔😂 With the advent, I would just use the colors you love, and with the one on grey, maybe donate and restart on fabric that works, or adjust the colors? Just a thought🤷♀️😊
I'm with you, Girlfriend! I can't bear a bunch of WIPS! I finished my WIPS on New Year 🎊 Day and had 4 new starts in New 🎉 Year's Day. Also, I completely agree that if you're just "done" with a project and you know you have no desire at all to stitch on it? Give it away! Move on! There is no extra credit for stitching what you no longer want to stitch!
I would pick you third opion pick what colors you want and go with it . Your first wip try on a different fabric and if your still not feeling it see if someone else wants it
On the piece of cross-stitch you don't like on Grey, I would abandon on that fabric. If you love the pattern, choose a new fabric and start over. Otherwise, it's a donation stitch because you don't care for it. On the advent, I would give it to someone else. 😊 I just don't think you will be happy. Stitch what you love!! It is so good to see you again. Land That I Love is gorgeous. My has been kitted up for a couple of years, I need to do it dog-gone it. An Arttie tutorial 🎉 thank you for sharing.
@thevintagestitcher2022 could you please recommend a good place to start? I have never ordered online. I just moved to a remote area in Minnesota where there is nothing and I am forced to order online. I just don't know where to start.
I think the teal and gold on the gray is really pretty. I say finish it. However, if it’s not making you happy, give it away. You have too much done to trash it.
I love e thetutoria for your advent project, i would just continue and just pick the red green etc and keep themthe samethroughout the project. For the stitching with the housewives chart, I would restart. Those colors don't work on that gray.
Thank you for the great tutorial! Stitch what you enjoy & put aside those that don't.
I love how cheerful you always are! Thank you!

Enjoyed the tutorial!
I ❤ creative, budget friendly finishes!😊
Loved your tutorial and Thanks for showing O Beautiful! Your stitching is so cute on all your projects!!😊💗🪡🧵
Thank you so much for the great tutorial! The ornaments are so darn cute!!

This is exactly what I would do.
Thank you for your video and specially for your tutorial!!! I am sure will make some like yours. Love, love all your projects!
Love the finishing with the Christmas bulb.
Thank you so much for the tutorial!! I have a fear of finishing but I think even I can do this!!

Love your Ornament, finishes, wips and etc … just go on and finish the wips you started … until next time Happy Stitching 🧵 … 😊❤ Dena
Beautiful babies! Thank you for the ornament tutorial, easy finish with amazing results.

Adorable ornament tutorial! Thank you
The baby and the puppy are sure are cute. I love them both❤❤
What a great video. I can’t wait to make a few ornaments - maybe for Easter! 🐇

I did Quaker Christmas several years ago.
Welcome back. Thank you for the tutorial. The first questionable WIP in question I would just get rid of. That color does not enhance the floss at all. The second one I would use fewer flosses and make it easier to stitch.

For the advent i would just pare down the colors:)
I love the advent calendar and love the different colours, I think it needs the colours and would stitch it.. I would abandon the circle piece.
Finish this half on this fabric and do the other half on another fabric, then sew the two halves together.
On the piece of cross-stitch you don't like on Grey, I would abandon on that fabric. If you love the pattern, choose a new fabric and start over. North Pole
Cookie Company is adorable. Please Frame it .
Where do you get your charts, kits, fabric, and other supplies?
Lol. All over. I have collected and accumulated so much. I love shopping for craft supplies.
@thevintagestitcher2022 could you please recommend a good place to start? I have never ordered online. I just moved to a remote area in Minnesota where there is nothing and I am forced to order online. I just don't know where to start.
On Land the hardest part is the strawberry band.
I would get rid of first wip and keep the second wip and choose the colors you want
Pass on the calendar pattern and fabric. It's over with!!! 😊😊😊
I think the teal and gold on the gray is really pretty. I say finish it. However, if it’s not making you happy, give it away. You have too much done to trash it.
Are you using all the called for floss in Land That I Love?
Dmc conversion
I would save the blank side and ditch the other. There will be a better color out there
I love e thetutoria for your advent project, i would just continue and just pick the red green etc and keep themthe samethroughout the project. For the stitching with the housewives chart, I would restart. Those colors don't work on that gray.
Pick your own Color’s, you have done so much work already, it would be sad to get rid of it❤❤❤❤
I’m with you on abandoning . Life is too short to read a bad book or stitch a boring pattern.
❤
What ever happened to small town needleworks I miss whatching their videos
Unfortunately, they have resigned many areas of the stitching community. 😪
@ that’s truly too bad they were great
The advent is clearly driving you nuts. I would donate it or abandon it.
😊🪡🧵🤗🤩
Ditch the grey fabric piece, it's yuck. On the calendar use your color choices and do what makes you happy.
The grey material does nothing for turquoise. Dump it!!!!😢😢😢😢
