I like this version better than the studio take. Neil sings with such passion, it gives me the chills.
The intro always hits me, those grungy, deep guitar chords.. absolute mastery.
Best version hands down.....TJ STRUSKA
unbelievable performance.should of been the album version.they are worlds apart.
I'm a writer, pretty damn good at my craft. But I'm envious and humbled by songwriters like Neil Young and Bob Dylan who can write such piercing words AND sing and pray. It's like I juggle with 5 balls while they juggle 7...TJ STRUSKA
It's because they have lived the songs they sing. Not trying to make a buck off false prophet like most "writers". You can't fake experience. Neil Young is a prime example. Bob Dylan even more because he can play a whole set with the same 2 chords and make you feel different every time, and he has.
There's no way I am not blood-related to Mr. Neil Young within a few generations!
Well, I don't sing as good...
This version is my favorite.
Lyrics are genius in this song
Epic Young as always!
My favorite Young song 💓
