something about massey hall.. i don't know if your a fan, but check out matthew good live at massey hall. absolutely flawless from front to back. highly recommended.
Been a Neil Young fan since 1971...that makes me an Old Man with a Heart of Gold! Saw him in Kilkenny,Ireland in 2019 where he totally outshone Bob Dylan, where he was on the same bill. It was a glorious sunny hot day...very appropriate to the special occasion! Definitely a life memorable event!
This is the EXACT SAME show, in song order that he did, that same year, same tour, at the Chicago Auditorium show in Jan 71...he'd just got done with back surgery in chicago, was with Carrie, and wore that same flannel shirt thats on the cover. A memorable night for this 15 year old at the time...bought the bootleg from rubber ducky who recorded it. There was magic and smoke in the air in that historic building and a flow of words, music and presence from the stage that was spellbinding. Thanks for the memories and so much more at that time and going forward.
I love hearing stories like these. Thank you for sharing your experience. You're lucky to have witnessed Neil at his best! I wish I could do the same :/
Big Smile on my face, love these tunes as they are timeless. Many memories from over the years - Massy Hall what a great place to see a concert have always loved that place
Wow! This is my favorite Buffalo Springfield song. I always thought it was a Stephen Stills song because he sang it. Things like this make the internet worthwhile.
Awesome... Needless to say... Needle is always awesome I'm on voice text sorry he knows who I am I grew up on this song and I just sent it to my lovely girlfriend who I've been with for 40 years thank you Neil... not Needle ! Sorry! And I work for myself too just like you brother ! Not working for Pepsi or Coke. People try to make my life a joke.. I ain't doing that either brother.!!!!! One thing about Neil. If you know anything about him. He stands his ground no matter what. And he happens to make lovely songs. His songs have stirred my heart for 50 years. I even met him a few times but I was probably just another hippie in the crowd. Whatever. Love you Brother !!!
I've been a fan of Neil Young since I first heard him. If someone asked me what one album to buy of Neil's, without hesitation I would say Live at Massey Hall 1971. Notwithstanding the fact he produced many since this one. Runner Up for me is Tonight's the Night.
Can't believe more people don't love this jam. Don't know why.
this whole concert is amazing best performance by any artist...... one of the greats

One of the very Best songwriters ever 👍
Probably the greatest Neil tune ever done what a voice 😂 powerful.
Saw this man 5 times. He is the performer that will metaphorically throw himself into an audience without ever leaving the stage.
fazia tempo que eu não passava por aqui. é sempre bom voltar!!!!!
Massey Hall has an amazing acoustic level. With Neil Young Performing there the experience is Ethereal.
Best version. One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Love Neil, LONG MAY YOU RUN!!!!

Neil in his prime, just pure talent
That guitar is so beautiful.
Love how he has done the guitar on this track.
the greatest collection of sound ever
Robert Tutor this isn’t sound this is practically a work of art.

This reminds me everyday why i like Neil Young so much!
Mythical. He is so good it hurts.
He’s got one of those voices that provokes a powerful visceral reaction. In other words, I cannot listen right after shaving my legs. Haha
Look for "Don't let it bring you down", from the same live (it's also on the BBC recording in '71)

Tonight's the night is a masterpiece. This is my favorite version of on the way home.
I heard harvest when I was 3 or 4. He's been my favorite ever since.
......in ricordo del nostro amico Beppe chitarra Ferrari salito in cielo....
Can you feel it now? Can you?
Great sound!! Seems like Neil is at our side singing in this moment.Thank you ocelot529 for share it.

with Neil you gotta hate his guts and be totally unappreciative of his art, look down on him and then he'll pay attention
