- "From darkness towards light" an event that consisted of heart warming talks and moving spiritual reawakening. The event was organized at Deewan-e-khas Gaddaffi stadium Lahore.
This was at SIST (shifa inter scholastic tournament) 2012. SIST was a part of the This was organized by Youth club (Lahore). Youth club is a platform for youth to engage in healthy and productive activities. Get in touch with us to know more.

Alhamdulillah Allah has given me a beautiful voice, I do many stage songs but Allah has given me hidayah and I quit songs and started reading Hamd and Naat with the same beautiful voice which Allah has blessed me

The full ayah 6 in Surah Luqman is "And of the people is he who buys the amusement of speech to mislead [others] from the way of Allah without knowledge and who takes it in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment."
"the amusement of speech" or "idle talk" here is according to ibn Masu'd and ibn Abbas (ra) is "singing" the the last part of the ayah says "Those will have a humiliating punishment". How can you have a punishment on something which is not prohibited?
Wallahi I forgive you and May Allah forgive us all for our mistakes. The prohibition is clear in front of you brother and alhamdulilah you agree with the saying of the Sahabas. The only thing that is stopping you from being satisfied with it is the whisper of shaitan and your hawa(desires) and we all suffer for them. Ask Allah to open your heart and our heart to guidance inshAllah

It was also reported with a saheeh isnaad from Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with them both) that this means singing
The scholar of the ummah, Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him)(companion) said: this means singing.

Allah knows that his creation will like it and that is why its a test for us... could we be ever tested with something that we dont even like? No, right! You can also see that in the music industry so many singers are taking anti-depressants and are committing suicide. IT takes you away from real peach and from the love of Allah. I promise you, once you understand Quran then you will love listening to its recitation and you will never like to listen to music again.

As far as it concerns to Music in Islam I don't think that it is forbidden (haraam), For, I searched and studied much about this only issue in authentic books and fatawas of scholars, and I never came across even a single Hadith or Qurani Ayah in which it is said Haraam or disliked. I tried my best to come to know if it is haraam or not and later on I decided to not give it up. So I love music. Its not my passion but faith also.

Let me share a comment by a renowned musician by the name of junaid jamshed "Believe me, had their been any allowance in islam to listen to music i would have found it". This he said because he couldnt and left music and is today much much more famous because any sacrifice made for the sake of Allah is replaced with something much much better. Just search for the rapper Loon who also left music and is a brilliant muslim :)
