    Thanks for the demonstration! Planning on building a 4B11T with a dry sump and this video did a good job of providing insight into the system. I've heard that if the vehicle is sits for a couple days that priming of the dry sump is required. Is this something that you go through the trouble of doing or is it application/vehicle specific?

      Thanks! I don't think that is necessary but its nice to be able to prime it. I do it after every oil change but not every start. but yeah if it sits for for a while, why not. It's easy to do.

    Thanks for the video.. excellent. can you tell me which dry sump from Dailey you are using..I am doing a custom design so I am just looking for the specs. 3 stage or 4? Pressure and vacuum are you shooting for. My build target is 280 hp NA. Thank you

    Excellent video and a very nice installation. I'm brand new to the Honda scene and you might be able to provide me with a little direction. I'm looking at building a K20/24 power plant for a 16' jet boat. Can these motors be built for torque and reliability? I'm looking for between 350-500 hp. I've looking at turbo and superchargers, would like to avoid the turbo because of the heat generation, but not out of the question. The boat will be made to run, not doddle! Any guidance would be appreciated, Thank you.

      I would contact 4Piston. I believe they have put a few K motors in boats. I know they can have 400HP reliably in car no problem but IDK about a boat.

      Thank you for getting back to me on this. You do very nice work, I suspect your last name has something to do with it!
      Anyway, I did look at 4 piston and sent them a note on the build they did. With the American V8 craze in jet boat, I think K20/24's really have a place once they're on the water.

      @@brookhammerschmidt4464 how did you relocate the idle control, maintenance, reliability, stability? What’s the frequency of how many times you have to make adjustments before racing? How did you relocate the other oem sensors that was hooked up to the oem intake manifold? Performance compared to oem intake manifold? Etc.

    Why not change the gearing with the pump pulley so there's always enough vacuum? No need for a catch can saves some weight and every little bit helps. You mentioned running -15psi which I don't think will ever be NOT enough.

      I'll have to rewatch what part you're talking about but there is always going to be vacuum with the dry sump but the thing I was concerned about was making too much. If you make 15 in of mercury or more you can start damaging seals because it sucks them in. But I have since run the engine with a gauge on it and it maxes out at 10-11 in of mercury. So that's about perfect, good vacuum but not enough to damage things. Regarding the catch can, I think you will always need one but I will ask about that.

      Hard to say as I didn't test with and without the dry sump but there should be some small gains.
