Very interesting video , that increases our professionalism . When I attend any presentation , I get 50 % of the information if the person who gives the presentation is competent or not. Thank you so much Cathrine.

@@TheEnglishCatESL🤭 . I support everyone especially youth people or who tries to grow up, I never ever try or even thinking to block people by questions even if there are mistakes on the presentation ( in my field). Honestly , you’re professional and I’m learning from you. Keep going and never give up Catherine. Thank you so much 😊 .

@@Bihi_Lotfi That means so much thank you! I agree with you, I would never tell someone they are wrong / have made a mistake, UNLESS they ask for feedback, then yes of course - the feedback can be helpful!

I have watched it to the end and I am over the moon for learning some hacks about presentation in English. The place where I work, presentations are usually made in our native language Uzbek but not in English but when English teachers happen to meet in seminars or workshops, there's a chance of putting our English in use.If those kind of presentations are often made, we will have a chance to practice what you are teaching us, Presentation in English. In my opinion, when you make a presentation in English, your tips are of great avail and come in handy. Watching your video once is not enough as there are much information in it. You are an incredible English teacher. I appreciate your business. Thumbs up! Cheers!

Sure - I think a lot of places do most of their presentations in the common language, but I am seeing a rise in more diverse, mixed nationality teams. Many of my students suddenly need to start using English because their new boss, or a new employee is a native speaker!
      Thank you for your comment!

Hello mam would you please explain how to use (thus ,However)correctly
in a sentence becouse I often find them difficult to understand how they mean in that specific situation.

For however, I do have a video on conjunctions that you might find helpful.
For thus, I personally never use it because there are so many other conjunctions that sound better, therefore, as a result of this, considering the above etc etc.
However, to answer your question, thus is used as a way of saying - in conclusion, or, due to all of this I think...

    Hello English cat,
1)"His son is upstairs dying" Do I require a comma(,) and 'And' prior to the word 'dying'?
2)Her son is upstairs and dying.
    3)Her son is upstairs, dying.

    • @TheEnglishCatESL
      @TheEnglishCatESL  28 днів тому

You do not need a comma as it is a full sentence.
      His son is upstairs dying.
If you wanted to put emphasis on what he was doing upstairs then you could add the comma...
      His son is upstairs, singing.
      His son is upstairs, playing.
But without the comma it is a full sentence.
I have a video on commas if you are interested - ua-cam.com/video/CHIMMAwJ95w/v-deo.html
