I have a enclosed car hauling trailer about the same size as your motorhome. It’s roof delaminated just like your roof did. It’s caused by the flexing up and down longitudinally as you drive over bumpy roads (ie. most Mexican roads and all of Interstate 40 in the USA.). The turn down flange on the roof is sealed and screwed to the sides and isn’t able to over come the flexing. The screws rip out of the sidewall and also usually rip thru the metal/fiberglass of the roof. Obviously this has happened before and certainly will happen again as it’s driven.
