Thanks man. Very happy to help! Should have some good videos coming out in the next month or so - hard to pump them out and juggle everything else but super excited for what we have in store!
Hey bro...Nice video, I am from Sydney too...I have an e82 125i (Its been tuned at Zadtec👍) I have blacked out aftermarket indicators as the oem ones tend to oxidise and look old...I got a similar front grill...I went with carbon fibre boot lip replacement... I can highly recommend flow design (Melbourne) for a front lip and side skirts...It has really added more of an aggressive look to mine... Also a sprintbooster is a great tool to have... Enjoy your ride...
Thanks man. Sounds like you’ve got some nice mods on your car. I know about flow design, have heard good things. I’m not touching the lip or skirts yet as I’m still considering going 1M body kit or not - time will tell!
Hey I ordered the grills for my car, but the fit is loose and i can get them out without pushing down the clips, and im a bit afraid they are gonna fall out. Do you have any solution for this? Great video btw.
Yes, mine wasn’t a perfect clip in fit. Mine always was a little loose. I noticed this after the video. What I did was get a heat gun to bend the plastic bits up. Perfect clips now. No chance of coming out
have you had any issues with the vehicle info/settings such as the car saying certain parts are not working? ppl have told me not to get aftermarket parts cuz it messes with the BMW computer system. i do not want to have to recode/reset all the vehicle data etc. Have you had in problems in this regard?
Hi mate, it’s the electrical mods that can do this. You just need them to be genuine or have a resistor. The LED indicators come with a resistor that tells the system that they’re regular indicator bulbs. For my tail lights they’re genuine, so no drama
@@ElliottBrooks Ah thank you. I also have a black 1 series like yours but wasn't sure. I had to cancel twice my order :) I wasn't sure if the outside lens was more clear or not.
@@dg7438 no problem. They’re a pretty cool upgrade for the cost in my opinion! Very high quality LEDs. The stickiness of the “gasket” isn’t perfect, but that can be solved pretty easy with double sided tape.
@@dg7438 I’ve had mine three years or so now and haven’t had any noticeable issues - but worth making sure they stay stuck down to avoid any opportunity for water to get in
To be honest, I would stay away from BMW as a p plater. The servicing and upkeep is much higher than other cars. Go for something cheap and fun and graduate into more expensive cars from there. If a BMW is cheap - then it probably has a lot of problems
That makes sense. I’ve had no issues though. I don’t know if the stock ones have a gasket do they? I can’t remember. But I know these are held in by spring so it’s pretty tight in there
It’s a year on now and still no issues between the spring and the double sided tape. My car is garaged though, so depends if your car is out in the open
Kidney grills are the only ones worth getting. Those mirror caps and ChinaStyle LED blinkers look rice, imo... I am speaking from experience - I got those blinkers and threw them in the trash after one week, they just look wrong...
Yeah they don’t suit perfectly. But I like that they’re much brighter and definitely that they’re tinted. I think your option is a decent halfway point
Do the come with xenons? If not, I don’t think it would be a straight swap. Would require ballasts, levelling motors and some wiring. I’m sure google will have more insight
Nice additions mate...they all look great.
Thanks Greg! Slow and steady
Just got my e82 for my first car, done the grills and side indicators, great video man, helped a lot 👍
Glad I could help. It does make a big difference, and even better when it’s cheap too :D make sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I just got myself a 135i so your videos are gonna be a big part of building my dream car 👌👌 great vids bro

Video simply and straight forward
Glad you appreciate it! Make sure to check my more recent videos as I think they’re even better 👍

hey mate car looking great im in syd with an e88 n55 lmk when u wanna cruise! need some more e chassis cruises
Nice one. Are you in any of the Sydney or 135i FB groups? We def need a group cruise soon
@@ElliottBrooks didnt know they existed ill have a search now! im in bella vista, think id like a downpipe cooler and e30 before i come hahaha!

Great video! Love your 1 series!
Thanks so much. I’ll have to do a follow up video soon
No links to where you bought from?
Thanks Justin. Links are now added

For the side markers did you get the 14 leds or 21 leds ? It’s giving my option and I just wanna know which one to get thanks
I don’t think they had two options when I originally purchased. 21 sounds like it would flow better
Cool man I appreciate that !
Have the same Rims tho, rlly nice bimmer.
Thanks! I want to change them eventually
Is that the dynamic crystal or dynamic black T10 side indicator?
Good question. I got the dynamic black. Felt that it suited my black car better. As you can see in the video, it doesn’t affect light output

Would you recommend a bmw 120i for a first car for a p plater
To be honest, I would stay away from BMW as a p plater. The servicing and upkeep is much higher than other cars. Go for something cheap and fun and graduate into more expensive cars from there. If a BMW is cheap - then it probably has a lot of problems
Do the mirror caps fit on 2013 e82 mirrors mate?
Yes should do. I believe there was two types available, so just check the item descriptions when purchasing
Can the mirrors fold with these caps? I have electronic folding on my E82 and I use it all the time?
Yeah they should be fine. I don’t have this feature but the top tab would not get in the way if that’s what you’re worrying about
Double-sided tape is going to leak on those side markers in a very short while so it's stupid to buy these unless they have full rubber gasket
That makes sense. I’ve had no issues though. I don’t know if the stock ones have a gasket do they? I can’t remember. But I know these are held in by spring so it’s pretty tight in there

Do you think they will fit the 2010 e82 coupe? 1 series cause I saw these and was like dam sexy 😂😂
Definitely! These mods will fit all e82. This is a 2008 but no drama with a 2010!
Elliott Brooks okay good! Like I just stumbled onto your video and I was like dam they look sexy asf haha but thank you
Just make sure yours has the LED stock lights already. I think if you have halogen rears you can’t upgrade to LED
Kidney grills are the only ones worth getting. Those mirror caps and ChinaStyle LED blinkers look rice, imo... I am speaking from experience - I got those blinkers and threw them in the trash after one week, they just look wrong...
Thanks for your opinion. I’ve now had them for a couple months and I’m very happy. Everyone’s tastes are difference I guess
LED blinkers I agree with, I don't like them either. Instead I tinted my stock blinkers. The mirror caps however are really nice.
Yeah they don’t suit perfectly. But I like that they’re much brighter and definitely that they’re tinted. I think your option is a decent halfway point
Hi what type of dailylight do you use
Headlight? When I filmed this video they were stock with aftermarket bulbs
does anyone know if the 128i E82 headlight are swappable with 135i headlights?
Do the come with xenons? If not, I don’t think it would be a straight swap. Would require ballasts, levelling motors and some wiring. I’m sure google will have more insight
@@ElliottBrooks nope, no xenons just halogens unfortunately :(( Thanks for the advice
Which alloys do you have bro?
They’re just stock 135i wheels :)
You miss on so many mods
Thanks for the feedback
