I watched this video about a year ago, and it ended up being the basis for my Luang Prabang stay in Laos. The last city I visited. Everything was so supurb! I loved the Phounsab Guest House, Saffron coffee, and all! I also discovered a sweet little cafe across the street where the staff was as memorable as the food. I'm going back next year, and thank you Mark for such wonderful suggestions! I even unwittingly had congee at the same sidewalk stand, and I couldn't get enough! Ahan saeb rai!
I was in Luang Prabang 18 years ago , I never forget it . Went on a 3 day hike in the jungle , it was fantastic . Fortunately it doesn’t look like it’s changed a lot.
We went their for the coffee and drank it exactly on the same spot as they are sitting in the video. Btw the breakfast is another good thing here. Luang Prabang is great.
Hi Mark, just had 4 days in Luang Prabang, absolutely loved it!! Such a beautiful and peaceful town, we will definitely be going back for sure. Great video too!
Love all you ppl!!!! Envy your lives. Really love seeing your little man grow. I have a great grandson just a bit older so it's sorta seeing him in another world. Wish I could afford to open up the world like this for him. Thank you for what you do. My world is bigger because of you!!!! Plus my food interests have greatly expanded. I now eat outside my American box. Lol. Thank you very much!!!
Luang Prabang is a great place for visit. Breakfast congee looks good and Lao coffee saap. Walk around the Morning market is great. You, Ying, and Micah got nice room in hotel 👍🏼
Good morning Mark Ying and Micah thanks for taking us all along on the tour and all the informative information with all it's history, the 🏡guest house is beautiful and spacious very nice. Another wonderful video thanks once again for sharing. 👋 bye Micah always nice to see you. ✈🌍🍴🍜👍👍.
Beans And Greens China does it also in Indonesia. They send thousands/million unemployment to Indonesia, they give debt with high interest for infrastructure but they have requirement that companies in Indonesia should use chinese people for tge projects. It is sucks.
@@beansandgreens365 yes I agree and this is not good. Building dams and cut off not only Laos but also Cambodia and Vietnam. I'm not a racist but what China is doing at the moment will have heavy consequences
It looks like a relaxing place to go. Love your videos Mark. Im learning so much about people n places n i like how you put in as much detail as possible, both visually n historically. Hi to Ying n Joel n a kiss for cute lil Micah X
I love to see your filming skills improving Mark, like at 9:01 where you crossed the street with Ying was very smart and cool looking. I can see the effort you're putting into these little details, and it really shows how passionate and dedicated you are not only to this channel, but the food, culture, the people and the artitechture of whatever country you visit. Huge fan, loving all your content, and I really like you as a person. I hope you visit Hungary one day and try all the authentic food, would really love to see that in a video :) Peace & love man.
What a great video with so much positivity and joy. My boyfriend and I are headed to Laos in a couple days and staying for a week. Will check out some of your recommendations. Thanks!
i been there its a nice place and same guest house i stayed....there is also another guest house i like near the river....but most the coffee in the park i love.
Mark, the production values on your videos are top notch. Some videos have audio quality so poor that you can't understand what is being said. Yours are always "on mike" and have superior editing. I would appreciate some information in the comments section on the equipment you use and also how to avoid sounding like you are broadcasting from the bottom of a rain barrel. I have never seen a single one of your vids with less than stellar production values. I was in radio broadcasting for forty years and I do tend to notice bad sound quality as well as GOOD quality sound..A run-down of the equipment you use and tips on avoiding the lousy mike quality in so many UA-cam videos, would be greately appreciated,You do a magnificent job and obviously care about the finished product. Thanks so much and looking forward to more great productions,
Beautiful place. Sure that is the place to relax. I remember mekong river when I visited golden triangle in Chiangrai. Nice to see a little boy now he's walking. Hi Micah😚😚

Good morning. I know this is years after you made the video but do you know if the guesthouse closed down as I can't find it anywhere online to book a room. I know with Covid many places are temporarily or permanently closed? Love your video and hoping to find more
Thanks a lot for sharing Mark. I really love Luang Prabang, its such a lovely and peaceful place. What I really like about your videos is that you are so respectful of locals and local culture. And that way, one can travel without even leaving the house ;-).

Akosi Aya it is super laid back but a lot of Chinese are trying to get more businesses over there and China wants to completely take over Laos :/
Beans And Greens China does it also in Indonesia. They send thousands/million unemployment to Indonesia, they give debt with high interest for infrastructure but they have requirement that companies in Indonesia should use chinese people for tge projects. It is sucks.

Good morning. It's beautiful where you're staying at. Best wishes for you and you family.
In regards to your comment about everything being slow, calm, relaxing, etc... The people in Laos joke that Lao PDR stands for “please don’t rush” 🥰
Ya , when westerner choose to go slow calm n relax , the Chinese work hard n fast to success .
The loser starts the blame games.
The gastronomic tradition of Laos is an experience in and of itself!
Blessings to you Joel 😘
