I’m glad you spoke up about the hotel. Im positive it’s not just you who is in recovery while staying in this hotel, so you are doing this for the greater good of everyone.
I'm glad that you called someone with your company and asked a very polite question. No. You definitely were not overreacting. You made the right decision.
I don’t understand why s hotel would charge you $10 to remove alcohol out of a room that makes no sense . Sounds like the airlines needs to drop this hotel.
I’m glad your company responded swiftly. It shows human kindness. I do find it ridiculous that you had to escalate a reasonable request that far up the chain.
Hi Steven. The Natural History Museum used to be quite good. It's more shocking to me that you went to Fort Worth and didn't have amazing BBQ brisket 😊.
Thank you Steven for a truly inspiring experience at the museum!!! The insects you heard are cicadas, I live in west Tennessee and we have them also. We call them Katy-dids and I’m hearing them right now!!! Well the hotel didn’t charge you to put the alcohol in there, so why charge to take it out😳 It’s hard to fathom that all of those museum pieces made it through centuries!!! Well, I’m off to cook supper. Fly safe 💗 Peace ✌️ Love ❤️ and Thrifting 🛒
Absolute violation of inclusivity to it's patrons, especially one from (I would assume), a company that provides a solid amount of the hotels business. Would the restaurant charge $10 to remove a chair to accommodate a wheelchair at the table? No! Would they charge $10 to have someone cover mirrors for a Jewish person in morning if they requested it? I should hope not. It would literally take 10 minutes to have the items removed and should simply be included in Customer Service and Customer Care. Good Customer Service is hard to find these days. I live in DFW....my husband has wanted me to go to that Gallery with him for a couple of years now. Didn't know it was so incredible. HAHAHA! Love your videos and humour. I too am an FA ✈
I would have been very concerned if my 13-year old had created that painting!! Lol!! That little "butt hole" had eyes, a nose and whiskers!! Did you notice that? Loved the surprise Monet seascape and the clouds in that painting were amazing!!! Not a fan of alcohol to begin with having been in law enforcement...would have made my job sooooo much easier if no one drank as alcohol was usually the initiating issue for most of our calls then!! Enjoy the rest of your trip!! Big hugs to Buddy and Eleanor when you get home!!
I’m not gonna lie, that was a good one. I laughed when you said he said pet-friendly hotel. That was a good line. But it’s ridiculous to charge for it. I agree. They should respect that and be able to accommodate. And I liked what you said about flight attendants being in a room selling them stuff. You’re not on vacation. All you do is travel. Why would they contract with an airline and expect flight attendants to be able to spent $10 on m&m’s all the time?
That Monet! I would never have guessed that. I find art galleries overwhelming so having you take us around to really see the artworks is fantastic. You are a treasure yourself🤗 You are the antithesis of that ignorant front desk clerk!
I mean come on.....really whats the matter anymore !!! Glad it all got resolved but to have to jump through all those hoops just for something so simple !!! The hotel wasted mire time on this ! Which vould if been resolved in a snap if a finger shakes head
Seriously, I can always recognize a group of alcoholics hanging outside of meeting. There's a look, and a type of laughter that you only hear outside of meeting full of hope.
Since I was 21, I've always had breakfast with just fresh fruits. Keeps me going till noon and saves me from stomach aches... Around 6 and 7 minutes: My goodness... I'm fuming along with you!! I wonder which CEO can come up with a good reason for THIS!!! Note to self: Go to a museum Steven recommends. Preferably together with Steven. Possibly drool over Dali... I totally agree with you on Mondriaan. Although I like the totally abstract paintings due to the happy primary (?) colours, which are brilliant to recognise your own writing books by at secondary school if you wrap them in the right paper, I don't see what they're "supposed" to depict. His road of development from naturalist to abstract is fascinating. My mum lives in walking distance from his house in Amersfoort, the Netherlands, which is now a gorgeous little museum. I would love to show you around...
Great Video. Advocate for for everyone with the hotel. FYI Mama fell Monday and has a broken wrist. Praise the Lord only a broken wrist in a wrist splint Love your videos. Thanks for the videos Better than News Feeds. Every say a blessing prayer or whatever for .my mother at 94. Steven Periara for the best videos in life.
Hi Steven haven’t been here in a hot a min but so sorry to hear you went through all that to have the alcohol removed. Why some people don’t get that it’s like poison to some. I’ve heard your testimony through the years on becoming sober. I always felt I didn’t have a problem with just having a few margaritas EVERY weekend until you mentioned once about a lady who attended one of your AA meetings and she was there bc she drank weekly not daily but felt it was becoming a problem. Boy was that a wake up call for me. And so September 1st I will start my 9 month of NO alcohol. And as a flight attendant myself, I know you get how tempting it can be but thankfully by Gods grace I’ve been able to remain clean. My father & brother both died young bc of alcohol my nephew suffered health issues at a young age bc of alcohol, I just knew it was not adding anything positive to my life. And I’ll be honest when I have been tempted during my overnights especially after long stressful days of flying, I often think “what would Steven do” ❤. Thank you for your continued commitment to your sobriety as I know it’s touched many lives. All the best to you fly brother. 😘
His answer: "We are a pet friendly hotel." This had me 🤣🤣🤣. But, Steven, you encourage me with your sobriety and seeing how to take a proactive stance to remove what is uncomfortable. I love the spider/snake analogy!
I’m glad you spoke up about the hotel. Im positive it’s not just you who is in recovery while staying in this hotel, so you are doing this for the greater good of everyone.
Random fact Dallas/Fort Worth has the most sculptures of any city in the USA.
The entire situation is outrageous, as well as the unprofessional smart mouth of the front desk clerk. It doesn't speak well for this hotel at all.
That is so incredibly petty of the hotel to charge you anything to remove the alcohol. OMG....what on earth?
A charge to remove something wth I would be pissed too
I didn’t sleep very well last night either I had agita
I'm glad that you called someone with your company and asked a very polite question. No. You definitely were not overreacting. You made the right decision.
I've never heard of a hotel room that comes with booze! In those 4 hours, someone not as strong as you, could have done a lot of damage to themselves!
A snake in the room - went right over his head!! Scary!
I don’t understand why s hotel would charge you $10 to remove alcohol out of a room that makes no sense . Sounds like the airlines needs to drop this hotel.

I would have tried using the analogy that we are allergic to alcohol as alcoholics, would they put you in a room with any other allergic substance.
Hotel is outrageous! All hotels should have an option to be booze free. Art can be so healing - you found some fantastic pieces.
Ben Franklin (1706-1790) invented bifocals, so there must have been eyeglasses before that.
Just spent a week at that hotel.......the whole place was weird. Good BBQ down the street was the saving grace.
Hi Steven. The Natural History Museum used to be quite good. It's more shocking to me that you went to Fort Worth and didn't have amazing BBQ brisket 😊.
Hey, guess what? I finally decided to get a membership at The Met in New York City! I'm hoping to get back there in the Spring.
Hotels like that could easily put ac lock on those fridges in these cases. Problem solved
I really enjoy the museum trips with you and your commentary. ❤

The alcohol removal charge is ridiculous.

I was at the Fort Worth water gardens last week. I walked from the train station. It is very peaceful in the morning.

19:18 oh I've been here about 20 years ago in college. F I'm old
Thanks ❤Mr. Steven for another enjoyable art museum tour! Some really interesting pieces but that Michelangelo wow fascinating 😮
"They look like a bunch of alcoholics" made me laugh
Me too ! Profiling "a❤lcoh😂o😂lics❤❤"

Amersfoort sounds lovely.

Another fantastic video thank you Steven and thank you for making it a little longer video ❤️
A pet friendly hotel… when you talk about a snake in the hotel? 😂😂😂😂
Wow! What an amazing hotel and awesome staff! 😳
His answer: "We are a pet friendly hotel." This had me 🤣🤣🤣.

Fort Worth has so much to do! Hope you enjoyed your time here--the Kimbell, the Modern, the Botanical Gardens, & so much more!
You can relapse if they keep putting out all in your room
