Your aesthetics is not bad at all!
I'm really surprised the tests were as close as they were, considering the GPU pairings. I have a 2700x in my system, but its a placeholder until I can get a 5600x on a decent deal. And I have it paired with a 6700xt. I was surprised with some of my benchmarks, but it makes sense now considering the platform my cpu is on. Great video!

thank you for the eye opener on the new i3s. the comparison was something i needed cuz ive wrote most of those builds off, ill def snag if i see a good price. i do still agree and would still choose the 2700x for the same reasons you did, am4 is such a crazy platform its so hard not to beat.

i3 10100F is several years old now just like 2700X.
And I wouldn't pronuence it a winner based on 1 super old game E-Sports game.
The 3060 makes it a dub automatically. That cpu and gpu combo is a pretty good match.
The 3060 is shit lmao. Comparable to a 5700xt in games, the 12gb version doesn't make up for it.

The build is perfect for my first PC build, the other guy's PC looks better but yours is way better as it has a better graphics card. Nice Video!

*I went with a Ryzen 5600 + 2060S + B550M for £370 & Ryzen 5600 + 5700XT = A520 for £355, didn't look as clean as this though but I was going for profit*
Gonna be honest they both look good and I would be fine with either one. I do have to ask why you didn't go with the r5 3600, seeing as they go for about the same and the ipc improvement will give you better performance. Either way I would go for your system if I was choosing between the two.
Tbh. I just wanted to use the ryzen 7 2700x.
I have a ryzen 5 3600 on hand but I wanted to get rid of this 2700x (in a flip) and then also use it to talk about upgrading to the newer ryzen 7 5800x3d
This build is perfect for me, im glad i found your video as i could'nt go with ZTC's build as it heavily relies on used market.
As someone belonging from a town which has to import most of its non existent silicon chips and a very limited used market, i can see this as a absolute win!
This build also heavily relies on used parts -- at least for the main components. If you want something brand new right off of amazon, at a price point of 500 bucks, you're probably looking at something like a ryzen 5 5500 + 1660 super.
By limited i meant i can't get the OG parts like GTX 1080 or RX 580 even, i could only find the last 3 generations of used Central and almost no radeon in the graphics processors@@sci2089

I would take the 3060 over the 1060 though both budget builds are good, look close enough. Have had both and used both in the past.

2700x paired with 2060super was an awesome era in my life, but i had the opportunity, and got a deal on x570-5800x, my brother using my old config, but he loves it. :D

Total win, when you look at price to performance. Zack always preaches esthetics and price to performance, you got this. Love the looks and the build. Could you have used the Ryzen 5 3600 and still kept the build price the same or close. Keep doing what you do, love the content
Eh,3600 is not much better and 2700X is more versatile.
It's better for content creation than 2700X.
Like video editing and stuff.

I built a near identical system (2700x and 3060 8gb) but in an ITX form factor for a similar price, loving the results!

Instead of 2700x i have 4500 and I have 140-230 fps all of the time withouth any stutters depending where I am on the map
I don't know why I keep watching PC setup(I don't even have one) LOL
The 2700x is actually not fast enough to push the 3060 to it's limit at 1080p, but if I had to choose, i would go for your platform and upgrade along the way
The case that has been used looked similar to the Lian Li Lancool 205m Mesh.
Great build my choice would be an i3 12100f and a h610 mobo at 180$ that can crush any cpu demanding games and it'll not bottleneck with rtx 3060

I think the white GPU gave the win to Zach in the aesthetics department. If you could have scored a white RTX 3060 or perhaps spray painted the shroud then I would have given your PC the win.

ZTT's PC looked good, but if you had enabled the rgb on the 3060 it would have look better in my opinion.
Apex Legends actually has a 300fps limit, I believe you had Vsync enabled.
Good build, for looks; change the ram to white ram and spray paint that gpu white :)
with just ebay and amazon i found (before watching this video) a rtx 3600 i3 12100f a motherboard 256gb ssd 1tb hdd it went a bit over $500 about $530
just watched zacks response to this, and his pc is better ahahahah
i suggest spending a few extra dollars on the ryzen 7 3700x it has the extra L3 cache needed to support windows 11 without having to jump through some hoops
unless they changed the minimum requirements, you need at least 32mb L3 cache
i recently upgraded from a 1700x, it has 16mb of L3 cache just like the 2700x, but it still ran windows 11 fine, it just bothered me
initially when i was installing windows 11 it stopped me and said that i didnt meet the requirements, so i couldnt install it the normal way

I have a Ryzen 7 5800x with an Amd Rx 7900xt and an Ausu Rog Strix B550 A Gaming Motherboard With 32 Gb Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO black.
The reason why your scores weren't blowing out the 1060 like it should is because the 2700x is holding back the 3060. to put it in perspective, the 3060 is on average 84% faster the 1060. This is not a good gpu/cpu pairing, especially at 1080p when completive settings in esport titles.

For Fortnite pro settings, you should have the anti-aliasing to off then you'll get more fps
How did you sync the cpu cooler's rgb with the button on the case?

If you whould have spray coloured the backplate and plastic part of the GPU. Then your would have looked perfect.

i absolutely love this build. you should try make a ultra budget build with a i7 2600 and gtx 1060 6gb. ive been able to snag some i7 2600 for 15-30 pounds and the gtx 1060 6gb i was able to get for £80. so its a really valid £110 cpu gpu bundle

for Fortnite he was using performance mode which doesn't take any power at all, I have a i7 7700 and Gtx 1070 and it gets 200fps on performance
you can disable fps cap.

Yeah. You could get a stronger gpu too but the 1080ti is perfect for 1080ti max settings and even 1440p

Fortnite pro settings is performance mode on lowest everything except render distance and even then that could be turned down.
