www.driesketels.com/Artist-Residency You are only as good as the average of your 5 best friends. If you surround yourself with like minded people that make money from their art you dramatically increase your own bank account. You need a community of business focused artists. Check out my online artist residency and start to feel understood and valued by like minded artists.
You have such an intense, insane way of communicating your point and are easily the best person I’ve found talking about this kind of stuff. Very persuasive, very honest, very straightforward. Keep up the good job man.
This video did it for me, I'm going to sell my artwork. I've had the stupid fear for 3 years and now I'm going to kick it out the door. I'm disabled and it got so bad that I stopped painting for over a year. Now I'm getting better and off pain killers and have my head out of my ass. Thank you Dries, you have helped this GenX woman get things started!!❤❤❤
New subscriber, thank you for inspiring us! It IS about the Art, and the ability to create something enduring. It's THE treasure and gold mine within us unearthed by our artistic intuition & by taking action. Money alone can't create Art, but Art can create something priceless. It's the formation of a new creation made of soul, heart & our highest mind. When we follow our talents wherever they lead, we arrive at our destination of destiny. ✴
Currently working on my first piece in many ..many years. Ive had a “awakening “ I believe I’m a wealthy artist , love and abundance just flows to me ! My friends think I’ve lost the plot 😅 You are a very inspiring human so glad I found you , you have opened an access portal for me to achieve this! Your authenticity is pure xx Love and light from the U.K 🇬🇧❤
Hehe I have gone many times to pick my son up at school with my hands dirty with paint and paint spots in my sweater because I was running out of time to pick him up on time and I didn’t mind, honestly! Haha the thing I fear the most is to feel discouraged after failing to sell my art
❤ my biggest fear is packaging up my large paintings to send off to the buyers . It is hard work and time consuming & costly . Then booking a courier to come and collect .
Holy crap! I LOVE this!! You talk the way I talk about dumb f@*#s and such... it gets me in a lot of trouble, hee hee! Keep it up! I'm learning so much from you. This made my day!
awesome! great info.... thankyou...., fear is within the mind. we all have it at some point- the worst part is someone you respect' commenting and saying 'that's not art'... this has put me off somewhat, however coming to realize this person is quite full of themselves, and always thinks he knows best over everyone's opinions. just needing to get his comment out of my memory. Because I've had numbers of other people who love my art!
Ketels´s videos really struck a chord with me! As an aspiring artist, I've often found myself trapped in that cycle of creating but hesitating to share my work with the world. The concept of 'figurative fearing' perfectly encapsulates the irrational fears that hold us back, and it's reassuring to know that I'm not alone in facing these challenges. The anecdotes shared here, especially about J. Paul Getty's journey, serve as powerful reminders that it's never too late to pursue your true passion. Thank you for this empowering message-I feel inspired to break free from my hesitations and start sharing my art confidently. Here's to embracing our creativity and letting our work shine! 🎨✨

Nobody’s worried about your sweater, they’re too worried about their own.

The organization skills of an artist I see :)
@@driesketels Ha thats funny. I'm going to use that every time I do something scatterbrain. "I'm an artist" enough said.
Hahaha, I had exactly the same situation so many times...
How did you know I needed to hear this today?❤ Thank you for your encouragement, you’re awesome.
Aha this is the best advice I have ever heard. I really like the way you communicate your enthusiasm and your humour

That's it
Gofund me for a new chair. Who's with me?
hahahahaha XD
Wow. That was something.
Artists are thieves. Therefore, I choose to keep mine away.
Billonaires are thieves.
I choose to keep away.
No regret
Never had much anxiety. Do have a whole bunch of new resentment though. LOL
