In this video, i'm going to review the Dr. Marten's 1461. This is a good video to watch before you buy doc martens because i'll share everything you need to know like where to buy, style, quality, and fit. I've owned the Dr. Martens 1460 for 10 years and i'm so excited to now have the Dr. Martens 1461. Whatever style you choose to buy, i think Dr Martens (or many people refer to them as Doc Martens ) are such a classic and a must have in any wardrobe. If this is your first time owning a pair of Dr. Martens, I'm SO excited for you and I'm happy to be sharing everything i know about Dr. Martens so you can get the inside scoop before you buy.

Honestly I think you're gonna have a better use for the 1461 Dr. Martens than the Prada ones. I think they go with more outfits than the other, and they are prettier (in my opinion!)

i do too ! i like the attitude of the bex 1461. i have the same shoes and they work with everything. the prada shoes are cool but they’re a bit too much and and i’m not a fan of the extra square things

My favorites are the Jadon and Oxfords they are very similar to the bex just more of a platform and cushion on the ankle and more eyeholes :)

I've been wearing these shoes for over 2 weeks now, daily. They have gotten a bit more flexible but it's a catastrophe around the ankles. I've bled through like 3 socks by now and even bandages aren't that much of a help. But other than that they are really cute so 10/10.
Wow! Sounds painful! I would suggest wearing it for a shorter amount of time or when you know you're not walking too much. I hope they soften up soon!
@@actuallyXanh I try to wear them for like half an hour a day max. Basically to the store (10-15 mins) and back. But sheesh the moment I step on a stone or uneven pavement my ankles feel the leather literally digging into the skin. I'll probably wear 2 pairs of socks with these for the following month.

MrQuackism that’s what I love about dr. Martens. They never go out of style and I keep them for years!
For my break in a wore them around the house, hair dryer (not the super hot setting), and fluffy socks, then as soon as I was now comfortable I would take them on a walk to get the mail, and soon I was wearing docs to school and being taller then all of my enemies >:DDD
My parents got me the less platformed ones today (they were the only ones available in store) and I’m gonna wear them for a school pictorial tomorrow!
I really like them and ill buy one after my entrance exam success 🤧 but I don't like big sole ill buy the same style but with a thinner sole.

I Just got a pair of these and I love them. I have worn them with a mini skirt and knee high socks, which looked adorable. I also have been wearing them with black skinny jeans and a black or white shirt, and pretty much any dress that I would have worn my Doc Marten Boots with.
I’ve had these for 35 yrs before one of the sole started to detach from the shoe.. about time to get myself another pair! 🥴😉

i went with dr. scholls'(the guys making the insoles) Harrington II, which has a similar silhouette while also being built for comfortability. they're still a bit uncomfortable because of the leather, but I walked around in them for 2 hours+ straight, and didnt experience any bleeding or blistering.
I just got my jadon ll star last month.Luckily, I sized down from US7 to US 6. As if, I'm still wearing US 7 even it's already US6. I can still wesr thick socks with them. I bought it from Zalora.

I really love the Made in England 1461 in oxblood. Unluckily they cost 209€. But they look gorgeous. I also love the Levis 501.
For 78€ I found a pair of Made in England 1461 nubuck oxfords.
I learned a great way to break them in from a dr marten employee. The trick is to rub their wonder balm to all the places that are to stiff inside of the shoes. This will make the leather softer and easier to break in! :)

i used to buy doc martens, have oxblood and black tall made in england one 14 holes...but then i bougt frmo solovair and its a whole new experience. Solovair is far superior and its cheaper. Solovair is the original doc martens factory, they sold their "brand" but kept the factory with another name...so i completely recommend solovair if u are looking for good quality and fit as opposed to a racognizable brand.

try using a insole or heel insert for your shoes. It usually makes them feel a little tighter. Check out the brand Dr. Scholls for shoe inserts!

Bought my 1490 mid calf boots and i love them. Been wearing my doc shoes for a while now before the boots and was sold on them.
I bought the 8053 Platform ones. But I don’t know what kind of socks to wear and from where to buy them. Like cute socks. Because I just wear like black or white Nike socks since I usually wear sneakers.
White Nike socks look great. But if you want fun socks, try Stance socks. They are really comfy and they have so many cute colors and patterns
h&m has cool socks, especially in the men’s section!
ok so, im looking into dress shoes (for school) this year, and basically we just need to have black shoes, not flashy, and looks formal (we are a uniform school) AND the limit for the length of the sole is around a half inch. today we've looked EVERYWHERE locally for shoes, and honestly we havent found a lot of decent options in like around 4 hours maybe of strolling around trying to find shoes. however, we looked into these, and i am honestly considering these, and i just wanted to hear your opinion on it for this purpose :D . i dont know if its worth it or not because these are gonna have to last me more than a year, and that is really NOT what im concerned with, longevity is probably easily more than 2 years with docs, some last WAY more with the right treatment! however, im still growing, so its the opposite. why would i spend more than 130 dollars (canadian) to buy shoes that im going to grow out of by the end of the year? (jsyk though, my parents pretty much have a very low budget with school shoes, as they're not really for running, just indoor use) anyway if you have time, just tell me your opinion... is this shoe a good choice on a budget?

A R L E R T if you are buying these low dr. Martens then get one size smaller. I would get a size 6 in this style.

Yes! This is the smooth! I just bought the 8053 and they are similar with a thick sole. They are a mix between the jadon and the 1461 and I LOVE THEM. I will do a review soon so suscribe to my channel so you dont miss out on the new review!

I have three pair…. My favorite and oldest pair are the brown oily 1460 boots that are 27 years old. They look almost amazing and they are like wearing socks.
I am going to buy the fourth pair…. And I am so super excited. I have never bought a shoe before, only a boots. This time I am buying the white Mary Janes with the buckles on the side.

Pelinsu Hazer I would size down with the 1461 because they slip off your feet if they are too big. My 1460 is slightly bigger and it was okay because they are high on the ankle.

i actually sized up bc i’m a 6.5 and i bought a 7, they can feel a little tight at first but they stretch out and getting bigger so it could be smarter depending on what you want.

Why is no one talking about the price range? In US, they cost 130$, which is equivalent to almost 3000 crowns here in Czech republic. If we want to buy these, most stores here, and even the official Dr. Martens shop, sell them for almost twice the price. Sometimes more than 5000 crowns - 230 dollars.
And we don´t have the variety!

I'm a 7.5 in all shoes and the 7 fit perfectly. not tight at all. so sizing up wouldn't work

these things shred the skin on my achilles tendon to pieces, anyone else run into this problem?
Ive tried insoles, moleskin patches on the back end of the shoe where the leather scrapes my skin.

I got these but my heels keep slipping. Any advice? I already bought 1,5 sizes lower than I usually do and they fit perfectly everywehere, even on the heel. It only slips once I bend my toes if ykwIm. It might have something to do with the fact that they are so chunky and not broken in yet but I feel so alone with this issue rn ;-;
ayo so sorry to bother you on this random comment but have you figured out a solution to the Docs heel slipping problem? 😭i tried them on in store and had that same problem! i couldnt get it smaller, my size was already fitting perfectly EXCEPT For my heels slipping. i assume its a mix of the shoe simply not being broken in and also the sole being brand new and just crazy hard. i diddnt pick them up that day but im still not over them and REALLY want them

what is the difference between 1461 bex and 1461 quad??? im willing to know frfr
The normal one has normal soles, bex has chunky soles and quad is basically like platform shoes and the soles are chunkier and higher than the bex.

I understand people like these prada shoes, but Dr martens is Dr martens even after 5 years, 10 years 20 years.
But those prada shoes after 3 or 5 years, when people recognise that is just an old outdate model of prada shoes.
