I've owned the Tab s7 Plus 5G version for over a month and am loving it. We have no fast internet options in our rural location, so the 5G is awesome for streaming video and online gaming such as Fortnite or XBox Game Pass. But samsung in the last few years has followed apples lead removing one convenience feature after the other , headphone jack , sd card , and then following up with no accessories in the box with the phones .... just like apple , and that was the straw that broke the camels back for me , if samsung is going to be apple , i might as well cut out the middle man and buy apple stuff .. REALLY lame question, but since you have the keyboard and bluetooth mouse, have you tested if these work in games such as Fortnite? I have an XBox elite controller for my S7+ and would prefer keyboard/mouse for easier aiming but have heard Fortnite possibly doesn't support this for mobile yet. I can't find anyone who can confirm or refute this though.
I think that's a really good question. I don't play fortnite so I have not been able to play (and for PUBG I can't use a controller). I'll let you know if I get a chance to check it out.
Can you do a long term review of all the cons you may have found after using it a while and your thoughts on it now Tech Gear Talk? Can you do a video on the best cheaper alternatives to the samsung accessories including the Samsung charger and the best power bank for it? My boyfriend is planning on buying one for us and I wanna know the best accessories for it and everything like that. I really love your channel even though I just found it hours ago.
For UA-cam, did you request the desktop site from the website's settings as well as the browser settings? Once I did that, everything started displaying correctly
On the Samsung browser it did not work, but on Chrome, it did. Meaning, in Chrome, if I went to settings and then selected DESKTOP WEBSITE it actually showed it. Hope that makes sense. You can see it in the S7 review I published on Monday. Thanks for checking in!
Loved the specs on this one and got the 5g s7plus and hoping to be able to put in my SIM card and use it on the go. Found it used in excellent condition online for 223$
You just got another subscriber here! Great review! I just have one question - I've heard stories about screen burn on AMOLED screens..I was wondering if i should be worried about that on the s7+ as im sure, AMOLED tech should be much better now? Have you had any issues? Or any tips on screen burns. Thanks! :)
I bought an ipad Pro 2020 last year and have never got on with it. After watching some videos on the s7+ including a couple of yours, I'm convinced the Samsung is what I should have bought..... off to amazon.
I chose Galaxy Tab S7 over the S7 plus because the S7 is 18% lighter, 9% faster, battery lasts 40% longer, it's easier to carry, and the display on S7 is so good the difference is almost unnoticeable unless you watch movies alot.
I got the s8. It's already big enough. I wish they made a smaller version because it's kinda heavy. The plus and ultra are too big imo. That would be nice if the s9 has the pen slide into the device like the note phones. It's just in the way on the back and I never use it anyways.
I want to get it, but I'm concerned about 2 things: Battery Life and Updates. iPad Pro 12" seems to get both MUCH better Standby and Screen-on runtimes compared to the Galaxy Tab S7+, according to Notebookcheck, the most credible review site online. Also, Android apps and system seems to have worse battery optimization and ram management than iPadOS, with issues like power draining and apps closing in background. Full-feature updates are only 2 years on Galaxy Tab vs 6 on the iPads which wouldn't be an issue, except many Android apps, only work on certain versions of Android, so future longevity might be limited and backwards compatibility won't be good when you upgrade to a new Android Tablet 6 years later.
Great review, like always! Thanks a lot! Just one thing; u forgot to mention, when the tablet one the table with the cover, it is not straight. If somebody want to take a note with it in vertical position, it is a little strange. U can see also in the video.
That's a good point about the cover. I was usually in horizontal position so I liked the added height, but I can totally see what you mean. Appreciate you!
@@PrinceMascara also performance 3-5 yrs from now is uncertain, i want to get the s7 plus but i dont know if it will last me from hs through college software wise. However I know apple will keep their ipads updated
Great tablet but NOT GOOD for note taking. I have been using for 6 months now for class. The s-pen and the actual marking in the screen is slightly misaligned at the edges and there's no way to calibrate it with the latest OS. The misalignment is not an issue in normal use,but if you write something near the edge then it's difficult to wrote neatly.
Hey! First time discovering your channel and I'm loving the content - especially since I'm trying to decide whether to buy an iPad Pro or the Samsung Galaxy S7+ Question: I heard that the keyboard accessory to the S7+ is NOT magnetic - so it's actually kind of flimsy when it's closed. Is this true? What are your experiences with it?
I just bought the S7. It is such a big tablet and wasn't meant for casual use at the end of the night. A lot for your money and comes with the pen. Happy with it, but not used to the big size. Went from 8" to 11". Going to give it a bit and might swap it for the iPad mini 5.
@@TechGearTalk I am keeping it. The battery life and little usability features like dex I have been able to use with school and edit my writings has been good. There is some slow downs with third party apps and you can tell they are not utilizing the 120hz refresh rate, but besides from that I changed my habits with the device and made it work. For $300 I can’t and won’t complain for all the value I am getting. Hopefully it’ll last five years like an iPad. It might even break me out of the Apple Ecosystem and have me upgrade to an S21 or OnePlus 9 within the coming months from my Xr.
The Tab S7+ is The Best Tablet I Have Ever Used. It is The Best Device for Some Work, Gaming, and to Consume Media. The Tab S7 is Smaller but Almost Just as Great as The Tab S7+. Samsung Has Made The 3 Best Android Tablets Ever with The Tab S7+, The Tab S7, and The Tab S6. I Can't Wait for The Tab S8 Ultra.
Great video and because I'm Android user I'm very happy I can see on Your channel Android device and of course waiting for more including mobile devices 😊👍 just only one small issue You didn't mention Samsung DEX is designed more to use with external monitor to use tablet or mobile phone like a PC 😁and can You pls compare Ipad and Samsung using Lightroom and Photoshop and edit some pictures ? I just wonder is it really much better on Ipad like many people said 🤷
Great Review! I'm glad you looked at these. They are the only serious alternative iPads, and they do better than Apple in some areas, as you pointed out. I Do wish they would have given the S7 some of the same specs as the S7+, like the screen. I always wished that the made one just a little smaller, i'd like that for my Drone controller. I'll look forward to your review of the S7. I hope Samsung continues down this road. I have had a few of their previous tabs, and while they are "ok", they were clearly deficient compared to Apple. But these two are game changers. I hope they expand the line a bit. Samsung has SO amazed me over the last several years. before 2K, they were a lower-end brand, now they are top tier in so many ways...Great job, Great review!
Appreciate the feedback David. I wish the s7 has the same display as well. It’s still very good but would have really stepped it up. Tomorrow’s video will touch on the iPad Pro and the s7+ 🤫
This left me even more indecisive than the last video! 😂🤦♀️🤷♀️ You're great tho! Is the S7 keyboard the same quality as the 7+? I know the Fn keys are different but how's the touchpad?
Hi, congratulations on the video! I wanted to ask if you too had noticed the screen getting uncomfortably hot during use at the sides of the screen (near the camera and the magnetic keyboard connectors). Thanks in advance :)
Good review mate, I have an ipad air 4 and I'm pretty happy with it for my use , one thing that did occur to me though when using the apple pencil was that I missed the air command function that the stylus on my galaxy note phone has . I'm not familiar with the galaxy tablets , but I'm guessing they would also have air command function ? you don't realise how handy it is until you don't have it.
Thanks for the in depth review Sagi, This video along with your comparison videos were a huge part of me deciding on the S7+! I went with the 512gb version for the added ram and knowing I'd have the maximum amount of storage available. I have been paying the apple premium since 2011 and i've decided to branch out and see what android has to offer, the last android device I had was the HTC EVO. I really don't like the fact that Apple charges sooo much for a phone that's so behind in tech, Not to mention that for some reason every iPhone I've owned has had some sort of problems. My S7+ will be here tuesday and I've got the keyboard and the screen protector you recommended otw with it. Cheers Sagi!
@Al 6r As of now, I am still using my iPhone 11 Pro Max. I do plan to transition to Samsung and this years Galaxy S22 Ultra was very tempting but I decided to hold off for next years model to see if they bring back the extra memory slot. It’s also a little more difficult decision since my wife and kids all have iPhones, Native apps such as FaceTime, iMessage and find my iPhone are nice to have. The Galaxy Tab S7+ definitely has the best screen I’ve ever seen on a tablet, even when compared to the iPad Pro. The new Tab S8 Ultra is even better, and it’s bigger as well! If your family is all using Apple devices it definitely can muddy the decision a little, but I am definitely still leaning towards going all Samsung. Like I mentioned earlier, they removed the memory slot so I am hoping they bring that back next year. For now, I’m just staying on the sideline.
Please scribble something in any application then turn off the display and inspect the screen carefully. Can you see the markings? But they can be wiped off. Doesn't happen on my Tab A10.1 with S pen.
I don’t understand the differences with the Samsung S7+. The three storage capacity sizes, do these have the same processor . Keep it fairly simple please I’m not a tech guy.
I had the air 4 for almost 2 weeks, but just went with the s7 because the plus is 200 more dollars just for the amoled screen. Which the s7 had a good lcd screen as well.. it's easier for me cause I'm used to the android eco system. ❤️ But love you're videos man!
Trust me its the best im actually doing alot of stuff with it then i did with my pc im studying with it gaming and even coding with ubuntu 20.04 although 64× software and apps don't work but its awesome i wish u can give us a way to load windows 10 ARM on this tablet id appreciate it alot great video btw 🌟
Samsung needs their own Tab OS based on Android to differentiate it from mobile Android experience. The S-pen should have a clamp which can help it to put in shirt pocket like normal writing pens.

Iam wondering if the 7+ might be fast enough for a full lightroom workflow cause there's a lot of videos about the iPad for lightroom cc (obviously Adobe optimized LR for iOS) but none for the S7+
I would have gone with this tablet if it wasn't for the Android tablet app support. Apps just aren't optimized for tablets in the Android space. Also, the fact that DeX isn't really that finished as there's a lot of app crashing or apps opening in tiny windows (As I experienced it on DeX on my Galaxy S9). The only thing I would use an Android tablet for is for media and games but not much else whereas with an iPad/Surface/ChromeOS tablet, I could confidently replace my windows PC, especially with an iPad. The problem is with Android and not with the tablet.
I know its not everyones cup of tea , but i kinda liked the dex , my pc died around the time the galaxy S8 was released , i used the dex via my S8+ entirely as my home computer for 1.5 years and grew to love it , i had the dex stand with a usb hub , a wired illuminated keyboard and wired mouse and widescreen monitor , i had the option of using the monitor speakers , the speaker on my S8+ which came out surprisingly decent being re routed through the air vents in the stand , or i could use bluetooth speakers . Early on the dex was very primitive and buggy , after a bunch of updates it became pretty decent in my use , i used chrome a lot , sometimes i would use samsungs software , if something did not work or function i could usually do a work around between the two os. I loved the fact you could use your phone all day gathering data , photo`s ,video`s ,emails ,messages , (even make phone calls through it) , and when you got home just slot it into the stand and 20 seconds later it was all on the screen ready to go . And funnily enough my little S8+ running dex crashed way less/hardly ever than windows on my proper pc , seriously , i could count the times on one hand i had a crash problem with dex and my S8+ :) , but yes i get it that some app software just does not work as it should , most of the basic stuff seems ok though .. I was very happy to keep using it as my home computer for my use(and mine no doubt differs to yours ) , but one day my brother an IT guy bought me home a new computer without asking ....... i couldnt very well tell him to stick it up his jumper :) , so i`m back on the pc .. I have an ipad too , it is pretty good overall , at times though i do notice even the ipad does lack some android features , i would love to have hardware from the best of both platforms , but it becomes an expensive proposition sadly . An iphone pro max 256 gb , and an ipad air 4 with an apple pencil and magic keyboard with bits and pieces in my country would not have had much change out of 4 grand. Enjoy your ipad mate ;) .
@@mikldude9376 I’m not saying that DeX is trash and shouldn’t be used but that it’s fine for most tasks. It’s just Android App Support for Tablets. Take the Twitter app for example, in DeX, it opens as a mobile app, or it doesn’t adapt to a mouse and keyboard, on phone it’s fine, but as a normal tablet app (or non-DeX) it opens as a stretched mobile app. Desktop version on Android is fine. Although DeX is really cool compared to iPadOS and offers better multitasking, it’s just Android app developers that are holding it back by not making a tablet optimised app. (Cough cough Instagram cough cough). Some apps open in portrait only and is really frustrating (according to what I’ve seen in DeX videos) although it can be fixed by an app from the store. DeX from phones is cool af. The thought that my phone is also my PC (if I wanted) is really awesome. It’s also really budget friendly. The hardware of the devices is really good, it’s just software that holds it back. DeX is really similar to a chromeOS device. Desktop stuff with android apps. Also you don’t need a Mac to get into the Apple Ecosystem. An iPad and iPhone is just fine.
I would do surface pro 7 which is faster then the surface pro x , if not that the next best is the tab s7 only if you like to play emulation or you are a heavy download person , but the iPad Pro is better . I have had all 4 you mentioned and but I do use my tab s7 the most because it has firestick apps and game emulation
@@NSpiritNTruth I never really thought of game emulation, but that sounds pretty nice! Besides games which one seemed like a nice balance of good productivity work and fun when you needed it, like streaming content? I’m hesitant on the iPad Pro. My wife has the iPad Air and loves it.
@@Aeonikst8 that would overall be The tab s7 .. it does more things ... but the iPad does less things but with more Fluidity and convenience . The iPad has a better camera . Better pen writing . The value won’t decrease as quick as the tab s7 . The one stand out thing I can say for the tab s7 is dex mode . Which adds that laptop looking feel

@@joethenoob thanks, appreciate the help, i think i go for the s7, the price is really good. I germany we pay around 800$ for the air 4 with the pen. I think the s7 is a better value. I was scared the Screen is much worse then the s7+ Oled one.
It's smaller, has no face recognition, no in-screen fingerprint sensor (it's on the power button), the display is not as nice (I'll do a comparison). But it's a very nice tablet as a standalone product.

EDIT: 04:22 10,090mAh battery, not 1090 🤣😂 (thanks Julian)
Would this be great for podcasting and stock trading? Or should I go for iPad Air?
Or even wait for the Samsung launch?
My Tab S7 Plus is coming tomorrow. So I am admiring while it's coming to me 😅
I just got a brand new 518gb s7+ for $500 last week. I love this tablet, nothing beats it at the price I got it at.

Omg! Where did you order it from?

One of the best function is to use it as a wireless second screen for Windows laptop.
Appreciate you sharing Bill! Thanks for being part of the channel!
@@TechGearTalk Desktop Mode works flawlessly on Samsung Browser for everyone I talk to.
You are clearly doing something wrong.
Thanks! :)
Correction: In the video, it is stated that the Tab S7+ has a 1090 mAh battery whereas the correct battery capacity is 10090 mAh.
Tab S7 is already large. I found the size to be more manageable. I don't use it as a notebook so it's big enough.
personal user experience is so important. Good move!
The best s7 plus tab review yet. Kudos mate.
Oh wow - thank you so much 🙏🏻
Thank you for the 4K videos. Really appreciate this
You're very welcome. Thank you for watching and for being part of the channel!
Thanks...glad i made the right decision today
3 years in and my tab S7plus is still super. I am at my 3rd year Construction, and it's easy to make,e notes
I got the s8. It's already big enough. I wish they made a smaller version because it's kinda heavy. The plus and ultra are too big imo. That would be nice if the s9 has the pen slide into the device like the note phones. It's just in the way on the back and I never use it anyways.
1090 mAh battery?? Isnt a 10,000 mAh battery? If it was a thousand it would die after 45 min.
Very thorough review though. Liked it a lot
I like how you review in a calm and composed manner...a detailed review which covered every aspect...thanks mate
Ordered one today :) ... ((ipad pro 2018 user))
Can S7+ last for 5 years?? Or i should consider buying iPad air 4 ?
Great Review 💪 I will test my S7+ coming weekend. 😎
@@TechGearTalk Thank u! I also appreciate you and your work! It helps a lot! Really! 👍🏻
I really like this tablet but i like IOS more. So feel free to say im sucked into the apple ecosystem 🙂
I like IOS because of the more apps options tbh..
I think that makes complete sense.
I have the s7 plus and will be getting the new iPad Pro later this month. iPad OS is just better!
the only reason why I opted for apple ecosystem. I love samsung and their technology, but the software is lacking
I have a question. how much does your battery drain over night (standby) ? my s7 loses 2-3 percent.
Tab S7+ and using WPS office instead of Microsoft Office...
With foldable keyboard....
everything is really nice to me....
Hey! First time discovering your channel and I'm loving the content - especially since I'm trying to decide whether to buy an iPad Pro or the Samsung Galaxy S7+
Question: I heard that the keyboard accessory to the S7+ is NOT magnetic - so it's actually kind of flimsy when it's closed. Is this true? What are your experiences with it?
What did you end up buying?
I just bought the S7. It is such a big tablet and wasn't meant for casual use at the end of the night. A lot for your money and comes with the pen. Happy with it, but not used to the big size. Went from 8" to 11". Going to give it a bit and might swap it for the iPad mini 5.
Let me know what you end up doing!
Will the 6 RAM version cover games & DeX? Thanks!
Can you do an android useful apps video, or a tips video for this tablet?
The Tab S7+ is The Best Tablet I Have Ever Used. It is The Best Device for Some Work, Gaming, and to Consume Media. The Tab S7 is Smaller but Almost Just as Great as The Tab S7+. Samsung Has Made The 3 Best Android Tablets Ever with The Tab S7+, The Tab S7, and The Tab S6. I Can't Wait for The Tab S8 Ultra.
Thanks for this review!! I've been waiting for one. Detailed as always. 💓😊

I just wonder is it really much better on Ipad like many people said 🤷
So glad to have you as part of the channel. I'll play around with both and do an update.
Does the big size of s7+ cause user inconvienience? Also which is better for note taking?
This left me even more indecisive than the last video! 😂🤦♀️🤷♀️ You're great tho! Is the S7 keyboard the same quality as the 7+? I know the Fn keys are different but how's the touchpad?
Yes, it's the same quality for the keys and touchpad.
Hi, congratulations on the video!
I wanted to ask if you too had noticed the screen getting uncomfortably hot during use at the sides of the screen (near the camera and the magnetic keyboard connectors).
Thanks in advance :)
Thank you very much for your review.
Did you make this review with One UI3.1 or older?
Thanks so much. Should be 3.1.

Thank you! Yes, there are air commands on the tablets with the S Pen
Yes, they have it! I love the Galaxy Tabs so much! iPads are my 2nd choice for tablets, they are good too, although iPadOS is so limited.
Have things improved with the apps?
Hey Techgear talk, what do you think of ipad.7 generation?
I think it’s a good value device. Of course depends on your needs and budget.
Still worth buying in 2023 ?...current rate for wifi only version is $ 580
I have a question, if i have the keyboard always plugged in will it drain the battery or only when used?
TAB S7 I AM using and biggest problem is the apps are optimised for mobile not for tablet
I don’t understand the differences with the Samsung S7+. The three storage capacity sizes, do these have the same processor . Keep it fairly simple please I’m not a tech guy.
Should i buy the tab s8 or the tab s7+.
I dont know which one i should buy.
I had the air 4 for almost 2 weeks, but just went with the s7 because the plus is 200 more dollars just for the amoled screen. Which the s7 had a good lcd screen as well.. it's easier for me cause I'm used to the android eco system. ❤️ But love you're videos man!
Makes sense as it's part of your existing system!
Hi!!! Would you recommend wait for the release of tabs8 and purchase the tab s7+ with a better price?? Thanks 😊
Still worth buying in November 2023? Worth 400$ today?
I’d say so. Screen and just the processor its using
Trust me its the best im actually doing alot of stuff with it then i did with my pc im studying with it gaming and even coding with ubuntu 20.04 although 64× software and apps don't work but its awesome i wish u can give us a way to load windows 10 ARM on this tablet id appreciate it alot great video btw 🌟
Samsung needs their own Tab OS based on Android to differentiate it from mobile Android experience. The S-pen should have a clamp which can help it to put in shirt pocket like normal writing pens.
Did you your tab s7+ come preloaded with one ui 3.1?

@@TechGearTalk the wireless dex, the second screen from a windows laptop, coming from the Tab S2. I am heavily satisfied.
Good assessment!
And funnily enough my little S8+ running dex crashed way less/hardly ever than windows on my proper pc , seriously , i could count the times on one hand i had a crash problem with dex and my S8+ :) , but yes i get it that some app software just does not work as it should ,
most of the basic stuff seems ok though ..
I was very happy to keep using it as my home computer for my use(and mine no doubt differs to yours ) , but one day my brother an IT guy bought me home a new computer without asking ....... i couldnt very well tell him to stick it up his jumper :) , so i`m back on the pc ..
I have an ipad too , it is pretty good overall , at times though i do notice even the ipad does lack some android features , i would love to have hardware from the best of both platforms ,
but it becomes an expensive proposition sadly .
An iPad and iPhone is just fine.
ahhhh how ddi you connect your mouse as well as your keyboard to your Samsung s7+ ... i keep getting this Bluetooth error something like input etc
Tab S7plus , IPad Pro, surface pro x, or 2n1 laptop. I can’t decide 😔😔.
