I do believe my reaction to hearing Chris for the first time was much like yours. The blues sound sprinkled with country and rock is a perfect fit for his vocals and guitar work. And to think this dude was behind the scenes was a song writer!!! We would have missed out on his magic
Chris has won 10 Academy of Country Music Awards from 2016 to 2022 and he has 3 pending this year. He's won 12 American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers awards, winning every single time he was nominated from 2006 to 2022. He's won 5 Billboard Music awards from 2016 to 2018. He's won 15 Country Music Association Awards from 2015 to 2022. And he's won 8 Grammys from 2016 to 2022. All of his albums from 2015 on have gone Platinum or Multi-Platinum. He's had 13 Platinum singles since 2015 with Tennessee Whiskey going Diamond (14x Platinum). He's pretty big and very well known at this point.
One of the best song writers around. One of the best voices around. And can play the guitar like that? I would say that it isn't even fair, but he seems like such a good guy that it actually does seem fair this time.
MMB, you turned me on to Chris. I was never a huge Country fan, but his combination of Blues/Rock and raw emotion is awesome. Chris forces you listen to his lyrics, while he hits you with his unexpected vocal twists. I didn't think MMB could "run out of the room" from that comfy-chair, but I get why you got the cereal. Chris's guitar was totally unexpected, so raw and emotional, and yet shockingly experimental. Thanks for making me watch this! Maybe the best Chris so far?
I have 2 songs to react to next from Chris Stapleton …”Death Row” and “A man’s world” both definitely a must listen if you love the sound of a hardcore blues vocalist.
Really enjoying Chris' great modern Blues and Blues-Rock, seeing him spilling his guts on the stage. Also a big Janis Joplin fan, and I really loved seeing all your reactions to her (several months ago). If you want to dip back into classic 1960's Blues-Rock, react to Joe Cocker's "Little Help From My Friends" at Woodstock. Many consider Cocker the best Woodstock performance (1969), and Janis "Ball & Chain" was best at Monterey Pop (1967). Joe sings right out of his shoes too!
Hes been pickin' guitar since he was 6 years old and singin' since he was 10 year's old. His Uncle taught him how to play guitar and his brother taughter em how to sing.
Idk what it is....maybe Chris remind me of the old days when MEN sang R&B n blues type tunes. Marvin, Peabo, Luther, Barry, Al Green and on n on...just an idea. He's a generational talent. When someone sounds better live than the album?...he's lighting it up. Great reaction bro
Great reaction! I lean more toward Albert King similarities, although not as fast a player. I loved Stevie’s vocals as well, however, this guy can sing EVERY genre and has done so! Generational!
Chris is a true artist. I first saw him when he sang and played with the bluegrass band "Steeldrivers" then rocked it with the Jompson Brothers. Even THEN, I knew this guy was eat up with talent across the board...I look forward to more reactions of Chris.
I stand by what ive always said Chris is his own genre. But does it really matter what box we try to put him in he wouldnt always fit 😂😂😂it breaks my brain watching you grabbing your ceral dancing with it having a meltdown. Bet you wont forget that solo !!!!😊 Being compare to SRV is not an insult 😅
Chris Stapleton came to Salt Lake City last summer, it cost $250 just to sit in the grass to hear him. This was in an outdoor open air clamshell type arena. I seriously wanted to go!!
Not sure if you've done any reactions to Teddy swims but his latest single is called lose control and it will make you lose control😅😅😅😅 also any of his covers are phenomenal😊😊😊😊
Stevie Ray Vaughn was one of his favorites 2. Just wasn't mentioned. He won 8 grammy's so far. It ain't over yet that's scary. He alway's sells out no matter where he goes. Check out Maggie's Song. Great Song. True Story. 👍 he's Awesome 👌 👏 his wife can sing her ass off 2. Her name is Morgean.
If you like the blues I'm going to give you a heads up on a amazing group called The teskey Brothers they're from Australia and some recommendations are rain pain and misery all caught up and say you'll do that will start you off and you will not be disappointed😊😊😊😊😊
Too much talent. SRV had a good voice and was a better guitar player of course, but... Stapleton can play his ass off and his voice is just inimitable. I'd love it if Chris covered some SRV shit, actually. I dunno. I tend to think EVERYTHING is pretty awesome in context.

I adore anything from Chris. Ive seen him twice live and he is just as amazing in concert
Our new CMA Entertainer of the Year!!!❤❤❤

Agreed! He’s phenomenal & the topper is he’s a very humble & kind soul. Much love my friend ❤

It aint the blues, rnb, soul or country! Just simply Chris Stapleton. He got us all covered!
Underrated on the guitar 🎸 🔥
Stevie Ray LOVED playing the blues... so yes, I can see it!!! Chris loves the blues also 💙
I love watching people's reactions to Chris Stapleton. It's priceless. Outlaw Country and Blues with soul is what I call it.
Going to see Chris in Des Moines IA in June!!! Can’t Wait!!!

Oh yeah! I’m fixing to watch this reaction! I am liking a video before I even watch it, which I NEVER do
What a complete star with such talent!
He is great. 7:57 ❤
Hes been pickin' guitar since he was 6 years old and singin' since he was 10 year's old. His Uncle taught him how to play guitar and his brother taughter em how to sing.
I want to hear his brother sing now!

Pure Genius!!! Wow
Man, I grabbed my little minpin and held her and danced with her the way you did that cereal box. She bit me 😂
Chris just wore you out!! Love your reaction so much!
He’s a beast.
Chris has named Freddie King and ray Charles as big influences.
I honestly wish I could give this reaction more like!!
Great reaction! I lean more toward Albert King similarities, although not as fast a player. I loved Stevie’s vocals as well, however, this guy can sing EVERY genre and has done so! Generational!
Free style thinking here. Love it. CS must have done his homework as I hear blues greats in his vibe.
You started dancing with the (cinnamon toast crunch) I lost it!???
You did that box wrong! You were wrong!😂
I'm with you I didn't realize he could play like that!! awesome reaction... just subscribed

Chris ain’t the most ridiculously talented guitarist but his taste and melodies are spot on. SRV is on a totally different level.
"ASK CHRIS WHY I GRABBED A BOX OF CEREAL"😂😂😂
He reminds me of SRV, but also BB King

Chris always brings the heat but his live stuff he puts the STANK on it.
I first started paying attention to Chris back in his Steeldrivers day. You need to react to some of that!
chris "cold at cma awards 2021
If you have not heard his cover of "this is a man's world " you need to listen to it!!!
Three-bass, drums, and Chris.
Death Row, Chris Stapleton ❤😊
7 words 😆 🤣 😂
Absolutely , love Chris ! But check out , Beth Hart “I Rather Go Blind”. An The Teskey Brothers , “RAIN”
Love how you had to walk it off bruh, i do it too!! 😂😂🥰✌️
New sub here! And a bit of a Chris Stapleton groupie lol! Try Fool Me Again!!! Fire
I may have got up to get a drink of a Tennessee whiskey, but not my kids cereal.
Not sure if you've done any reactions to Teddy swims but his latest single is called lose control and it will make you lose control😅😅😅😅 also any of his covers are phenomenal😊😊😊😊

You need to hear his song Some I Cry
Check out Chris Stapleton live with Justin Timberlake live in 1 take watch to the end. Its called Say Somethin'. Awesome Song. 👌
CHRIS IS A BIG FAN OF STEVIE.
If you like the blues I'm going to give you a heads up on a amazing group called The teskey Brothers they're from Australia and some recommendations are rain pain and misery all caught up and say you'll do that will start you off and you will not be disappointed😊😊😊😊😊
Check out Warren Haynes. Start with Warren Haynes with Chris Stapleton at the Ryman.
Doesn't that remind you a lot of Double Trouble with SRV ?
What do you mean. He has 8 grammars.😂
He’s channeling BB King.
Did you see his tribute to Prince.😅
Now Chris can't play like Stevie, not by a long stretch, and Stevie can't touch Chris vocally, but I can see the similarities
You just gotta do a reaction to the song Death Row, by Chris Stapleton
Chris does a live performance and he cuts loose, his grit, his vocals are off the hook. His studio versions are more restrained.
Too much talent. SRV had a good voice and was a better guitar player of course, but... Stapleton can play his ass off and his voice is just inimitable. I'd love it if Chris covered some SRV shit, actually. I dunno. I tend to think EVERYTHING is pretty awesome in context.
