Nest thermostat can save you a lot of money on your Airbnb property- especially in a desert area like Joshua Tree. NoiseAware and PartySquasher are some other great ones for busting parties or just help proactively keep the peace for your neighbors.
When you were talking about security cameras, I started typing "Do you put cameras inside?" and then you beat me to the punch. Glad I didn't hit send before I finished watching the video.😁 Good suggestion on the digital lockset. I put one on my own home a few months ago and it's already come in handy a couple of times. I needed to let the A/C repairman in once and a neighbor needed to borrow something another time. Just gave them a code and they were in. I can see how having them on your ABNB properties would be a huge plus.
😂 we actually found out after recording this video that Airbnb DOES allow for internal cameras in common areas, but it has to be disclosed in your listing
Just wondering if you guys are locking the outlets of your smart devices so that they aren't unplugged by tenants? I've been looking for a cover with a lock where I can cover the outlet because I've had tenants unplug my smart devices
Many thanks for this great content - I think i didn't get though is how you send unique code through airbnb to your guests automatically, if you can clarify this point it would be appreciated !
Do you disclose in your listing about the security camera? Thank you so much for all your videos! I’m still learning and yet to own an Abnb yet but I’m jotting down all your tips ❤️
Great video and thanks for sharing! Can you talk about how you arrange car park or garage access to your guests? Are there any tech available or for recommendation?
How do you deter guests from smoking INSIDE the house? I know I hate when I reserve a STR, and I smell smoke in the house, it's a turnoff. Especially for those guests that are not smokers. How do you handle that? Is it posted on your listing? "Non Smoking Rental" Guests will be charged an additional cleaning fee if smoke is detected?
Great overview of useful tech to use with airbnbs. I came across you guys when I was researching Minut - the noise monitors (you don’t include these in your ‘tech stack’ but they are great for monitoring noise, temperature, humidity…). Now I’ve found you I will check out your videos, thanks. V useful info here - schlage - I’d never heard of. 👍😁
I have started a property management business. Was thinking about adding my own lock on each unit for as long as I manage that unit. The issue is, I am 4 hours away from where I am managing. So, here's my question. I am thinking that I could sync my phone to the lock before installation. I would then send the lock to my maintenance man and have him install it. Would I be able to add him to the lock so that he can connect it to the wifi in the unit then after, take him off of as a user and still be connected to wifi? Am I overthinking this? Is there a better solution?
Wow great tips great tips especially the one with the web WiFi?🤔 I think these are the things that’s making me wonder how can you do Airbnb remotely I have a friend who has one in New York and it seems like he will never walk away from it with all things considered but listening to this is showing that it’s very possible
Thanks for the great video! Are the guests responsible for signing out of their Netflix etc accounts on their TVs? Or do you somehow sign them out after they check out?
Did you try out August locks? If so, pro's / con's vs. Schlage? Considering a switch from August. Smartbnb vs. hostfully for the PMS more so a cost decision or feature? Curious since you use their guidebooks.
We actually started with August Locks, but switched over because they were very glitchy for us. We had a few bad check-ins and looked for an alternative!
@@TheRealEstateRobinsons Ah! Makes sense. I am having quite a few glitches on the automation side. Been trying to work with them to fix it, but I hear you. 3 properties it's ok, 10 it's troublesome babysitting the automation haha. Thanks for the reply.
Ring security cameras give your footage to cops without a warrant and 100% of your video and audio is saved on their end. Ring should be avoided at all costs if you value your rights (4th Amendment) and privacy. I suggest Arlo
Your guests will treat your property better if they know that they are under surveillance. Also great keyless entry to let people in and out such as trade people, cleaners etc.
god the security camera take was so awful.. almost NO ONE wants a camera in a rental it feels violating and to assume that people that feel that way are just “bad people you don’t want to rent to anyways” is FCKING INSANE. typical landlord takes , pretty disgusting how shelter is so commodified specially to the likes of most of them being people like this lol
Please stop mispronouncing Schlage. Watch a commercial, or better yet, read the word. Schlage. Shhh-lay-g. Hard G at the end. Not sss-lay-zh. It helps us believe in you if you say words correctly.
@@TheRealEstateRobinsons just trying to make sure you are operating at 100%. Believe me, I appreciate the value you provide, and for the most part part you kill it. Besides, you ARE recommending a brand and product, you may as well pronounce it correctly? Keep up the good work, you two!
Closing in TN this month!!! Great info thank you!
Congratulations!! What a major accomplishment 🏆🏆
There's nothing more beautiful than seeing two young couples doing their things. Awesome job guys!

Great tips!! Thank you so much!
Yeah remote control for lights and aircon/heating go a long way to give your guests a super first impression - and saves cost
We installed on our 1st airbnb:
Ring doorbell
August smart lock
Minut noise/crowd sensor
Nest thermostat
Wifi garage door opener

Thank you for the great content. I'm using August for smart lock. So far so good
Thanks for the information you guys! Keep up the good work 😉
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed it 😁
Do you create a new guest code for each guest? I know that you can do this through Your Porter, but does SmartBnB have the same capability?

Glad you like them!
Can you share links for some of the digital guidebooks you've created?

Hey guys, what about wifi thermostats? Dont you use any?😊 thx
How about a regular rental are security systems with cameras allowed. I’m getting mixed messages.
How good of internet do you install in your locations? I know speed varies but do you get the basic, midline or higher end?

Glad you enjoyed it! Short term shop in the Smoky Mountains! 🙌🏼
Grwt video guys but just get a better microphone and lower the muisc alittle
Haha we finally figured that piece out with our newer videos
Good but show the products and speak; rather sit there and make a video, would make it more informative.
I really like your video! I'm Anne, product promotion assistant. I would like to invite you to have a review about a mini projector.
❤❤❤
Im surpriced you didnt mention smoke/fire alarms that send alerts to your phone if activated.
👍🏾😊
Personally I think the security cameras make the guestsfeel uncomfortable
Cute couple. Need a woman like that.
Another great tool to use is a microphone! Your audio sucks.
They own nothing

Sch leg is how I heard it pronounced. He only mispronounced it the first time...but, the other two times, is sounded correct to me.
