  • Stiffness and rigidity is a common symptom that people with Parkinson's Disease experience everyday. Even if you don't have these symptoms it is still very important to perform stretching movements. This will help you to maintain flexibility and mobility throughout your body. It feels so good to stretch and lengthen your muscle and improve joint mobility.

In this short video all the movements will be performed from a chair. If you experience any pain stop! Pain is different from stretching. We don't want to stretch to the point of pain.
As with any exercise consult with your Physical Therapist or Doctor.
    Equipment needed:
Sturdy chair. With or without armrest.
My recommendation is to perform some sort of stretching everyday. Visit Parkinson's Exercise Corner for more stretching and workouts all specially designed with you in mind!
