I am doing my best to be as healthy as i can. I have lost weight to be in the healthy weight band, I do not eat ultra processed food, i eat a mostly plant based diet but i do eat yoghurt and eggs. I walk my dogs twice a day, i do yoga and weight training. I'm 53, i don't have children. I want to be as healthy as i can for as long as i can.
I remember seeing Julia on the full Monty and wanting to hear more of her advice. I barely drink at all and do now question why I ever do, it’s like smoking. Knowing that davina probably recorded this while worrying about her tumour getting removed too, could see her welling up talking about having a scare 😢 two very inspiring and brave ladies
Keto! She is describing Keto! (I typed this before she mentioned the word Keto); Get out, get enough sleep, remove fragranced items, plastics and Teflon cookware. Handle stress well! And F**k cancer!
Years ago I did the south beach diet, only diet I've ever done, but what I learnt was it takes about two weeks for the sugar cravings to go. I then ate dark chocolate, but only a square, allowing it to dissolve so it lasted, more enjoyable too. I have had myeloma and unfortunately, recently leukemia due to the chemo given for myeloma and I really feel my myeloma came about due to stress, my environment and alcohol probably didn't help but stress I feel was up there! I'm in remission now after a stem cell transplant in January 2024 (my amazing cousin was a 60% match) and I too think remission isn't the best word like you guys say and im not keen on the whole 5 year thing (nearly made it when in remission with myeloma), but hey, something to look forward to. Thank you for sharing your story, really enjoyed your chat and I hope all goes well for both of you x
Really good, loved the speed of this this , full on but still relaxed and easy to follow ., we've probably all had C in our families..I feel like the BBC should be giving this interview airtime for those that dont watch UA-cam ... Hopefully people will understand the dangers of not becoming conscious about health, we've grown up in a nanny State and many people come from backgrounds where they think they are powerless.
Excellent podcast thanks Davina and Julia. Trying to educate myself on all things about woman’s health and your talks are always great. I am also reading a book by Sarah Rusbatch called Beyond Booze which covers lots of what you talk about worth a read.
Brilliant podcast, very informative and inspiring! Thank you! Would love to know which shop Julia said she would let Davina know about if you could please share with us?
Thank you 🙏 hope your both well? I really hope somebody gets this message as I would love to know if Julie is also on HRT ? I’m just in a quandary whether to start taking it or not I’m a little bit scared. Xx
One of the viewers previously queried you both about about using hair dye ? This can have lots of toxic chemical ingredients especially the boxed dyes in the shops. Davinia do you still represent Garnier ? Even the more natural brands can be toxic. It does leave the alternatives like natural Henna. Please let us know as many women are age group dye to cover the greys.
I would instead say getting a second opinion might be worth having if possible. I remember Kylie Minogue said she only received the correct diagnosis after she got a second opinion.

Wow what an amazing insightful interview. Love this.
Great content thank you, Do you both worry about dying your hair? Its one thing i cant give up just yet but worry about.
Good point do they both use the natural hair dyes or Henna ?
Isn't Davina a rep for Garnier box hair dyes ?
Thank you 🙏 hope your both well?

Very interesting thank you
This is so sad that people have chemo instead of ozone therapy.Ozone in blood has cured everything for years & few are aware🙏🙏🙏Blessings
Brilliant podcast thank you Julia and Davina ❤❤
Fantastic, is there another part to this i feel theres some missing?
Makes me wonder if mammograms are worth having 🙏🏻
I would instead say getting a second opinion might be worth having if possible. I remember Kylie Minogue said she only received the correct diagnosis after she got a second opinion.
The mammogram picked up my breast cancer - and I have dense breast tissue. I wouldn’t skip them
Me too
She still seems a bit hyper. Alot of good info. though.
Dr Neal Barnard has a book on diabetes that type 2 can be reversed in case anyone is interested.
We already know about sugar Julia!
Why do you think you are the first.?!
I know you have learnt so much , but it's not new!!!
