No... Just no... Watching you do this, is as close as I'd ever want to get to this track... lol Yourself and Andi, did extremely well 🙂Looking forward to the next episode!!!
Patrick you being a UA-camr, and knowing how the GoPro's never accurately depict slop angles properly, after seeing this video YOU would understand better than most how steep those descents actually are... I'd be pooping my pants 🙂
Great effort, she's a rough old track...looking forward to the next installment...when I saw this one, I had to stop what I was doing, make a cup of tea and some toast and settle in to live vicariously through your video...
Great video Ian. Billy goats is a rough old track. I did billy goats 24 years ago on my WR and it was stuffed back then. You did well on the V-Strom ride safe
Nice ride mate I did it a few weeks ago on the DR went up hill but only got as far as helipad. That was enough. Look forward to seeing the rest of your ride
Great job gents. It is really chopped up now. Through it was bad when I went through. The camera does not give this track any justice to the steepness. Keep the great content coming Ian 👍
Thanks Dan! Watching your videos on Billy Goat's made me both want to and not want to ride it. Although it was hard work I'm glad I did it. I'm not on the best bike for it but got through unscathed.
Lots of winching. We had a tip someone was winching there way up the hill, glad we passed him in a safe spot. Found on the internet- The ascent is 11.1km's (6.89 miles)long and the elevation gain is 1249 metres (4098ft).
At last a detailed video of Billy Goat Bluff, your filming was excellent, want to do it on my 300l Rally, what do you think would be the latest time you could do it before this winter before it gets too cold and is the track closed over winter?
Thanks! It's a long video, but I really wanted to show the whole track. It doesn't get closed over winter, while it would be beautiful covered snow it would be scary. I would probably avoid it in winter, there's a lot of solid rock, which would be slippery when wet. Patience is definitely key with this track. Try not to plan too much for the day. All the best, Ian
7:01 wow! Amazing views!!!
Great scenery. Hard to take it all in
What an incredible place where you put the drone up!!
Great view of the track we did
Terrifying yet very satisfying. Feeling alive is the best description of it!!!!!
Awesome stuff Andi!
Great description, I felt very alive the whole weekend.
@@OzADVRider You're officially an adrenalin junky now.
23:04 You fall on those rocks and you’ll be feeling that for a long time!! Tough going!!!!
Outstanding effort to get down on such a gnarly old track . At least the weather wasn't against you . Roll on part 3 . Cheers
Thanks mate!
Beautiful weather for this one. Toughest track I've ever done, my bike handled it well.
Oh man I was getting a sweat up just watching that decent... epic job!!!
It was hard work on a big bike. Worth the effort though!
No... Just no... Watching you do this, is as close as I'd ever want to get to this track... lol Yourself and Andi, did extremely well 🙂Looking forward to the next episode!!!
Thanks mate! Scariest ride I've ever done.
Next one is nice and relaxing with some gentle river crossings to begin with ; )
I’m with you Petros!!!
@@Motoramblings I'll pull up a seat 🙂
You guys have mad skills, incredible stamina, and giant balls to be out there on those tracks!!

@@in2ADV yea, to my somewhat trained eye, I could tell that was SCARY steep!!! Thanks Petros!!
I've been wanting to do this trip for a long time, I knew it was going to be tough.
Really put me and my bike to the test!
@@OzADVRider it was something! You, Andy, and the bikes really did an amazing job. I love watching it, but I wouldn’t be doing it!😂😂
That’s a scary track!!! You two are pretty impressive!!!
It was scary alright!

Cheers mate! It was a long one but I wanted to show the whole track.
Mate,fabulous...not for the fainthearted thats for sure
Thanks, it was pretty scary but very satisfying to complete it.
You certainly got a work out Ian, I was terrified with vertigo just watching. They are some crazy tracks but quite spectacular views.
It was hard work wrestling a loaded V-Strom down those rocky hills.
Amazing scenery, bit hard to take it in when you're trying to stay alive.
Great video Ian. Billy goats is a rough old track. I did billy goats 24 years ago on my WR and it was stuffed back then. You did well on the V-Strom ride safe
It was hard work but glad I did it.
The V-Strom isn't the best bike for the job.
Nice ride mate I did it a few weeks ago on the DR went up hill but only got as far as helipad. That was enough. Look forward to seeing the rest of your ride
Cheers mate! It's a tough track, don't think I could do it uphill. Not loaded up anyway.
Great ride mate, Andi must be a very good rider.
Thanks! He is a good rider.
I think I first met him on the same ride you were on a few years ago.
Now that looked like a good time. I would love to ride that but Timmy would hate it 😂
Amazing track. Very hard but worth the effort.
I don't think I could do it in the opposite direction.
Timmy can sit next to me while you and Ian go on the track! 🙂 hehehe

@@OzADVRiderDon’t sell yourself short! The vstrome 650 got the job done! And got up blue rag! Killing it mate 🤙
Even on a GoPro it looks steep!!!!
Doesn't show how big those holes are.
Track is 6.9miles long and drops 4100 ft
@@OzADVRider Wow!!!
How the heck did that Mini Van get up that track?! You must have descended 1,000 meters.

Well done getting the loaded vstrom down in one piece Ian👍 Track looks like its in fairly bad
shape atm
Thanks! It's pretty chewed up.
How long before your back on a bike?
@@OzADVRider still got a while to go unfortunately, dont think I'll be on a bike until later this year
See i wasnt exaggerating. LoL😂
Haha. No, you weren't.
I had a pretty good idea what I was in for, damn hard work on a big loaded bike
