I think governance subdues PM's. As a PM I can clearly state that governance, admin, request for changes, the entire bureaucracy surrounding PMs do not allow them to focus. I have to spend 2 days a week on blimmin administration and decorations for senior stakeholders to see.

I want to get into PM. But I’m worried its less about research, analysis, collaboration, strategy/vision etc and more about documentation, meetings and other useless shit. Is this true?
