Didn’t realize how well Danganronpa actually applies to the II finale like what?? And as a fan of both this makes me feel both happy that they can be connected and immensely depressed that this is how they connect. That ending has me in actual shambles

To be honest. The ending was perfect... it tells us that we cannot hide in our little imagination to escape from our problems... The show was just this imagination land and a playground for MePhone4 for 13 YEARS. And Cobs was an emotionally abusive father who came to pick him up.
Another minor thing I found that similar to danganronpa. The song that plays when Apple/Bow gets into the spaceship sounds very similar to Darkness Time (aka the Kaito, Maki and Shuichi training song).

It doesn’t FEEL like an ending to II in the context of the show. I see a lot of people comparing it to the ending to ONE, but there it actually made sense, as the show has always been very realistic and grounded. The quiet ending with Mephone and Cobs walking together doesn’t feel like a finale to a show like II, it would most likely end with them being recovered, them singing a big song (would be kinda cool if they brought back the melody to “she forgot”), and then defeated Cobs. That’s why I think this isn’t the real finale.

I don't expect this to be the last part, but wow do I love this bleak end to the second act. It's a culmination of all these secrets finally being revealed and despite the prospect of hope, it ends with everything MePhone created being wiped away. I also like how MePhone is still not left innocent in all of this. He may not have intentionally made his characters suffer maliciously, but he definitely initially thought of them as just characters playing their part. Just like we as viewers all have.
I hope this is how it ends, imagine an episode that’s like “uhhh they survive btw” I’d rather have a cold ass ending that puts everything up for interpretation.
Remember, in the first trailer for the 16th episode i think, they said it was a 3 parter, episode 16 the first, episode 17 the second, the last and probably finale is episode 18, still one more episode

Saw the episode today, and...wow, still can't get over that ending. Definitely puts why Cobbs was so obsessed with MePhone to a new perspective. A lot of people are jumping the gun that is the way Inanimate Insanity ends. I for one don't beeline that, since aside form the reasons APOY provided and that one of the writers apparently confirmed it, A downer Ending just doesn't fit Inanimate Insanity. I do think this could be the last season of the show, at least with the completion format, since I don't know where you can continue there. Definitely looking forward to Act 3 to see how this concludes.

So I think II 18 would be a filler (aftermath) episode of II 17. Maybe Me phone will create new characters for another show. Or maybe he will give up his dreams to Steve Cobs. Tyler Bungard: Sure there is not confirmation that mephone created him or not but unlike characters like spoiled lemon, he is not an object, he is a weird orange desert monster, so it seems unlikely he was created by mephone Spirngy: This one's semi obvious, Springtastic exists as a brand outside of the ii universe, so it's impossible that mephone created him and the product Ballpoint pen: This one my seem as a stretch but it just seems unlikely that mephone would create an inspector for his show The cameras: Once mephone met the two he acted like he didn't know them, so this could means he never created either of them. Sprinkles: Like the cameras it pretty much explained that mephone didn't create the inaimates, so yeah Spinkles is most likely alive The Floor: This one is definitely a stretch, but mephone probably would've know that The floor couldn't leave the island if he created him, so the fact that he'd didn't know shows that he may be alive The BFDI characters who appeared in ii: Pretty obvious.
Im gonna make a few predictions: Nick Le is dead Fan was correct Bow and Dough are "alive" Bot is alive The shimmers find bow Bow somehow escapes the mansion, with dough Bot says something like "sorry im late to the party... Where is everyone?" And finds bow MePhone4 dies
So I think it’s likely bot is alive, mepad is definitely alive, and even dough and bow could be. But poor bot is they are- everyone they know dying infront of them while they just stand there :(
So with everything that’s happened, two things will happen, 1: Episode 18 will happen and end the series, TRULY end the series, the end of an era, 2: A reboot, Tej only way a season 4 could happen with everything that happened in season 3 with the whole “II not going forever thing” (they even addressed the idea of a season 4) and the contestants knowing their fake and will likely not listen to mephone, the only way a season 4 could happen is with a clean slate, and we just got that

Tyler Bungard: Sure there is not confirmation that mephone created him or not but unlike characters like spoiled lemon, he is not an object, he is a weird orange desert monster, so it seems unlikely he was created by mephone
Spirngy: This one's semi obvious, Springtastic exists as a brand outside of the ii universe, so it's impossible that mephone created him and the product
Ballpoint pen: This one my seem as a stretch but it just seems unlikely that mephone would create an inspector for his show
The cameras: Once mephone met the two he acted like he didn't know them, so this could means he never created either of them.
Sprinkles: Like the cameras it pretty much explained that mephone didn't create the inaimates, so yeah Spinkles is most likely alive
The Floor: This one is definitely a stretch, but mephone probably would've know that The floor couldn't leave the island if he created him, so the fact that he'd didn't know shows that he may be alive
The BFDI characters who appeared in ii: Pretty obvious.
Im gonna make a few predictions:
Nick Le is dead
Fan was correct
Bow and Dough are "alive"
Bot is alive
The shimmers find bow
Bow somehow escapes the mansion, with dough
Bot says something like "sorry im late to the party... Where is everyone?" And finds bow
MePhone4 dies
So I think it’s likely bot is alive, mepad is definitely alive, and even dough and bow could be. But poor bot is they are- everyone they know dying infront of them while they just stand there :(
So with everything that’s happened, two things will happen, 1: Episode 18 will happen and end the series, TRULY end the series, the end of an era, 2: A reboot, Tej only way a season 4 could happen with everything that happened in season 3 with the whole “II not going forever thing” (they even addressed the idea of a season 4) and the contestants knowing their fake and will likely not listen to mephone, the only way a season 4 could happen is with a clean slate, and we just got that

Ending was cold but I really think with how big Inanimate Insanity is Adam will probably find a way to bring everybody back. I hope he does.

Why is everyone forgetting about bot? They are the only contestant not part of me-life, so they have to still be alive. This is my main hope for ii-18
