action, 7 out of 10, story, probably close to a 2 or 3
0. No plot. No character development. No respect for continuity. Designs are a mess. Basically treats the audience as if they are gibbering idiots and shits on fans

Transformers and Godzilla are two of those franchises that doesn't really require a perfect story. We all just want monsters and robots fighting & making each other's life a living hell. Yes, this movie had its flaws, every movie does. But one can't deny the soundtracks and the visuals are just top-notch.
There’s having flaws, then there is completely going against your own story line with poor writing. Also like half the things in this movie weren’t explained. Megatron randomly comes back with no explanation, Bumblebee was in WW2 even though he first arrived in the first movie, like it makes zero sense. What a shame

The movie might have been a bit of a shitstorm, but you can't say that Optimus's killing of the Infernocons and the badass kick to Megatron's face was bad. It was awesome!
Bay's films have always been great visual moments stitched together by a big bag of nonsense that some will call the plot. Zach Snyder is a bit similar but, at least in my opinion, he is usually a better storyteller compared to Bay or at least takes more risks than Bay. Which I respect more. Though both of them have a filmography that has made billions of dollars at the box office. So, going by that metric alone they are definitely doing something right. By saying that it makes me feel like a guy who has only ever listened to music his whole life without playing any instruments and then confidently goes, "That Eddie Van Hallen isn't as good of a guitarist compared to Steve Vai." That is a stupid comparison just in general, since art is always subjective, and even if I'm right, I'm still an idiot.
I think 90% of tranformer movies is "cool fight scenes and transforming stuff", as far as story telling goes? yh its a sh*t show

Killing the Infernocons was so ridiculously bad. The directors took zero effort in giving the audience a real fight scene. They just conveniently make them line up to have plot protection optimus kill them all in one swing.

honestly that cut alone is probably the best scene where megatron did actually in the end still care about optimus aka orion at some point and thinks of him as an old friend and it does canonize their old bond in the bay films (unless they already did so before i cant remember cuz of all th robots and explosions) and prime also reminiscing in some way when he says once but knows they can no longer go back to how things were because Megatron started the war
As modest and nobile as Optimus tries to be, its nice that he knows who he is, The best there is! A Warrior, A Gladiator till the end! A Prime!
Optimus was never a gladiator though. He was a library clerk before becoming optimus prime, Megatron on the other hand was an actual gladiator on cybertron
A truly wise warrior of justice vs a power hungry gladiatorial conqueror.
Funny how Megatron acted like Optimus when he said "we were brothers once" and Optimus saying "once" seemed like Megatron
Megatron was back to being a beast in this movie. He was getting 3v1ed by Hound, Bee, and Hot Rod and lost no ground, and was almost able to turn the tables on Prime with only one arm.
He got bodied by Optimus with one arm so I guess they’re pretty even

Transformers dark of the moon was definitely the most underrated of them all and people can’t appreciate how good the movie really was
1 and 3 were by far the best in my opinion

Linkin Park - Iridescent throughout the film and the end as the Cherry on top. The first TF trilogy was underappreciated
Dark of the Moon grossed 1.130 billion and was the third highest grossing movie of all time in 2011.
I honestly think 2 was the best. It's my favourite so I'm a little biased tbh😂
A missed opportunity here is that the Dinobots are missing. We could have seen them wreck havoc again.
It's actually implied slug died in the battle at the town since they sent air drones after him. Grimlock might've stayed out of depression.

@@IkesPimpHand literally sums up their whole story from cybertron before the war and i like it also teh only cut in the movie that actually shows megatron's change after TF1 no longer the conquering warmonger who wants the cube but as the one who just wanted to go back home

Megatron bested him with one arm
In Dark of the Moon it was the other way around
Megatron was crippled from the beating he took in Revenge of the Fallen. Sure, he could walk and all that, but he couldn't fly and had no integrated weapons. He could've finished Optimus, but he would've been shredded by the remaining Autobots and soldiers so he opted for negotiation.
Am I the only one who laughed at 3:35 on the how hound jumped on megatron? that was funny
The last two movies may not have been that great, but it's good to know that no matter what, they could never destroy a character like Optimus Prime.

I remember watching this alone in 3d literally the only person in the theater , in some fancy really nice looking mall in Oklahoma City, didn’t care how bad it was, I just wanted to see giant robots fight. man did my eyes feel so strained and felt like they were gonna have a panic attack trying to watch the dragon fight in 3d.
i went to watch rise of the beasts off acid and i regretted that decision half way thru

Even tho sometimes the transformers really don't like a transformers sometimes, I can still say the movie looks incredible
Out of all badass prime moments the top two easily is in transformers 2 when prime takes on like ten decepticons at once and still comes out on top and this moment when prime decapitates 5 bots at once...
And mullets Shockwave at the end of that bloodbath. Epic.
This movie had so much potential
Optimus at the start of the movie : dies to a single enemy after getting beat up badly
Optimus at the end of the movie : instagibs 7 much stronger enemies with a single combo
They weren't much Stronger on their own. They're combiners. In most transformer media. Combiners are only stronger than most cybertronians when they combine.
Also they got the drop on prime in the first movie and that was after being restrained by quentessa
This and dark of the moon are top tier action movies

As much as everyone wanted to do a film with just Transformers (or a Cybertron setting), the cgi budget is gonna be filthy expensive that's it's almost impossible unless some film companies will collab.
The one thing with these films I notice, is in one scene a robot is holding something then the next scene it isn't or the character dissapears lol

So much to live about these films. Like the way all five of those giant robots ran straight at Prime in a semicircle so he could take then all out in one dramatic swipe. Or how the human army always shows up... like they're "doing something" against the giant robots. Or how a human never just gets maimed by flying scrap or crushed under a giant metal foot... because they're so incredible at running through sparks unscathed while chaos unfolds around them.
For your first point, I can't really say much. I guess Optimus just outsmarted them. Tbh though, he probably still would've dogged on all of them. For the second point, the humans actually *do* help. Their weapons are capable of harming Transformers, demonstrated by how they hunted down Autobots and Decepticons for years after Chicago (alongside Lockdown). And third, it's never stated whether humans die to those things, or if they get injured. That could very well happen. But you also have to consider they're probably used to fighting giant robots after this long, so they probably know how to avoid getting squished.

I think one of the big mistakes with this last fight is the fact that they focus more on what they humans are doing instead of showing how the transformers are fighting which is what most people want to see. In my opinion I don't really care about what the humans are doing and where they are.
