That is one of the best rallies I've seen in offense vs defense. Wow.
Proud of Africa and elite table tennis player king Quadri Aruna showing his hole skillset right there. Absolute blasting performance against the german wall filus with some rocket forehands straight down the line. There is something wit king Quadri that is impacebale. His strength is abnormes and he has unleashed the beast under his skin. There is some son-goku shit right there when quadri is on fire.
Aruna is a clever player. He's a mix between power and control. Ruwen is definitely not easy to manage. Well done!

The match score should have been 6-6. The point was given to the Filus illegally. To restore justice, the Filus had to give two points, not one. So that the score becomes 7-7
@@maximus-b9k"illegally" or "legally" is decided by the ref, even if they make a bad call it is their choice to discern each point based on their understanding of the rules. I agree that it was probably a side hit and not an edge, but the refs decision is final. Very good sportsmanship for ruwen to even give back one point, he trusted quadris eye more than the ref and decided to give him back one. no one in their right mind would give back two.
@@maximus-b9kI will say though, it was probably purposeful that ruwen took the point then gave one back, since if he had spoken up and agreed with quadri the ref would likely have changed their decision and made the score 7-7, which benefitted quadri more than trading points. Again though, ruwen still wants to win, you can't blame him for being a little greedy even in good sportsmanship.
@@bryanwells4063 You can hear Ruwen say multiple times that he doesn't agree with Quadri, I guess that's why he gave only 1 point, as a fair way to "agree to disagree"

Aruna made fewer unforced errors and he also made a bunch of forehand slams. Filus played well some of the time but also made some errors.

He needs to work on backhand too as he sucks on back hand and you cannot beat the Chinese players if you are not adept with back hand.

Filus way of play got destroyed with new balls. It was so unnecessary and took a lot of diversity out of table tennis.
Quadri Aruna made a mistake with the side point and Filus proved to be a gentleman although he has made it clear that not everything is worth winning, just for this reason I will not watch the whole game
The replays showed it was a side ball but the point was given to Filus.
Aruna had the call right. The ball was side, also look at the replay. The ball went straight down. If you won’t watch, it’s probably not meant for you. Who cares, life goes on.

@@329salamander : Do you play? I asked because you are arguing. Almost everyone who plays knows the ball goes down when it brushes the side. The slightest hit on the edge changes the trajectory before it goes down.

Касание действительно было. Но тут явно Филус уступал. Не смог он с его топсом справа ничего сделать . Слишком быстро летит для защиты
Тут правила немножко нужно знать. Судье - это непростительно, хотя - это просто баба в косынке. Удар Филус наносил левее проекции левого края стола (именно момент удара по мячу). Мяч от края отскочил вниз. В этом случае очко должно было быть Аруне. У Аруны украли 2 очка, одно из которых ему позёрски вернул Филус

Both players have so much experience with the table. They probably have good instincts for these things by now, given the sound the ball makes, the way it falls off, all of that. If Aruna says he felt like no part of that ball touched the top of the white edge line, he probably really believes that, based on experience. Ruwen kept saying he didn't think so, not that he was pretty sure, and he must have either really been unsure or he was just being VERY nice when he gave Aruna the next point. One is more likely man.
Let's not accuse either of them of being dishonest or not noble

no not really. it has to bounce upward by any amount if it comes from outside the table area. so catching any of the actual edge of the table surface.
@@gideonunger7284I don't think there is a official, legal way to discern between an edge ball and a side ball. If hit from below the table it could hit side and still bounce up, and if hit from above the table it could hit the edge and still bounce down (extremely rarely). It is a refs decision to judge, and if the players both agree then the ref with often trust their judgement.
