Give Halo: Reach Rebalanced a try. Just be aware that the assault rifle is still not too effective against elites, but at least it now kills grunts (and not from point-blank like Halo 3's version with its disgusting snail-speed bullets) instead of making enemies multiply. Unfortunately, enemies can also fire at you from farther away. The focus rifle is also decent in PVE for once.
I love when you make gameplay videos, where you're just having fun and being funny! More of these when you don't have Infinite News! This was very enjoyable!
Fun fact: The needler in Cursed Halo functions and sounds like Snarks from Half Life. Snarks were an item that could be used by the player. They were small, bug like creatures that had a strong thirst for blood. If you threw them, they would track down any living thing they saw and attack it mercilessly until they eventually pop.
What surprised me is that not only does it function and sound like Snarks, but it actually is so much better than snarks thanks to a much larger amount of ammo.
Fun fact: the weapon titled "Unmodified Plasma Pistol" acts just like a normal plasma pistol. Press fire button to fire, hold it down to slowly charge up a nuclear explosion. You know, what a plasma pistol usually does
I've been informed I only scraped the tip of the iceberg in terms of what that 'normal' grenade can do, I'll be sure to use them as much as possible in the next Cursed Halo video
Its called a d20 grenade, it can do anything from spawning enemies, to nuclear explosions. It has objects it can spawn from trees to swarms of hunters. Pro tip never use them in corridors, you can trap yourself that way. The grenade rolls a number and that number determines the effect from a large table made by the modder.

My favorite part of the mod is how in the 343 GS cutscene, Keyes shoots himself in the head and dies due to the backwards pistol. This by itself is hilarious, but what adds on to this is that the level Keyes is completely removed. This mod, I can’t.
@@HiddenXperia The mod creator (InfernoPlus) could not get that level to work and had to remove it. Something about that level really does not like his changes. Its also quite fitting given the cutscene with Keyes shooting himself.
Wouldn’t have mattered anyways if it happened in real lore because the flood can still assimilate him into the flood, still gaining all of what he knows. I know this is just a satire parody of halo but in real lore it don’t matter if you’re alive or dead they can still obtain all the knowledge of an individual once they’ve converted them

My first time playing Cursed Halo I forgot that the cutscenes were rendered in real time using the in game engine, so when Keyes gave his speech after rescuing him on the Truth and Reconciliation I had a dancing Rick Astley/Master Chief in the background

Man, that regular grenade is a D20, in multiplayer it's damage can differ, but in campaign it rolls from many different things, like those trees, or that flashbang. It has lots, I'd say just have fun and spam em, never know what you could get next.

The cutscenes were always great since Halo basically just uses in game scripted movements with a cinematic camera. It was really inspiring for Keyes to give his little speech on the Truth and Reconciliation while a MC clone danced to Rick Astley in the background

The Snarkler is named after and designed to share the function of Snarks in Half Life and, when throwing the D20 Frag Grenade, you can sometimes hear Take A Chance On Me by Abba play when one of the more dramatic effects is about to activate.
The irony is he hasnt even scratched the surface of this mod. There is still so much more for him to see. More for him to scar his mind. If he ever experiences everything in this mod and isnt slightly rocking back and forth with slightly wide eyes at the end of it he hasnt experienced cursed halo.
The funniest part is that the campaign skips over the whole mission where you go and save Keyes on the covenant cruiser, because he did indeed kill himself
Fun Fact: The frag grenades in Cursed Halo are D20 dice. You have 20 different outcomes when throwing a frag, not to mention the world model for the frag grenade is also modeled after the D20 Die.
This is the type of stuff that everyone has wanted from a proper Halo on PC. MCC may have its problems but it’s open for modding and that’s all that matters. This mod is marvelous. The three handed plasma rifle with the fourth arm for melee and grenade throwing just cracked me up. 🖖👍
This is by far the best Cursed Halo video I have seen. The quick edits really drove home how dumb this mod is, and at the same time, spiced up the old gags and live commentary.
Fun fact: When playing normally through the campaign with this mod on, the mod author set it to skip where you gotta get Keyes' implant from his head, because he already died in that cutscene.

I'm going to need a full playthrough of this ASAP. Cutscenes have the cursed weapons and vehicles in them so it makes all cutscenes with them infinitely better.
If you play on custom edition, all the help screens are cursed as well. Never ignore names of things, they get hilarious. Also, the level Keyes isn’t in the mod because of that cutscene, and that’s an absolute win.
