When I was in Highschool, I had a problem .... My English was not to good, until my teacher announced to the class, that whoever would sing the National Anthem in front of the class, would get an A rating for the last term! And so I did, sing the 'God save the Queen'(1977) in front of the whole class and I could finish my exams on time! Thank you Mr. Walrecht for not letting me down! Joost from Holland!
MARVELOUS,THANK YOU,DECEMBER 2024
Superb orchestra and singers playing beautiful music, not heard these days. Can't there be a revival of this kind of music? I'm sure it would be most welcome.
This is a FABULOUS tribute to the Golden Age of Hollywood film musicals just AWESOME, , I just love listening to Mr John Wilson and his orchestra, every performance they perform whether it be Musicals new and old is just beyond words, all of the soloists and the Maida Vale Singers are Just superb, this is what music is about, great professional playing great lyrics. Wow, that's one of the most beautiful renditions of One Hand, One Heart I've ever heard. Bravo, and thank you, to them and to you for sharing.
The singer sans microphone very good indeed. And the wsrdrobe master/mistress/ coordinator the two women before and after the red sashed one were so distinctively dressed yet using quite simple elements.
this was absolutely fantastic. What talent, thank you for the beautiful concert!!
Oh my! This music reminds me so much of the Variety Hour performances we did in high school during the mid 50’s, directed by Bill Moeller. Such great memories.
