W210 Vlog: Joy Riding a E60 AMG

- I had the opportunity to drive the w210 E60 AMG around for a little bit and take it to a few shows. I went to South OC Cars and Coffee, Supercars by the sea, Cars and Coffee Los Angeles Mercedes feature, and the grand opening of Yost. Lot's of cool cars in this video! Got to cruise Malibu with a W203 C55 AMG, W124 E500, and a W201 190E. And afterwards we got to take both the E60 AMG and the Brabus E65 to Yost grand opening where we got to see three Koenigseggs, and a bunch of Lamborghinis!

I really like how passionate you are about w210s, I'm really glad I found your channel. One day I wish I can buy brabus version, it's really nice and the word brabus itself sounds cool. Right now I own 01 220 cdi elegance automatic and I really enjoy it. Gas prices here on Balkan are crazy for our pretty bad economy so cdi is reasonable in that sense.

@@seddamI have the w210 facelift Avantgarde model. How different is the suspension compared to the Elegance version? With the Avantgarde version, the car drives and corners like a sports car without losing comfort. Is that the same with the Elegance?

My sons got a 98 210 E430, all black with tinted windows, lowered 1.5” with aftermarket 18’s looks badass. It’s was/is his first car. He loves it!
I loved my e55 AMG wagon but here in England it rusted away before my eyes got rid off now running a w212 E63 wagon superb !

This is what heaven looks like, clean w210s riding around in LA summer. Fuck my country for pouring salt on the roads during winter. My 210 has cancer, it breaks my heart. Hopefully I can afford to restore it completely before it gets too bad :)

Long live the W210! I have a white 01 E430 Sport with 229,000 miles rust free. I just swapped in Designo green seats, door panels, and the maple wood trim from my 2000 E320 with the designo silver paint color. The E320 is rusting out badly so I don’t feel too bad about swapping it over.

For me a w210 are something familiar, safe and reliable. iv'e had 3 w210 amgs, 2x E50 AMG m119 and 1 E55 m113. beautiful cars i really regret selling.
If you can avoid rust, 210s will do a million kilometers or more (esp. the diesels), and the doors will still shut practically as new.

Is that the original radiator? Once I replaced it on my 96 S500 that needle never leaves 82 degrees no matter how hot

They’re way faster than an e55. Power numbers are almost the same as a E55 kompressor but they’re n/a

every body loves w124 but i bet the w210 is much better to drive i think they look better too
this 2 cars are absolutely fabulous from A to Z,times when Mercedes had real designers and ingineurs,not the garbage today,w210 and also w211 last E classes,what care after TOTALY SHIT
The w211 do be a beautiful car.
I would argue that the w124 was the last "good" merc. W210 already started using cheaper materials and the paint and the panels were a lot crappier (mainly because of politics they had to go "greener way"). Still they are absolutely great cars, but I just like the w124 best.

has the vertical piece of rubber at the front of your sunroof come off? my 98 clk has the rubber but its about to fall off despite being nice still. what should i stick it down with? i could ask you a million questions. the trim above my door came off too that long strip. do you know how to re attach it? i still have it lol

any idea why the placement of the trunk badging is diff between the brabus and amg?

It’s because Brabus is tuner and did everything different from Mercedes. Like the flat hood badge with their own logo.

my m112 gets that hot on 100 degree day in traffic it kinda scares me but i guess its fine
If it reaches the 100 mark and doesn’t go over it’s fine. If it goes ever then it’s a problem. You may want to refresh your cooling system if it hasn’t been done yet.

What year was that w210 to have the wire degrade? Thought after '96 the cars were safe?
I think it was on 96 and 97. Only 2 years I’ve seen it. So far it has only been the headlights and mirror wiring. The headlights actually affect all years. My 2002 has the same issue.
I believe the biodegradable wiring harness' affected all if not most MB models from late 1991 to early 1996.
Certain models. Not all. W201 wasn’t affected. It was primary the engine harness in the w124, w202, r129, and w140 during those years that would cause major issues. The w210 is only on small systems in the car like the side mirrors and headlights, luckily no engine harness issues

are the 55amg faster than m119 e60?? how does the e60 compare with the 55 what do you prefer??
E60 is faster. They both actually will drive really similar. But this e60 is fitted with wavetrack mechanically locking limited slip differential which a standard e55 will not have. So it will be able to take off the line much better and lays the power down really well. You also notice in cornering the car has more stability. At the end of the day the e55 isn’t that much slower. An E55 with an LSD will feel almost as good.
@@SoCal210 good answer i have a c140 with the m120 but i find the m113 feels more torquey low down at like 1 to 2000 is there a similar difference with the m119?
Yes. The M113 makes more of its power with lower RPM.
Mileage does not matter from my experience, I have seen many low mileage cars that were ruined. Show the car to the world drive it to shows. GOOD JOB!!! check into my videos see what rare ones I my self have got.
I am an original owner of a 2000 E55 Silver with under 17000 miles and I just got rear ended last week. Been one of the most stressful times for me as it was pristine and never involved in an accident prior. Drive your cars!
I live in the States with a 2002 E55 AMG. And Daam I want those Folding mirrors soo bad I been on the look out for over 2 yrs now and still haven't found anything like 1 the Folding Mechanism and 2 The Wiring Harness so If anyone can help me just message me on DL lol I really want them n eventually will find them..... i hope.. In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Car washs will be forbidden too because they are climate killers, now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!! (BABVVEN & TEBBVEN & BEFVO)
