I found one 3 houses from me, They were moving and put it to the curb, I had to knock on ther door and ask are you throwing that grill out? And they said yes do you want it, I was like Thankyou so much and wheeled it away in my yard! It also came with a rotisserie and a stainless steel charcoal basket I was so happy. I cleaned it up and it was like new I invested In a new grill grate for $30 They do last a lifetime. I did eventually sell it for some decent money and now I'm thinking of buying a new one but they are crazy expensive. The copper color is the Bomb!!! Happy Grilling everyone.
Great story!! these really are hidden gems. they look rough after years of use, but they sill have lot of life left. I also love the that copper color.
@@michelegrant2303 It should last, Mine just sits outside with no cover, I have had to replace the baskets the charcoal sit in and the cooking grate a couple times but other than the plastic wheels coming off this thing has been great!!!!
I have both gas and charcoal and I prefer the ritual of starting the fire etc. Gas is convenient but since purchasing my WSCG I only turned my gas grill twice and not to cook but simply turn on and roast whatever was/is living in there.
15-16 years?! Dam I didn’t know they been around that long. I just got one for Christmas. Awesome grill. Do you need to open the propane valve to open all the way? I see some do and some don’t.
I would turn the propane valve maybe 1 turn till I hear the has coming out. I don't think I ever kept turning it till it was all the way. seems like once you hear the gas coming out then just turn it a little more. I thought I was getting a new one but I still have it, Its like an old pair of pants that you don't want to throw out, but my wife keeps saying when are you going to get a new pair.
Sometimes I do get that hot spot you are talking about. not sure why, maybe it has to do with where the vent in the lid is located, not sure, thanks for Watching!!!!
I think it’s time for you to break down and buy a new one. Thanks to FJB, it’s now $579.00 at HomoDepot in June 2024. How long does a 1-lb propane tank last starting charcoal?
Just got one of these. This exact same model for free 😎. I can’t wait to use it.

Got one with the black metal tabletop. Barely used for 100 bucks. Love it. Guy had a cast iron sear plate in middle of the grate which works amazing
I had no idea about the cast iron sear. I need to look into this. thanks
@@JustADad Yep its amazing. The middle of grate pops out and the cast iron plate fits right in. It's thick and heavy too
@@JustADad of course you'll need the gourmet grate for it. It allows access to coals on both sides and the middle. Hope this helps
I have just ordered one yesterday - if it can last over 15 years that’s awesome. Waited for 2 years thinking about this one.
Still using mine and now its 17 years old.
Just got this grill today excited to get to grilling thanks for the tips ✅🙏🏽
Hope you enjoy
I have a Weber Grill…I LOVE it. By far the best grill I bought.
Right on!
Waiting for mine to arrive. If I get 15 years out of mine I’ll be a happy cooker.
I bet you will, it may not look new after 15 years but it still works and you can buy replacement parts for it still. Thanks for Watching!!!
Wow....my just arrived....looking forward to 15 years!!

Thanks for Watching, and yeah I love the charcoal also.

Thanks for watching and I think you are really going to love it.
@@JustADad yes man I’m not on bbq. I go throw them about every 2 years. I use them a lot. Lol
I really want one of those grills
Thanks for Watching and you will love it
I used the chimmey, you can get those coals whites in 15 minutes
And I used also the touch n go
I might have to get the chimney, Thanks for Sharing I had no idea it got them ready that quick. Thanks for the advice and sharing!!
Thanks again for Watching!!
Hey, I have one, & I get a hot spot on the right side near the gas starter insert, have you had this problem ? Thank you

@@JustADad , I think its from the air getting in through the propane starter hole
@@JjJj-yl6on I bet your right
Do you store it covered?
No this grill has sat outside for over 17 years
Outside for over 17 years with no cover
You sir, do not know how to grill at all.

How long does a 1-lb propane tank last starting charcoal?
