Thank you for this, Unc! This the fourth video I watched and you the only one that explained the "why" behind everything. I was definitely getting frustrated with using my grill because I wasn't sure what I was doing with the airflow. I know I'm at least on the right path with your explainations and what to correct with the zones 😂. I was definitely spreading the coals all out in the center lol. This the only video I needed ❤️🙏🏾

There are times when I spread my coals over the entire bottom and control the temp ( low ) through air flow. I think the fat dripping on the coals and adimizing that back onto the meat is fantastic. When you have the air flow choked you will prevent the flare ups. I cooked 10 lbs of chicken tenders ( to perfection ) last night and as you know they are too easy to overcook. This man is a wealth of great information and just get your webber and go, so many possibilities.

Brother this born and raised in LA with Compton, South LA and Inglewood, roots who is now living in the great City of Philly LOVES how you rep our LA teams! Except the Clippers of course lol. I do the same here and I’m hoping and praying we get to see Mookie do his thing this year with the Dodgers. I started grilling 12 years ago so I’m fairly experienced, but you never know too much about anything in life to where you know it all and are beyond any instruction that will further enhance your skills. Watching this video has reassured me that I’ve been doing things the correct way thus far, and I look forward to any other grilling tutorials that you may produce that will help all of us who are fans of yours sharpen our grills on the hot stove. Stay safe and keep up the great work!

I can tell you this. I'm a Weber gas griller all day every day, however, your tutorial has me going to get a top-line Weber kettle grill to add to my collection. I'm now seeing the same practice I use on my Weber summit that you have explained in this video. I especially like the water trough to add moisture to the long cook. The heat control had me confused but your video made it perfectly clear "stoke the fire and control the temp from the top" . The meat thermometer connected to my phone is the game-changer. I always believe this the saying "if u lookin u aint cooking:

Great vid. Another thing I like to tell new charcoal grillers is DON'T fret over the temp by playing with the vents constantly. Just let the grill do it's thing. Adapt your cook around the grills temp. Don't fight it. Because you will take a long time trying to dial it in. And depending on weather conditions, you can never really dial in a constant temp.
Oh, and them BBQ Dragon shelves are amazing. I highly recommend them

Nice tutorial on the basics on how to use your charcoal grill and on both direct and indirect uses. There are a few people out there who aren’t using the full potential of their grills. I watched as an experienced griller/BBQ’er just to pick up a tip or two. Well done, brother!

AB, this it s totally alignment for me. I was looking on UA-cam today in reference to grilling..OMG and I was looking for your teaching on this process. Love it!!! I'm going to try your technique next time. I'm certain it will turn out well. I was having a moment with controlling the temperature. Didn't know why it wasn't staying as hot... Got it..Thank you soooo much

AB, you do have a fancier setup than 90% of ppl with charcoal grills. .. and alot of ppl have never seen a tumbleweed before.
Most ppl do not have the charcoal divider, and most ppl end up using lighter fluid. It wouldn't hurt to update with a few tips for ppl on the less fancy end of the spectrum.
